VERY glad to hear that Christmas is alive and well elsewhere and that it's not just that DS has inherited my festive gene! I thought you'd really appreciate us talking about Christmas Deb
Fingers crossed you get the keys ok tomorrow Deb! How are things with the search for somewhere to buy?
LaG - when will you move? Are the boys excited?
Gig, I hope you managed to get some sleep last night. How is DD2 doing? The photos you have on fb are gorgeous. How is DD1 enjoying being a big sister? Did you resort to the gate to keep DD1 from waking your DH? I was thinking about you re: late night tv watching during feeds - not sure if you can get it anywhere but have you watched Pan Am at all? It's actually been cancelled so there will only be about 12 episodes or so but it's my new favourite guilty pleasure. It requires zero concentration and would be perfect for 2am feeds etc!
Back on Christmas (just for Deb
) - I have posted on a Christmas thread!!! But only to tell the OP that I wouldn't buy presents before August. She wants to buy her DSs (one is 3 just now) 'main' presents now. I'd say approaching 4 is definitely the age to start holding off buying big presents till as late as possible. After the rocking chair incident I've learned that buying early is a risky strategy with young ones! How did all of your DC like their presents by the way? Any big hits or misses? I think with Christmas being so busy we probably didn't have that kind of chat. Gig, what was the present that was getting shipped to France - was it a piano? DD1 isn't playing lullabies on it at night to 'help' DD2 sleep is she?
Actually, on lullabies, DS is currently wreaking revenge for 3 years + of my tuneless dulcet tones - he now insists on singing lullabies to me. And yes, he's clearly inherited my, ahem, musical ear.
I'm at work so I really should get back to it!
