Do you think we can start up a new 'Liverpool Mums' thread? - if I remember right, the last one fizzled out! Hope to have a good laugh/moan soon!

we have a sofa in the back room that sounds just like your table. is currently covered in washing to go in the machine and various toys, bags from school full of who knows what . will tidy it up today and by tonight will be back to normal.
have resigned myself to the fact that my house is always going to be untidy !!!!!!!!

joec · 20/09/2005 11:17

isnt it easier to just put a blanket round him while he is in the pram ?
you can buy really nice fleece ones in all sorts of colours

BROWNY · 20/09/2005 11:21

Joec, I agree with you there, but when I apologise for the state of the house when people come, they all say, "Well you have got four kids", I think it's there way to cover my embarassment!!

I've tried the fleece blanket with him in the pram, I've even sewed ties on so I can attach it to the buggy, but he kicks it off or gets it wrapped around his legs, which gets him upset!!

A.Q. said that she made one for her little-one, and she'll send it to me - isn't she lovely!

BROWNY · 20/09/2005 11:22

Sorry for spelling - "their"

joec · 20/09/2005 11:25

must admit owen wont wear a hat so have just bought him a coat with a nice fleece lined hood and he seems happy wearing that.
have got a cosy toes with buggy but same as you his legs are too long for it now, will try him with a blanket and see how he goes

joec · 20/09/2005 11:26

have you met up with anyone else from mn?

BROWNY · 20/09/2005 11:30

Yes, I've met Fastasleep - she's about 30 weeks pregnant with her second baby now - she's found out she's having a girl, and named her Sophia! Ahh!! I've met Nemo1977 once, she's expecting too - I met them both at the Mums & Toddler group that I sometimes go to in Allerton!

OP posts:
biglips · 20/09/2005 17:51

ive met nemo once, mummyofsteven and another one who i cant remember who it is!!

edodgy · 20/09/2005 18:09

Hiya everyone, I see Nemo on a regular basis and have also met mummytosteven once ages ago. Would like to meet everyone else at some point too.
I had my 30 week scan today and the baby's kidneys are fine everything is normal. He weighs around 3Ib 7 already! He's also engaged and back to back like Eve was so chances are i'll have another marathon labour but the bonus was cos he's face up in my pelvis we got a brilliant scan photo of his face and he looks just like Eve! I hope everyone else has had a good day.

BROWNY · 20/09/2005 18:37

Hi Edodgy,

Brilliant news about your little boy - I think you might have a 9 pounder on your hands there!. I've been to the Pub in the Park, in Allerton this afternoon with the kids - I met my friend and her little boy there, so while they played we had a drink (j2O!!) and decided to have our tea out - well it was two meals for £10 - and very nice it was too - so no cooking for me tonight - YAY!! just about to take my two girls to Brownies, so it will be a little bit quieter here until 8pm!

Very happy for you!

OP posts:
biglips · 20/09/2005 18:48

sounds like poss a 9lb ner baba as it sounds big already as same as mine was too and i had a 9lb 1oz now she is 1 on 1st oct and already 26lbs!! BIG girl! (and my poor crippling back!!)

is it gonna be a Xmas baba if im right??

Browny - yeah it is in Waterloo as it just 10 mins walking away from me but i know they havent got any near Allerton. i know alot of BSL signs as im doing level 2 atm so will be teaching my baba how to do it but i went last week to see how they do it and i could poss become a teacher as it was sooo easy peasy as all singing!

BROWNY · 20/09/2005 18:59

Biglips, brilliant news that you've enquired to be a teacher - Tiny Talk e-mailed me a while ago asking me to set up lessons in Allerton - I need to learn it first!!!

Nemo1977 said that she's got a sign language book that I can have, so I'm looking forward to receiving that! It'd be lovely to learn more signs, but I don't drive and there's nowhere local.

OP posts:
biglips · 20/09/2005 19:16

jessysmummy · 22/09/2005 09:52

Hello there!
Don't think I've "spoken" to any of you ladies before, except Nemo who has been on a couple of meet up threads that I've posted on. Do you mind if I join you?
I'm in Whiston. Have DD 20 mths and awaiting birth of #2 (due on 24th Sept). Currently on maternity leave though in quarantine with DD who has gastrobug at the moment.
I won't commit myself to any meetups just yet, if that's ok as I'm hoping new baby will arrive VERY shortly but would love to meet up once I've got myself sorted out. How do you mums cope with 4? I'm nervous at the prospect of having just the 2!

joec · 22/09/2005 10:45

hi jessysmummy,
glad you could join us.
about having 4.. its hard but you just get on with it !!!!!!
well you have to ..think both browny and i have given up on having a really tidy house !!!!!
how are you feeling.. remember the last few weeks well..

jessysmummy · 22/09/2005 11:21

Thanks for the welcome joec!
Not feeling too bad - just a bit stir crazy! It's the waiting that gets to me. Also difficult to run around after DD when heavily pregnant so constantly tired. Not long to go now (hopefully) though DD was 13 days late!

BROWNY · 22/09/2005 11:58

Hi, Jessysmummy, welcome to the Liverpool lot!! Hope you don't have too long to wait now, I've got a 16 month old little boy, and he was ten days overdue - I can remember the waiting well - all those people ringing to ask if I'd had it yet!!! Wishing you lots of luck for the birth and hope to see you when little one has arrived!

OP posts:
BROWNY · 22/09/2005 12:04

Nemo, sounds like you're nesting like mad - slow down and put your feet up! It's so exciting getting the nursery ready though, isn't it? I remember painting dd1 room when 38 weeks pregnant, I couldn't wait to finish it - I had emergency section the following week though due to pre-eclampsia - so take good care of yourself!!.

Biglips, do you think you'll start teaching sign lanuage? All the mums in our local group are really keen to learn, but there's no classes near to us

OP posts:
joec · 23/09/2005 12:49

hi,,
where has everyone gone..

fastasleep · 23/09/2005 12:58

Ello! I'd like to get out and about and meet up with people again... but my back's really playing up at the moment and I'm stuck indoors! I can't manage lugging the pram and DS onto the bus, last time I tried it was all very embarrassing lol...

Anyway I'm 36 weeks now!! Hopefully my back'll fix itself, if not I'll be out and about pretty much straight away after the birth I should think...

Edodgy, I had the kidney problem scans too, mine rectified itself as well, I think consultants are just there to worry us sometimes...

Nice to see you around Browny! Glad you're all doing ok

BROWNY · 23/09/2005 19:20

Hi everyone, and welcome back Fastasleep!! I can't believe you've only got four weeks to go - isn't it exciting!!.

It's been mad in our house as usual, I've got to keep up with Self Defence lessons, brownies, drama club etc, I don't know if I'm coming or going!!

Joec - I couldn't open your e-mail, as I haven't got powerpoint - what did I miss? Hope to catch up more in a day or two!!

Have a good weekend!

OP posts:
joec · 26/09/2005 11:19
