We go on Thursday afternoon straight after music concert at Ethan and Tristan's school. We're back saturday night, can't wait

just got to get house visitor ready though , get sorted out for school in my absence and make sure all boys stuff is organised too.Nanny and Grandad have the joy of Sports Day on Friday as it was cancelled today.

Will be worth it when you get away. Big gig had her sports day yesterday. I avoided parents Race but have to admire the woman who ran it in high heeled wedge shoes ...

I have to share a few names from DS1's Reception class. This is the class of 30 not a selection from the whole year of 90 so quite an impressive haul I think. We have:
2 Finns
1 Flynn
1 or maybe more Freddie's
1 Tyler-Rae
1 Maggie-Mae (Different surname to Tyler-Rae so not related)
Finally, twins called William and Edward (Bill & Ted in fact)

Bill and ted? Really

Maybe there are a few country music fans inmidsomer your village with those double barrelled names.

I have to say that one of my absolute pet hates is double barrelled names, I think they are utterly awful . Not too many duplicates in DS1's class (except three with his name which I told dh would happen ) but HT was telling us that 3 years ago she had a class with 8 girls called Mia!!! I would seriously have considered changing schools!

PMSL at Bill and Ted - but did know brothers called Jack and Daniel .

Forgot to say that another member of the class is the youngest son of the family who we bought this house off. If you remember they left it in an interesting condition. Feel really sorry for the little boy. They haven't been to the new parents' evening or to any of the story times yet. What are the odds of DS1 befriending him and then having to have him/his mother back over to their old house. Too weird.

I think I need to name change soon as there is too good a chance of outing myself in our new location.

weird to think of 90 in the year group, we have 6 starting at my school and there will be 15 Reception at Ethan's school.

I'm back with a on my face, what a match!! The atmosphere was incredible, we had such a good time. I did wave to you all but we were 4 rows from the very top so you couldn't see me, but Ethan is positive he saw us and waved!!Can't wait to see the final now.

That is such a small class - a world away from the SE of England with their bulging at the seams classrooms! I have a school in Bracknell in my patch who will have Y5/6 classes of 38 next year !

Did our first fundraising event yesterday - £367.15 raised, and a lot of fun had .

I've taught 38 Y3/4 in a temporary classroom, nightmare!

I have just bothered to count how many weeks our summer holidays will be once preschool finishes on Friday:

Dh had money on federer plus it's all about tour de france here.

I know - dd1 started holidays and it's a long stretch. Just sorting out her uniform now as don't want to leave until last minute then find out havent got it.

Back in to hospital for round 2 tomorrow so I will be expecting more interesting news even if you have to make it up
