Getting exciting now Grin Wink!

There's a lack of thinking in evidence here tonight. DH and I have had many words tonight. It's a conversation that we have regularly and will no doubt once again fail to resolve anything. Wine anyone? Apparently DH gets no time to himself. It is true, I often get time to myself to do housework and other jobs that would never get done if I didn't recognise they needed doing while DH goes off and does fun things with DH.

Moan aside, good luck with the move LaG!

TheScottishPlayer · 08/02/2012 23:08

DH does fun things with DS. Not himself.

TheScottishPlayer · 08/02/2012 23:11

Oh, no wine involved in purchase of Madonna tickets! I'm not as much of a fan of more recent stuff, but it's one of those 'event' type things isn't it? It's like a big rugby match, even though it bored me to tears I feel left out when everyone I know in Edinburgh is at/watching a big match. DH really likes her though but I might sell his ticket Grin

Gigondas · 09/02/2012 07:47

Good luck with move lag. And sorry to hear gin got packed Grin

Scottish that argument does sound frustrating. It can't help that on top of stuff around house you have been studying too.

Ok night which makes my mood better and taking it easy today as my mum coming over to look after little e (dd2) which involves fighting with nanny over who feeds her Wink

TheScottishPlayer · 09/02/2012 13:12

Thanks Gig. I'm probably being really unfair to DH. He has to fit in a day's work at home so he can have a day off during the week and he does do loads e.g. cook dinner etc. It's just that he doesn't seem to think about anything. I'm fed up of being the only person that tries to come up with ways to make us a bit more efficient during the week so we can have more time at the weekend.

I meant to say thanks for posting what your weekend days are like LaG. I guess with us both working almost full-time makes it a bit more difficult to keep on top of things at home (not that it's easy to keep on top of housework and entertain children during the week). Once you get back to work Stitching I'll be interested to hear how you manage things.

I hope you have gin nappies and other essential supplies for today LaG Grin

If you're able to log on Deb - how are you settling in to the new place.

Do we know when mudwiggle is coming back - v soon surely?

TheScottishPlayer · 09/02/2012 17:33

Disappointing house valuation

Gigondas · 09/02/2012 17:53

Oh no- was it so bad not worth moving?

StitchingMoss · 09/02/2012 18:31

I don't expect I'll manage at all SP, but then I have incredibly low standards in housework, so I'm not worried Grin!

Just texted LG and she's all moved in and loves the new pad (always good to hear!) as do the boys. Will really miss having her 40 mins away Sad but thankfully they now live not far from my folks so will still have an excuse to bug her visit!

Gig, hope you've managed to get some rest today, will be thinking of you tomorrow xxxxx

Haven't heard from mudwiggle for a while - she must be back very soon!

StitchingMoss · 09/02/2012 18:32

Oh and sorry to hear about the valuation SP Sad.

TheScottishPlayer · 09/02/2012 18:57

Glad to hear LaG is loving the new place.

We've got another estate agent coming tomorrow but I think we'll need to stay put for another year. It's just a wee bit short of what we need - not huge amounts, but enough to bugger up loan to value calcs for a mortgage and would make things a bit tight. Also, because it's all just a bit tight we wouldn't be able to drop our price so don't want to risk paying out fees and not being able to sell. Now, if we could just persuade DH's p's to downsize and handover some of his inheritance now, we'd be fine! Grin

Gigondas · 09/02/2012 19:14

That's good news on lag and hope waiting that bit longer helps you scottish.

Am ok re tomorrow but also terrified so any good thoughts appreciated.

I can't remember when mud said was coming back but I do know it's pretty imminent. Don't envy her tho as weather shit here.

StitchingMoss · 09/02/2012 20:06

((((((((((Gig)))))))))))

Have just messaged Mud to see if she can enlighten us Smile.

Not had a good week diet-wise, 2 lbs on, but still 14 lbs down. Just need to get refocussed Blush.

Signed the contract with the CM today - it's all starting to feel very real now!

Huge hugs and positive vibes from the not so frozen North Gig. Like everyone else, I'll be thinking of you tomorrow xx

TheScottishPlayer · 10/02/2012 20:14

Good to hear, thanks Stitching.

Gigondas · 12/02/2012 18:08

Hi all- just marking my place . Still in hospital but op went well and I can walk . Still feeling up/down (prob not helped by big op drugs etc) but looking forward to going home in a day or two.

How has everyone else been (assume mud and lag in various stages of moving)? Scottish is it half term for you as well as here (or does that not matter with s nursery)

disguisedeb · 12/02/2012 18:18

Finally got back online after mobile mess up.glad to hear gig ok after OP,I was thinking about her on Friday.
All happy here but fed up with unpacking and trying to find homes for all our stuff.loving the house though

LaGuerta · 12/02/2012 18:56

Hi everyone. We are just about back online too.

Gig - glad the op went well and you are beginning to get over it. Hope you can get home very soon.

Our move went well. Despite every corner of the house being scuffed, scribbled on, dented etc I LOVE this house. The views of the Sth Downs are amazing and the rooms are so spacious. It's going to be a great house but not until some serious elbow grease has been used. It was cleaned before they left though which is better than expected. This meant that only some of the kitchen shelves were covered in mouse droppings.

Gigondas · 12/02/2012 20:02

Glad you are settling in and like it lag.

Gigondas · 12/02/2012 20:02

And also deb glad things getting sorted - pressed send too soon Blush

TheScottishPlayer · 13/02/2012 16:56

Hi, just marking place really while having 5 minutes with a cuppa.

Half term here but it makes no odds to us as DS's nursery is year round. It meant the museum we visited was VERY busy though! Glad moves all went well. How are you feeling today Gig?

Oh Gig, on One Day - I spent the first half of the film moaning about all the stuff that they missed out and I don't think squeezing 20 days into an hour and a half worked well, but, if you have low expectations it's a fairly undemanding film which would be good if you find yourself on the sofa with DD2 for an hour or so. Oh, and it made me cry when it got to the inevitable conclusion even though I knew it was coming Blush

DizzyDancing · 13/02/2012 20:45

Hi all, have changed my username - what do you think? Grin Any Joni Mitchell fans amongst you will recognise it's origin!

Gig, it's lovely to hear your updates both here and on text. I'm still waiting for my baby cuddle though Grin. Hope you will be home soon - although I suspect you'll be getting a lot more rest in hospital then at home!

LG, the house sounds amazing - can't wait to see it this week Smile. I'm going to stay at my parents on Thursday night too - kill two birds with one stone Smile.

Deb, glad the house move went well for you too Smile.

Still haven't heard anything from Mud - is she home yet?

SP, half term here too which means going out and about is a nighmare - going to be even worse when our kids are school age too though Grin!

Our 12th wedding anniversary tomorrow - can't believe it. We can't get a sitter so we're taking the boys out for lunch, very romantic!

disguisedeb · 13/02/2012 21:03

Just a quick ((((((((gig)))))) hope you're doing ok and get home soon.

Lag, so pleased you love your new house after FL the heartache getting there
