Dear all,
as there seem to be a group of us, would you like to meet up? Maybe in the new year?
I'm in Heaton in Newcastle.
Miranda.

sorry to butt in, but depending on when your meet up is, I may be able to come? My parents are in newcastle, and I'll be coming up (from London) at least every month or so in the next few as Mum's been ill and is in hospital.
Could I 'intrude' if I'm around - i can still speak geordie!!

popsycal · 04/01/2004 19:30

oh yes mo!!!
we havent had a meet up here before...well, recently anyway....
you would be very welcome
it woul dhave to be a weekend for me....

miranda2 · 07/01/2004 15:21

I'm in! Would love to meet up with you all.

OP posts:
lazyeye · 07/01/2004 15:23

I'd be up for it. Any weekend really except this forthcoming one............

miranda2 · 14/01/2004 10:36

Right, lets get this organised!
Saturday lunchtime seems to be best for people.
How about Saturday 28th Feb, lunch somewhere in Gsoforth/Jesmond/Heaton? (You can all come to my house if you like!) I know its a long time away, but its the first one I can do apart from this week, and gives everyone time to get it in their diaries.

OP posts:
lazyeye · 14/01/2004 10:41

Should be okay for me.........

Beccarollover · 14/01/2004 10:44

Should be fine for me too - it will probably be my last weekend as a SAHM as Ill be back to work beginning of March!

Where?>

miranda2 · 14/01/2004 13:20

Someone further down recommends something called Ti Amo in jesmond vale - not sure where this is? Or one of the Cradlewell places - Santanas or Cafe Bar One maybe? Or Picassos or Arlecchinos in Heaton? Or as I say, all welcome to bring something and have a big picnic in my front room (vicarage so plenty of room!!).
Anyone else? Lets put this in the diary for those of us who can make it and make it definite, we can always do another if some people can#t make it.

OP posts:
Beccarollover · 14/01/2004 14:21

Are we bringing kiddies?

elliott · 14/01/2004 15:40

ti amo's is in Sandyford - not sure which road exactly but can find out. I've heard good things about it especially re child friendliness so would suggest its the best option of those listed (other than your front room of course!) Its also extremely close to me so I will put the date in my diary (but probably not bring ds1).
btw miranda, came to your church on Xmas eve - you may have noticed a kamikaze redhaired toddler trying to climb onto the stage and a harrassed mum trying to stop him! (but then again you may have had other things on your mind)

lazyeye · 14/01/2004 15:43

Oh God - it would have to be very child friendly to accommodate my 2 (3 and 1 plus bump) so even if you do decide to bring kids, might not bring mine, or maybe just one.......

popsycal · 14/01/2004 17:13

ooooh exciting!
count me in too!
now i am getting nervous!

miranda2 · 15/01/2004 13:23

You came to my church!!! Well, no worries about meeting up then - you've already seen me at my worst! As far as I could tell all the toddlers were trying to climb onto the stage, apart from mine who was trying to take all teh soft toy sheep (shepherds props) and hide them in the choir stalls...did you hear a mega tantrum halfway through? That was him protesting when I stopped him...
We can do kids or not, I'll either leave him with dh or bring him as you like (or are we bringing partners too???). Ti Amo it is since its had two recommendations. Can't wait! We'll leave it to a bit closer to book, to see who's coming.

OP posts:
popsycal · 15/01/2004 17:29

What date are we going for?
Dh works saturdays every few weeks so the date wil depend on whether i bring ds or not
what is everyone's gut reaction about brining kids?
What age kids do you all have?
My ds is 17 mths

popsycal · 15/01/2004 21:20

thought i would bump this up again

Beccarollover · 15/01/2004 21:23

Ive put the 28th on the calendar I have an 18wk old and a 4 year old, I dont think Ill bring meg (4) even if we bring kids she is HARD work at the moment but if everyone else is taking little uns ill take harvey but just as happy not to! (can have a couple of glasses of wine that way!)

popsycal · 15/01/2004 21:24

28th jan?
is that a saturday?
were we going for lunchtime?afternoon?

miranda2 · 17/01/2004 16:47

Sat 28th Jan, lunchtime, Ti Amos.
My ds is 2.5. What do you think re bringing them? If we did all want to bring them, maybe we should go to a pub with softplay or something, either for lunch or after, so we can all chat without having to break off to supervise every 2.8 secs??

OP posts:
miranda2 · 17/01/2004 16:47

Meant 28th Feb, not Jan.

OP posts:
popsycal · 19/01/2004 11:54

thought i would bump this thread up...

lazyeye · 19/01/2004 12:09

I don't think I'll bring either of mine as not well behaved at all in any sort of adult restaurant if we were going for Ti Amos, (plus will give me bit a break) but don't mind at all if anyone else bringing theirs.

popsycal · 19/01/2004 12:10

is it feb or jan??
and lazyeye, where abouts in whitley do you live??

lazyeye · 19/01/2004 12:12

I'm confusted now ...I thought it was Feb, 28th Jan would make it a Weds which prob couldn't make. Do we mean Feb?

Popsy - I live in North Sheilds, opposite where Preston hospital used to be.

popsycal · 19/01/2004 12:14

why did i thikn you lived in whitley bay??
bizarre

lazyeye · 19/01/2004 12:17

I used to live in Whitley till quite recently, parents live there, lot of friends. I might well have even said I do cos there isn't really much difference.......though there is some snobbishness 'bout lovely old Shields.
