I have a 3 month old dd and really need to get out and meet some other mums in the area or even just email/post on here - just feeling a bit isolated at the moment and all my friends are single and childless. I live in the Tunbridge wells/Tonbridge area and would love to hear from anyone who lives near

Hi there

Nice to know there is someone in the area :-) am run off my feet trying organise xmas at the mo as are you I expect but will keep an eye on the thread.
I muist make the effort to get out and about a bit more in the new year as much for dd as myself.
What kind of things did you find were good to go to when your were little?
I have thought about NCT but feel a bit odd about just turning up at a cofee morning without knowing anyone - does anyone have any experience of these?

Hi,
I live just outside of sevenoaks. I have two boys, 2 yrs old and 4 months old. Feel free to contact me. The isolation is hell isn't it!?

gingernutlover · 16/01/2006 12:58

Hi - yes. I have had to start getting out and now go to music classes and swimming with lo which helps but of course all costs money! Wish I knew people who could just come round for a cuppa sometimes but its commuterville round our way!

Hi there

I live in Sevenoaks and have 2 dd's 3 and 10 months. Would be happy to meet up for a coffee if you fancy it.

gingernutlover · 16/01/2006 14:04

Hi there, would be good to meet up for a coffee sometime, I don't really know sevenoaks that well but it's not far from me up to A21 or there are lots of places in TW.

This area seems to be quite devoid of mumsnetters doesn't it. Maybe if we could rustle up a little group we could have regular meet ups?

Sounds good to me

Hi

just joined so new to this. Live outside sevenoaks and would like to meet up. My daughter will be 1 next saturday. It would be also interesting to me if anyone knows any good mother and baby groups.

gingernutlover · 21/01/2006 20:47

Hi sorry have been away from PC for a while. Are there any days which are good for people to meet? Also where would be best, we could rotate between t wells, tonbridge and sevenoaks maybe? When you say outside sevenoaks, do you mean t wells side or further afield. Wednesday and Friday are good days for me at the moment.

Also I go to some baby things but all in t wells I'm afraid, but I know aquatots do classes at a hydrotherapy pool in sevenoaks - not sure where but could find out although their classes are a little pricy. We also enjoy Humpty Dumpty Club - music sessions their website is - www.humptydumptyclub.co.uk and I think they have classes starting in sevenoaks soon, they are fab

Hi there

Hope all is well with you. Thanks for that information, I will look into it.

I can get to both T wells and Sevenoaks so if everyone wants to meet up that would be good.

Mel31 · 23/01/2006 13:32

Hi,
Would be great to arrange a meet-up. Unfortuneately I can't travel too far but if you can organise something fairly local I will definetely be up for it?!

snufflepuss · 23/01/2006 14:02

I could do a Friday morning but if in TW would have to be quite early as have to pick up dd1 from pre-school at 12 noon.

gingernutlover · 24/01/2006 12:38

hi - sevenoaks would be fine as dd likes car rides - sends her to sleep I can do any time wednesday or friday

snufflepuss · 24/01/2006 14:03

Ok shall we say Sevenoaks then. Friday is still best for me. Unfortunately I can't do next week but can do Friday 10 February - which gives us a bit of notice.

So who wants to come for coffee

gingernutlover · 24/01/2006 18:34

gingernutlover · 31/01/2006 10:14

can anyone suggest a good place in sevenoaks for us to meet? I'm afraid I know how to get there but that's my limit.

I'mon for meeting up too! I'm in TW but can get to sevenoaks and have a DD 2.5. Can't do 10th morning though so maybe keep me posted for next one. Though if its pm I will be there too

Mel31 · 02/02/2006 16:34

Hi,
I can't make the 10th but if it goes well and you organise another meet let me know. I'll keep an eye on the thread. Hope you all have a great time.

gingernutlover · 02/02/2006 18:27

I'm not sure what there is in Sevenoaks to be honest......
I know there is Starbucks or that type of place. No department stores I don't think - they usually have good sized coffee shops.

OleMama · 04/02/2006 13:33

Hi

Dont know the shops too well in Sevenoaks, but if there's a starbucks perhaps that would be a good place. A.M suits me better as my daughter normally has a sleep early p.m. Shall we say around 10 a.m. or mid-late p.m.??
