Hey!

Starting Keto from tomorrow. Wedding is in 7 months! I lost a bit of weight before Xmas, but in these last two weeks it's piled back on quite drastically :/ saw a photo of myself today and I looked like a balloon!

My cousin started keto in May 2023 and has lost over 2 stone. From 11st 4 to 9st! This gave me the kick up the butt to do this. I'm not only doing this for my wedding, as I genuinely want to feel slimmer but it'll be a bonus if I can lose a stone or 2 to fit nicely into my wedding dress. Currently - 12st 13lb (might as well call it 13st) mummy of two boys (3 and 2) so tough to lose baby weight!

I'm so new to it though and trying to educate myself on what I must do. I'm trying not to put too much pressure on myself though or fixate on numbers because that tends to freak me out and I give up.

Would love to meet anyone else on here who is thinking to do the same this year.

Went on another run this morning was great!

Great did you do your classes today? Your weekend sounds nice let us know what you chose to eat!

Weekend is taking little one to football, food shop and having a day in playing with little one/family time.

Sunday we may go for a long walk
Depending on weather. May try to get a run in Sunday morning too.

@lukiebebe Well done! What week are you on? I tried to start it again a few weeks ago but its too hilly here 😂

Haven't done my classes yet today, I'm going this afternoon.

So far today I've had eggs, bacon, 1/2 avocado and a bit of cheese, and I just had a few peanuts. Dinner will be tapa de magra on sliced, fried courgette.

Tomorrow will be a youtube fightklub session with my friend, salad for lunch and lamb balti butchers sausages (delicious) with brocolli and another veg, whatever I can find in the freezer and sunday will be a lazy sofa day of rest I think, with bolognaise on sliced leek again for dinner.

Oh yes I had such a long morning with work I didn't realise it was only 12:30! Long day today my heads throbbing!

I had to google tapa de Magra- looks yum! Thanks for the inspo!

Today for lunch I had boiled eggs and some cheese a handful of almonds and blueberries (tends to be my got to lunch as I prep it in containers)

For dinner I made chicken meatballs and baked them with courgettes onions and cauliflower. Was yummy.

I'm on week 5! Today I tried to run past 5 mins straight and nearly collapsed haha but the other day I ran 16 mins straight no issues lol. I'm clearly exhausted by the end of the week!

Oh yes I imagine the hills make it super hard! We only have one hilly bit where I run and that's when I feel like I'm going to topple over haha. The downhill bits the best!

Banging head ache today after delivering a staff training! Think I'm going to down lots of water and take myself up to bed!

Sounds like you have a great weekend planned!

Just did a click and collect shop online so ordered a load of meat... might make a creamy mushroom and chicken dinner this weekend!

Ooh wk5 is hard, but its amazing once you've done it. Those meatballs sound delicious. Did you have a good weekend?

I didn't get out for any exercise, I had rest days laid on the sofa watching TV I ate on plan, except for saturday, I needed somethign sweet so had a greek yoghurt and a small tin of fruit cocktail, I've got some little tins like the little tins of beans in the cupboard. I refused to go to the shop so that was all I had in, I drained off all the syrup though. Then yesterday I had nothing I shouldn't have at all.

BG this morning was 9.7 and weight 14st 4lb 0oz.

Plans for this week are

7.30am gym class Mon-Thurs
4.30pm class then 5.30 one on Friday
Eggs and avocado for breakfast at 12
Bolognaise on leeketti tonight, then chops, h/m burgers, h/m chicken nuggets this week, not sure what else yet.

Hope everyone else is getting on ok, even if you aren't back on it, you should come back and post and we'll help you get back to it. I know its hard though.

BG this am was 9.6, weight was 14st 3lb 6oz.

Yesterday I had an omelette with avocado, some peanuts, then wasn't really hungry for dinner so had a greek yoghurt wih peanut butter, chia seeds and almonds in it. Did spin in the morning and just done bodypump today.

I jinxed myself 😢 I broke my toe on Saturday so haven't been able to do any running! I'm so upset because I finally got back into the swing of it!!!

I'm still okay food wise! I did eat a mini packet of choc fingers this morning though as I felt sorry for myself 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

9.1 and 14st 3lb 6oz yesterday,
9.3 and 14st 4lb 8oz this morning.

Yesterday I had
2 small skinless sausages, 2 rashers of streaky bacon, a fried egg, mushrooms.
a few sunflower seeds.
a little bit of pork scratching and coleslaw and a bite of cheese.
10 almonds.
a pack of seaweed thins.
pork chop and salad with a little avocado & bit of feta and coleslaw.

