I probably won't be able to make the next meet up but does anyone fancy a meet up some time in april? my baby will have arrived by then and I'll be back in Blighty to show him off to all the rellies - it'd be great to meet up with you all and also to see the newbies of other mumsnetters - just a thought anyhow

eyelash · 08/01/2004 18:29

I am definitely up for this. I would be happy to host one which would include children on a Monday or Friday. But I enjoyed our meet-ups in town without the children too.

Anybody else willing?

eyelash · 09/01/2004 19:26

Would anybody like to go to the Manchester meet-up next week. I might persuade DH to take us to the Science Museum in Manchester and then I will get the train back later on after a few drinks. It would be great to have somebody else to travel with.

chatee · 09/01/2004 19:27

hi eyelash just posted on the manchester thread...love to you honey

Moomicat · 19/01/2004 23:28

Yeah go on then, I am up for another meet-up - its been a while, but if its with kids, can only really do Thursdays or weekends (also depends on DH's shifts). I'll keep checking back. Sorry I haven't returned your call yet Eyelash - I have got my voice back now after dreaded virus but now am trying to finish final assignment for masters degree - its due in on 26th and I only started it on Monday - aaaagh

AliP · 22/02/2004 14:17

I'd be up for another meet up - I hardly ever come on Mumsnet any more so give lots of notice and I'm sure I'll check in!

Hope everyone is OK

Woozle has a baby girl last week btw, all well.

leander · 22/02/2004 22:47

eyelash · 23/02/2004 07:39

AliP - can you also send on my congrats to woozle and family.

Anyone else up for a meetup? How about the last Saturday in March or April?

chatee · 23/02/2004 12:03

hi everyone-hope you're all ok-i'm definetly up for a meet up in march/april.
can you all believe that i'm still pregnant-yep i'm now 38+weeks which is amazing considering i was told this one would arrive early like dd, especially after the scare at new year.
just feeling rather bored(i know that's really selfish of me)as everything is ready and has been for ages and i finished work at new year because of the scare.
so yeah count me in for the meet up
congratulations to woozle-hope they are all fine

leander · 23/02/2004 22:22

Hi all, yes I am up for a meet in March ,Its my birthday on the 25th so not that weekend if poss.
Chattee i am so pleased for you you take care and look after your self and hopefully see you and your new babs soon

OP posts:
eyelash · 24/02/2004 19:24

Well done chatee - and best of luck with the last remaining weeks.

Leander - how are you getting on?

I can't do the 2 April as we are away and then the next two weekends I assume we will all be tied up with easter.

How about the 23 April or 1 May?

AliP · 03/03/2004 09:48

Looks like it could be hard to all get together - 24th April is dh's 40th birthday party so i'll be busy and away 1st May could do Sat 27th March if that is of any use to anyone. If its with Children then i can do most Fridays if that's OK with people.

Eyelash I've got some stuff of yours to return so we must meet up again.

Woozle had a little girl - Annabelle Jane and I'm going to visit them for the first time today!! Yippee a new baby.

Well done to Chatee - you must be so proud to have made it this far. When we meet you might have a lovely new baby that we can all goo over.

Leander how are things going?

Ali

eyelash · 03/03/2004 17:05

AliP - how are Woozle and family. She certainly picked a lovely name. I hope you passed on all our regards. Give me a ring and we will arrange to meet up soon. I am busy until the end of next week, but fridays are normally good.

As for the meet-up - any other dates? How about the 16th May which is a Saturday. Or any other suggestions?

leander · 04/03/2004 10:25

Hi eyelash I think the 16th may is ok with me,we have got friends coming home from Japan and are hoping to go away for the weekend around the end of April beginning of May but as i say hopefully that will be ok.
Thanks for asking about me I am feeling ok,still having bad days usually when I see my pregnant sil and pregnant friends but I suppose thats normal. We are thinking about trying again soon so hopefully everything will be ok.
How are you feeling? I've been keeping up to speed with you on the October thread and glad everything is going ok.
Alip how are Woozle and baby Annabelle(what a pretty name)and how is everyone else.

OP posts:
eyelash · 05/03/2004 06:13

chatee · 05/03/2004 15:56

16th may should be fine with me too(pencil it on the calender now)looking forward to seeing you all...ps:thinking of changing my name to
"daisy belle the cow" as ds is continually attatched at the mo(what is it with boys and boobs??)

eyelash · 07/03/2004 08:56

Apologies - the Saturday is the 15th May. Hope that is still ok. At the moment is seems so far away but I will make sure to bump this up a few weeks beforehand. Hopefully Woozle and Chatee will bring the babies!

Quackers · 19/03/2004 16:00

AliP · 05/04/2004 10:36

Sat 15th May is good with me - almost an anniversary meet up of the first Liverpool one.

littlejose - we have only met a few times but would love you to join us - whereabouts are you moving to as if you are feeling lonely and are local to me I'm always up for meeting up earlier if that would help.

I'm not sure if Woozle is still posting but I'll let her know about the date.

Eyelash - will phone soon i promise, head been in a bit of a bad place recently! is there some good news i need to catch up on?

aliP

AliP · 05/04/2004 11:42

Leander - after I'd sent the last post realised what you had said and went and read your thread, oh your poor thing - what a horrible experience. I hope you are beginning to feel much better - you are in my thoughts.
Ali

eyelash · 05/04/2004 13:04

AliP - thanks for reviving this thread again. Do ring soon and pop in for a cup of tea. Your ds must be very big by now!

So looks like the 15 May is a good day for a fair few of us. Really looking forward to seeing some old and new faces. Anybody suggest a venue or should we stick with the Life Cafe? At least it is central and they are happy to accommodate children.

Hope everybody is well.

pinklady756 · 08/04/2004 17:32

Hi there

Another newbie here. I'm Chris, I'm 24 and live in Southport with my fiance & 2.5 yr old son Thomas. We've lived here a year & after initially thinking our stay in the north west was temporary, it turns out we're staying put. Would be lovely to meet some new people as I only really know one other mum up here.

Weekends are no good for me I'm afraid. Tend to be visiting family etc as we've moved away from them all. Also my fiance works quite long hours so we tend to make the most of the weekends.

Whereabouts do you all live then?? Anyone round the corner??

Chris
