Just out of interest, as I've only recently got into this site.

Was wondering who was local to me.

tell us some more about yourself? I have a 3 yr old daughter (DD) who goes to nursery and loves Winnie the Pooh and Dora the Explorer, an ancient husband (DH) and even older dalmatian dog. I work part-time as a chemical engineer and live in a small place near Doncaster. I like curry.

SleepySuzy · 23/08/2005 20:55

We are from... dare I say ... Bradford, yuk. I have a 19 month old dd who is Noddy obsessed, and loves anything with music. I work in Personnel for a bank (boring), and dp has just gone back to work after around a year off (he's just recovered from cancer treatment).

Bradford - its Ok! I once went out with a lad from Wilsden and he showed me the delights of Bradford's curry houses.

gingerbear · 23/08/2005 21:00

Is your DH fully recovered? Must have been an awful time for you all.

Magscat · 23/08/2005 21:01

SleepySuzy -I'm in Bradford too. Don't take offence but I'm not particularly into Meet Ups. I am friendly really just don't have time for the friends I already have & at the moment just too knackered to get out anywhere.

I have a 4 yr old boy & my little girl will be 8 months next week.

Did you have you baby in BRI ? What was your experience ?

PS - welcome to MN !

munz · 23/08/2005 21:06

Hulababy · 23/08/2005 21:07

I'm in South Yorkshire, not West - but have been to meets is W Yorks if that counts

I'm in Sheffield, have a 3yo DD and married to DH, a solicitor. I was a secondary school teacher until Easter and now work as a Learning & Skills Advisor at a local prison. We are due to move house in thenext couple of months. DD is a little chatterbox who loves pretty much everything!

Hulababy · 23/08/2005 21:07

I'm near Morley too. Have 1 dd aged 4 (starting school in september). I have family (ILs) in bradford.

SleepySuzy · 23/08/2005 21:13

Wow munz! You can! I have lived in BD7 since December.

Gingerbear - yeah the curries are the best (and possibly only good) thing about Bradford. And Hopefully, yes he is fully recovered. He takes some convincing now, as it is second time around, but doing well, thanks.

Magscat - no worries. I was asking more out of interest really. Yes I had her in BRI, had a caesarian as she was breech. They couldn't have been more helpful. One midwife in particular but I can't remember her name.

Hulababy - Sheffield is good - still Yorks after all! I have worked with a lot of Sheffield folk when I was a learning disabilities nurse, and my very close friend went to Uni there.

MumOnaMission - Nice to meet ya.

Hi Yorkie girl, nice to meet you too.

Know Morley just a little - I went to pick up a buggy from there once from Ebay!

MumOnaMission · 23/08/2005 21:20

SleepySuzy · 23/08/2005 21:22

Well, I was very scared, but it was worth it!

Hi Sleepysuzy and all Yorkshire mummies. Read about your DD liking Noddy. I have just bought a massive Noddy from Woolworths (plays that rather catchy tune! It was reduced from £29.99 to £11! My DD1 is 3.5 yrs and has asked that santa bring her this! I couldn't resist that sort of bargain - hopefully she wont have gone off him by Christmas! I am from West Yorks - North of Leeds.