So very snacky. It felt like I didn't stop eating but everything except breakfast & dinner with little mouthfuls really. I did do spin though and bodypump this morning.

So far today I had cheese, mushroom & bacon omelette & avocado, 10 almonds, and a tiny piece of cheese. Have a load of salad left over so planing what to have for dinner, i might go out and get some olives and have greek salad, and maybe mackerel with it.

Your breakfast sounded yummy!

Today for dinner I highly recommend-

Seasoned two chicken breast with paprika, garlic powder, salt pepper and herbs. Place in baking tray

I scooped a whole tub of Philadelphia garlic and herb in the tray with cherry tomatoes and mushrooms popped it in the oven

Then made me own cheese sauce to spread over steam cauliflower and popped that in over too.

When chicken was cooked I dolloped all that Philadelphia and tomato goodness on top and served with cauliflower cheese. Omg was amazing and so easy!!!

I'm looking for something to do with boneless chicken thighs tonight. I wws fancying southern fried chicken but that's a bit hard without flour.

Considering getting up and going swimming today, but I can't remember what I've done with my costume atm.

I didn't go swimming, I did sod all, all weekend, a bit of cleaning and sat on the sofa watching tv. But, I've booked a session for next Saturday at 9am. so this week will be

M - spin
Tu - bodypump
W - spin
Th - bodypump
Fri - latin dance then bodypump
Sa - Swim
And sunday will be a day of rest 😂

Breakfasts will be eggs, and dinners will be meat & veg or salad.

BG was 8.3 and weight was 14st 2lb 2oz this morning.

BG 7.3 and weight 14st 1lb 0oz this morning, when I got up for a wee before I actually got up, I got 14st 0lb 2oz but it had increased when I got up properly. So, all going in the right direction nicely.

I've been having various combinations of eggs, bacon, avocado, mushrooms, cheese for breakfast and homemade burgers, cheese, gherkins, mayo, mustard for dinner the last couple of days as I made a batch of burgers at the start of the week.

The burgers are just mince, fine chopped mushrooms, onion, garlic, and herbs/spices.

Afternoon snacks have been sunflower seeds, seaweed thins, porch crunch.

This weekend will be much of the same, I don't mind a samey diet for a while if it give results.

So, this morning I got under 7mmol! My reading was 6.5 👏

Yesterday I got another weight reading of 14st 0lb 2oz but this morning was back to 14st 1lb 0oz. Hoping to break into the 13's this week.

Plans for this week are the same as last week, morning gym class each day M-TH, 2 on friday afternoon, swimming on saturday and day off on sunday.

Meals will be egg, bacon, avocado, for breakfast and dinners will be homemade burgers, nuggets, pork belly, chicken skewers, pork chops.

@Gobolina hello sorry I have been MIA! You are absolutely smashing it well done you must be super exciting seeing the next stone down on the scales ! Congrats! You're such an inspiration !

I've fallen off the wagon since breaking my toe! Desperate need to get back on it again! I am 4 days late of period too (haven't taken a test as promised fiancé I'd wait til Friday just incase it's just cycle thrown off) so im a bit all over the place !!!

Can see you're still going gym awesome! What's your best class? Well done you! Does your body feel any different since incorporating lots of exercise ? How's your energy levels? Mood etc?

Thank you, I'm just plodding along, its probably a bit easier to stick to as I know I have to stick to it, its not a diet, I have to do this forever to keep my BG in order.

I'm not getting used to no sweetener in my tea, I'm still doing that and I started that quite a while ago but I don't think I'll ever get used to that 😂

The weight loss is slow but going in the right direction which is a win post-meno.

My favourite class is the dance surprisingly, its not technical, its more cardio but its the most fun one. I do feel much better for going, and I don't feel as heavy and flabby. My energy is great, but I'm having to get up at 6.30, and I've started going to sleep a little bit earlier and I sleep like the dead until the morning. I feel like I'm shrinking slightly, I can see it on my stomach but its not reflected as much on the scales.

You can get back to it, just make a meal plan. And fingers crossed for tomorrow!

I'm still on plan, haven't broken yet, although I'm really struggling with wanting a pastry or chocolate for breakfast on my way home from the gym in the mornings. Luckily there's only one shop open before 9 (and its near my house 🙄), and I start work at 9 so can't stop off at a supermarket etc. I just have to have willpower to stay away from that one shop 😂
