Getting exciting now Grin Wink!

OP posts:
Gigondas · 03/07/2012 19:38

Grin when are you off to wimbledon?

SurprisinglyCurvaceousPirate · 03/07/2012 19:54
Grin
disguisedeb · 03/07/2012 20:40

We go on Thursday afternoon straight after music concert at Ethan and Tristan's school. We're back saturday night, can't wait Grin

disguisedeb · 03/07/2012 20:42

just got to get house visitor ready though Sad , get sorted out for school in my absence and make sure all boys stuff is organised too.Nanny and Grandad have the joy of Sports Day on Friday as it was cancelled today.

Gigondas · 04/07/2012 07:02

Will be worth it when you get away. Big gig had her sports day yesterday. I avoided parents Race but have to admire the woman who ran it in high heeled wedge shoes ...Grin

LaGuerta · 04/07/2012 20:10

Have a great trip Deb. Hope you enjoy Murray on Friday. Lucky you!

I have to share a few names from DS1's Reception class. This is the class of 30 not a selection from the whole year of 90 so quite an impressive haul I think. We have:
2 Finns
1 Flynn
1 or maybe more Freddie's
1 Tyler-Rae
1 Maggie-Mae (Different surname to Tyler-Rae so not related)
Finally, twins called William and Edward (Bill & Ted in fact) Grin

Gigondas · 04/07/2012 20:18

Bill and ted? Really Grin

Maybe there are a few country music fans inmidsomer your village with those double barrelled names.

Survived dd1 party...

SurprisinglyCurvaceousPirate · 04/07/2012 21:30

Have fun Deb!

I have to say that one of my absolute pet hates is double barrelled names, I think they are utterly awful Blush. Not too many duplicates in DS1's class (except three with his name which I told dh would happen Hmm) but HT was telling us that 3 years ago she had a class with 8 girls called Mia!!! Shock I would seriously have considered changing schools! Grin

PMSL at Bill and Ted - but did know brothers called Jack and Daniel Grin.

Glad you survived the party gig Smile.

LaGuerta · 04/07/2012 22:56

Glad the party went well Gig. It is quite a relief once it is done isn't it?

The twins aren't known as Bill and Ted to be fair.

Forgot to say that another member of the class is the youngest son of the family who we bought this house off. If you remember they left it in an interesting condition. Feel really sorry for the little boy. They haven't been to the new parents' evening or to any of the story times yet. What are the odds of DS1 befriending him and then having to have him/his mother back over to their old house. Too weird.

I think I need to name change soon as there is too good a chance of outing myself in our new location.

disguisedeb · 04/07/2012 23:48

weird to think of 90 in the year group, we have 6 starting at my school and there will be 15 Reception at Ethan's school.

Can't wait to see Murray, this is going to be his year Grin

well done for getting through party Gig

Pirate love ds's hat, wished I'd done that with my new starters

SurprisinglyCurvaceousPirate · 06/07/2012 15:28

Thanks Deb, he was so proud of it Smile. One to do for next year! You have six kids in your class???? Shock!

Alex is in an intake of 60 which is one of the smaller primaries in our area.

Secret, happy birthday to your DS!! Smile

disguisedeb · 08/07/2012 00:24

I'm back with a Grin on my face, what a match!! The atmosphere was incredible, we had such a good time. I did wave to you all but we were 4 rows from the very top so you couldn't see me, but Ethan is positive he saw us and waved!!Can't wait to see the final now.

Pirate, I'll have 14 in the class, 6 Reception and 8 Year one.

SurprisinglyCurvaceousPirate · 08/07/2012 09:56

Grin at Ethan, bless him Smile.

What an amazing year to be at Wimbledon, you lucky thing!

That is such a small class - a world away from the SE of England with their bulging at the seams classrooms! I have a school in Bracknell in my patch who will have Y5/6 classes of 38 next year Shock!

Did our first fundraising event yesterday - £367.15 raised, and a lot of fun had Smile.

disguisedeb · 08/07/2012 11:19

I've taught 38 Y3/4 in a temporary classroom, nightmare!

Just the best time to be at Wimbledon, I said to everyone here, this is going to be his year because we were going!!

Now I'm trying to cook lunch, plan this week and write reports, all before 2.00, why am I on here?

SurprisinglyCurvaceousPirate · 08/07/2012 20:43

Hmm, there was a certain inevitability to that result!

LaGuerta · 08/07/2012 21:06

Evening all. It was pretty sad at the end wasn't it.

Not much to report here. Will come back when I have something to say.

LaGuerta · 08/07/2012 21:08

Evening all. The end was pretty sad for him wasn't it.

Not much going on here. Will be back when I have something to say. Smile

LaGuerta · 08/07/2012 21:10

Sorry for double post: wifi messing me around.

disguisedeb · 08/07/2012 22:25

i cried Sad

SurprisinglyCurvaceousPirate · 08/07/2012 22:43

Aw Deb, you softie x

LaGuerta · 09/07/2012 08:07

I have just bothered to count how many weeks our summer holidays will be once preschool finishes on Friday:

8 Shock

If I wanted him to have holidays this long I would have gone private Wink

Deb - I might have shed a quick tear too Blush

disguisedeb · 09/07/2012 09:59

Maybe counting before he's finished for the holidays was a bad idea

Gigondas · 09/07/2012 10:26

Dh had money on federer plus it's all about tour de france here.

I know - dd1 started holidays and it's a long stretch. Just sorting out her uniform now as don't want to leave until last minute then find out havent got it.

Back in to hospital for round 2 tomorrow so I will be expecting more interesting news even if you have to make it upGrin

deb glad you had a nice weekend even if results weren't what they should have been.

LaGuerta · 09/07/2012 13:40

Ok. Will try harder to be interesting.

What about... DS2 ate play doh at play group this morning and was sick on me...
...nope, that's both banal and unpleasant.

Gigondas · 09/07/2012 14:57

Nice- I have always hated play dough.

Dd2 did a fairly epic sick incident on dh yesterday - I am afraid I laughed
