Hi. Sorry for absence. Its been a busy few days.

We are in N Yorks this weekend for PILs ruby wedding party tonight. Lots of visitors and family of DHs coming that I have never met before. Plus my mother and father lurking in their caravan. DS1 has a stiff neck from the trip up i assume, and is wandering round with his head bent over on one side . DS2 has two sticky eyes . The weather is crappy. Apart from that all is well .

Just been shopping with DH and bought a bargainous Clements Ribiero dress for tonight in TK Maxx RRP £225, TK Maxx price £30 . I do love TK Maxx.

Party starting at 3pm but feeling a bit despondent as had loads of drop outs . Sure I'll be fine once I get there but mood has not been helped by fight between the boys an hour ago which has left DS2 covered in blood and with a badly cut ear and DS1 morose cos it was his fault .

Glorious weather today. The sandpit is proving a big hit with DS1. Now if I could just get DS2 to sit in there for two hour stretches too... I would be able to put my feet up

Thanks. Whilst the people of Sussex have undoubtedly been very friendly, it doesn't extend that far.... Although I have been told that the next door but one village to ours does have something of a reputation for everyone having affairs with each other.

Party looked great Pirate.Gig, glad you've a bit of a break from Chemo, SP we still have the mismatched chairs look in our dining room!!lAg, shame you didn't buy in that village, you could have provided us with some interesting tales!

Nothing to report here, busy with work, still no Ofsted, still no sign of teacher coming back, she's off until half term and then we'll see. But they're my class now I don't want to give them back. Survived parents evening last night, couple more tricky ones still to see.

Hi Deb, you sound really busy. What age are you teaching again? Would you want to be made permanent if it came up? I felt a bit bad about not getting in contact with you last weekend prior to our flying visit to the PILs wedding anniversary party, but it sounds as though your hands are full! I suspect that I will take the boys up again for a week in the summer hols. It would be good to get together if you fancy it? Have you heard of Preston Park near Stockton? Fab adventure playground that your big boys would love too I think.

Better go and do some tidying up I think.

Start with a black bin bag and then.......sew/glue something yellow on . Chop up some cheap yellow dusters?? Alice band with antennae attached. Plastic bin bag does sound both sweaty and a suffocation risk though. Is it for a performance or all day?

Yes I seem to be watching Eurovision. DS1 was too for quite some time. I have finally managed to pack him off to bed after he came back down to eat his birthday cake from a party this afternoon.

Forgot to update you on Annika Rice music woman. This week the hot weather resulted in a skirt and bare legs. I was able to establish that she was wearing black knickers. Happy days. I would say though that her legs were slightly closer together in their naked form than when clothed. Small mercies and all that.
