Do you think we can start up a new 'Liverpool Mums' thread? - if I remember right, the last one fizzled out! Hope to have a good laugh/moan soon!

ta Browny!!

ive founded a sleeping bag from TK Maxx last week but ill keep that in mind anyway

right.. who gonna give me directions to get there by train or bus as i dont know where Grandmas is??

BROWNY · 02/11/2005 15:02

Where will you be coming from?

OP posts:
jessysmummy · 02/11/2005 15:14

Thanks for CAT message, Browny. Would love to come but would feel really guilty going somewhere fun wothout Jessica - she's in nursery mon/tues. Might try and pop in (can you "pop-in" to Grandma's?) with Abigail just to put some faces to names. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to make it until about 2 (just in time for pudding???) as have roped myself into a La Leche group. Anyone else done one of these? Am I mad volunteering?
Anyway, let me know what the plans are. Ta!

BROWNY · 02/11/2005 17:14

Hi Jessysmummy, I understand about feeling guilty, but it would still be nice to meet you and Abigail, of course it's fine to say you're meeting someone in there - they'll know you're not trying to 'bunk in' as you'll have a tiny tot in a pram who wouldn't be able to play anyway!. P.s. don't worry not turning up until 2pm, I'll be there as my dh can collect others from school!! lol

OP posts:
Superblastofflips · 02/11/2005 21:37

im coming from Seaforth Browny

BROWNY · 03/11/2005 11:16

Seaforth?? Are you coming by bus or train? I think the bus might be better for you - Grandma's is on Hunts Cross Retail Park, which is not far from Speke Retail Park - haven't been much use have I[blush}? It might be an idea to phone Merseytravel, they'll know the easiest route for you! Gotta go, J is shouting for me - I'm rushing off to town now

OP posts:
BROWNY · 03/11/2005 11:17

Oh, by the way, Grandmas is right next door to Asda.

OP posts:
Superblastofflips · 03/11/2005 22:18

well i now know where Grandmas is but havent got a foggiest how to get there??

BROWNY · 04/11/2005 09:35

Hi again, couldn't Merseytravel help you out, they're usually very good at this sort of thing - I won't be able to come on today, as I've got a surprise party for my Dad tonight - so I'll be rushing around like a headless chicken all day!! Wish me luck!!

OP posts:
Superblastofflips · 04/11/2005 20:23

ill find out from merseytravel as hope its not a prob getting there

gud luck browny anyway for the party!

Nemo1977 · 06/11/2005 19:24

aww biglips thats a shame. I think I might leave it too been getting pains on and off all day from overdoing it i think. I also need to drop some stuff at edodgys hous ebefore it ends up getting painted..lol

biglips · 06/11/2005 19:25

oooohhhhh. make sure you take it easy as you havent got long now - eek! (as i remembered that type of pain - ouch!)

Nemo1977 · 06/11/2005 19:27

lol weird thing is i never got pains with adam but this time I have had these on and off for past 3 days. Am only 34wks so wayyy to early yet, am not expecting anything as adam was soo late.

biglips · 06/11/2005 19:30

well stay where you are now! - on msn of course and try not to do anything apart from typing

BROWNY · 07/11/2005 11:59

O.k, never mine - we'll do it again sometime. Dad's party went really well - you should have seen the look on his face - he was so shocked!!. It was all very emotional, as he hadn't seen his half sister for 42 years!!!.
Anyway, after all that organising, I don't know what to do with myself now - I feel a bit lost really, but Dad had a wonderful party and weekend, so it was all really worth the effort.

Hope you are coping alright Nemo, looks like the little one might come early eh?

OP posts:
jessyandabbysmummy · 08/11/2005 12:33

Browny - glad your dad's party went well and was worth the effort. I'm sure he really appreciated it. Did anyone make it to Grandma's? I had a bad night with Jessica so took the opportunity to catch up on sleep while Abigail was asleep. sorry. Hope anyone that went had a lovley time. Hope you managed to get ther ok superblastofflips.
Isn't the weather rotten today? Am trying to gear myself up to do some ironing but should really go back to bed as it was Abigail's turn to keep me up last night. She was wide awake and wanted to play at 4am!
Nemo - hope pains have calmed down - TAKE IT EASY. I know you don't want to go over due with this baby but I suspect that you weren't expecting it to arrive this early?!
...oh, by the way, in case you hadn't figured it out, I've had a name change - it's me - Jessysmummy!

mummytosteven · 08/11/2005 12:37

superblastofflips - you can get a train all the way from Seaforth and Litherland Merseyrail Station to Hunts Cross Station, from which it's only a ten minute walk to Granmas.

BROWNY · 08/11/2005 14:34

JAAM, poor you - it's horrible not getting enough sleep - I can remember the early weeks with J, I was so shattered - hope your girls settle down soon so you can relax a little. I've got my Dad and his sister (not the long lost one) coming for a lamb roast tonight, I can't seem to stop inviting people for tea! What's wrong with me lately??? lol

No-one went to Grandma's this week, maybe we can organise another meet-up in a few weeks time .

Joec, what have you been up to? Haven't been able to get on msn much lately, hope to catch up soon.

OP posts:
joec · 08/11/2005 18:48

hi browny.
glad the party went ok... hard work but worth it im sure.
didnt go to the meetup cos it is too far for me and eve is in nursery in the afternoons so really restricted by time etc.
hope everyone is ok

mazzystar · 08/11/2005 18:57

hallo

haven't been on mn for nearly a year, was always a skulker, never a poster, so hope you don't mind me saying hello

do you all really know each other really well already?

i live in waterloo, north liverpool, have 13 mo old son

and wasn't the weather vile today, am not used to being indoors with toddler!

Nemo1977 · 08/11/2005 19:00

hi all
just a quickie as i am currently trying to entertain adam so am blowing a whistle while he bangs a drum..multi skilled.[grin Went to consultant and have been given 15th dec at 7.30am as a induction date...could have picked from the 8th but we wanted a date when dh could then be off work for xmas and new year...woo hoo Also now have to have the glucose tolerance test a week on thurs which seems a bit stupid as i will be nearly 36 wks then..mmm then back to hospital on 22nd nov to see consultant then next time i am back there is to be induced/be in labour. Seems a bit scarey to have a proper date..lol They also still think baby is breech but no one seems particularly bothered by that so hey im not stressing either.

hope everyone is ok????????? My dh is currently glossing downstairs hence me being in adams bedroom half on laptop half blowing a whistle..lol

BROWNY · 09/11/2005 19:09
