As promised.... here is the beginnings of our January Meet-up.

Choices are:

Glasgow
Edinburgh
Falkirk
Stirling
Perth

Perth is a bit far for me (no car), apart from that I'm not too bothered where it is.

DATE: SUNDAY 15th JANUARY 2006

Now we have some choices:

  1. With or without kids
  2. Meal or just coffees
  3. Is it an evening
  4. Is it an evening involving alchohol.

..Not that I'm trying to sway y'all towards a good swally!

Sign in folks.

. You should all come for your hols to the Norfolk Broads then we could meet up. The Scottish thread makes me feel and all at the same time.

sweetkitty · 24/11/2005 14:11

Thats the day after my due date!! So put me down as provisional will be able to attend if this one is as impatient as her sister and comes early.

Best for me would be Glasgow or Edinburgh and I will have to bring newborn along so afternoon would be better for me.

SackAche · 24/11/2005 16:41

Aw a wee newborn.

My usual reply, I'll have to see what my shifts are like as I've got a new job and don't know what ones I'll be on.

Anywhere for me although this is the day before my twins 2nd birthday so may be rushing about organising a party.

Don't mind either way kids going or not but may be easier for some if kids did come along.

I am with majority on meeting place etc

jambuttie · 26/11/2005 13:53

.

sammac · 26/11/2005 14:30

Oo me too please. Prefer Glasgow but open to offers!

seb1 · 26/11/2005 20:25

Prefer Glasgow - if I can go, depends on DH's shifts

diane77 · 26/11/2005 21:20

I would love to come along Will go with any of the below!

Prettybird · 29/11/2005 14:44

Am happy with any of the options. Glasgow is better for me (being a Weegie! ) but I can travel.

I'm currently free January 15th - although dh and I still have to organise a weekend away for ourselves sometime in January to use up some holiday I am carrying over, plus to "look after ourselves" after recent events.

starandsnowshaker · 29/11/2005 14:46

Prettybird · 29/11/2005 15:03

I'll vouch that everyone I've met so far at various meetups has been really nice: Sammac, Tooth/SackAche, Aimsmum, Starshaker, geegeesmum, tamum, ericblack, weesaidie..... and not a hairy trucker amongst them!

There were others at the couple of Edinburgh meet-ups that I wnet to, but I can't remember all their names (except for tamum).

All the kids were really nice too!

nailpolish · 29/11/2005 15:05

i really just want to cuddle sweetkittys newborn, not interested in meeting any of you lot really..

Prettybird · 29/11/2005 16:08

nailpolish · 29/11/2005 16:16

gomez · 29/11/2005 16:26

Me too! Can travel and am happy to do so. Will go with the flow on what we do. Kids/no kids/food/coffee/wine - I am very flexible.

Am also not a hairy trucker and 60 other MNs can confirm that from Saturday night. (Oh, and Toothache!)

Cheers

sweetkitty · 29/11/2005 16:31

I really hope I can make it!

SackAche · 29/11/2005 16:45

Gomez - Scottish one will be better than that London fiasco.

mutter mutter...not bitter or anything<
And Gomez is a hairy trucker! Don't let her kid you.

Starshaker - You left the last meet-up before I had a chance to say Good Bye! Please don't think I was blanking you.... I went to see ds whilst you were packing up and then you were gone.

mcmudda · 29/11/2005 17:00

Hi everyone

I've not been around for aaaaaaaaaages, but am dragging myself back into MNland - can I come too?

I'm halfway b/w Glasgow and Stirling. I know Glasgow better, but I'll drive (almost) anywhere

SackAche · 29/11/2005 17:01

McMudda - WELCOME BACK!!!! Where are you living now? ..... generally.... or what does the town name begin with and I'll guess.

OP posts:
mcmudda · 29/11/2005 17:03

Um - no town..am middle of nowhere really. But I do live on the bonnie banks - literally . Nearest school has 17 pupils so I'm an official bumpkin!
