Prettybird has confirmed too.

But has raised an issue about the Christmas Tree being up then. Does anyone have a problem with their kids running about the tree?

Gomez · 28/09/2005 10:38

Sorry but I am a fool and that is already a busy day for us. Two parties for DD1 to attend - neither of which are in Glasgow.

Have a nice time guys.

It might be worth ringing Princes Square to see when they start constructing it.

Aimsmum - you've got their number as you've rung them before haven't you? It could explain why they have no kiddies events planned for the next few months.

That would be great if you could call.

It might be a problem if it is in the process of being consrtucted, as from memory, that means that they partition off the entire mosaic area while they are doing it, whereas once it is done, there is just a wee picket fence around the tree.

I'll check with dh what he remembers about the time we were there when it was going up. If it's not taking up the whole area, then at least there is the added advantage that you can "see through" the structure before its "foliage" goes on.

weesaidie · 28/09/2005 12:56

I can come, obviously! Don't mind the tree, dd will probably be asleep anyway, and might end up leaving her at home.

Toothache · 28/09/2005 12:58

On her own weesaidie??

tabitha · 28/09/2005 21:09

I should be able to make it too. It will probably just be me and dd3.

weesaidie · 28/09/2005 21:12

Yup, she is a latch-key kid at 18 months... mwah ha ha ha ha... don't worry I'll leave her some biscuits and put some newspaper down.

Prettybird · 29/09/2005 12:34

Loobie - if you are coming in to Queen Street, then I am sure that Toothache would meet you and take you to Pricnes Square.

If you come in to Central, then I or Aimsmum would be able to meet you.

Princes Square is only a 5 minute walk form either station.

From Queen Street, it is a case of turn right out of the Station on to West Regent (? - or is it West George?) Street and then first left into Buchanan Street. Walk down Buchanan Street (corssing St Vincent St) until you see the Peacock (an enormous one on the top of a building on your left). That is Prince s Square. I think there are actaully also peacocks on the entrance corridors - but the entrances are clearly marked.

Go downstairs and Buzzy Wares is the diner beneath the wooden staircase.

From Central, it is a case of turn right out of Central into Gordon Street. Walk along Gordon Street until you get to Borders Bookshop (in pdestrain precinct). Turn right (into Buchanan Street) and Princes Square is about 100m on your left.

Toothache - ds is still going on about wanting to meet your ds again!

sweetkitty · 30/09/2005 10:30

My nieces (15 and 11) are coming to stay that weekend but still want to make it will leave them with DP and bring DD, sure she will have a ball with all the others.

I will be coming into Central Station so can meet anyone who is unsure where Princes Square is?

Toothache · 30/09/2005 11:45

Loobie - I'll meet you at Queen Street if you like?

PB - Yeah ds keeps asking after your ds by name.... and I sometimes have to stop and think who he is talking about!

SK - Why don't you bring them along? They can watch the kids.

I don't know what station I'll be arriving but I am pretty sure I can find Princes Sq. However I may change my mind about that nearer the time!

I'll def be there, and I'll bring dd, who's 11 and thinking about bringing ds, if big sis helps run around after him. Know Aimsmum and Prettybird from before, and look forward to meeting others!
