Hi

Just wondering if anyone is doing or has done exante and how much they lost in their first week and how much I should expect to lose after that?

I am currently at my highest weight ever of 14st 7 and was shocked when I stepped on the scale yesterday.. I never usually go over 13st 11 even if I am totally eating what I want.

I have done slimming world before and lost a stone but now have put All back on plus more!

I decided to take the plunge and start exante today as I am going away in March and I absolutely cannot go like this.

I bought the 4 week plan and today had cookies and cream shake for Breakfast- I found this awful and too creamy and made me feel sick. Shepherds pie for lunch- better than the shake but not great. Double chocolate bar around 5 pm I really liked this. And a 200 cal meal from the approved list for dinner.

I know it’s day one and probably Expected but I feel very weak, tired and can’t really concentrate on anything I’ve been drinking shit loads of water but my mouth is bloody dry not to mention I have FOUL wind !!.

Slimming world is quite easy for me to follow but it’s a slow loss and I won’t see the results I want before my holiday. I don’t want to lose more than 3 stone as I would like to keep my curves. I would like to lose 2 of these before I go away on 19th March.. is this possible ?

I have a few birthdays coming up a month so I will have a off plan day for that.

Does this get easier ? As I am struggling right now !

Star amazing Star @straighthairdontcare!

Lucy2999 · 22/01/2020 08:12

Hope everyone is doing well! Well done on your losses today was my 2nd week weigh in and I have lost 3lbs. That’s a total of 9lbs in two weeks I’m happy with that as have never been on a diet and lost so much so quick.. would have taken me nearly a month to lose that on slimming world

Great work @Lucy2999! 9lb in 2 weeks is insane! Star

Today was Week 1 weigh in for me and I’m a bit disappointed - 3.75 lb /1.7 kg.

I was expecting a bit more to motivate me - it’s my TOTM so maybe that’s got in the way? I had already been doing 16:8 so less water weight to lose? 🤷🏽‍♀️ DH is down 2.3kg!

1 week down, 4 to go!

Hope everyone else is getting on ok?

straighthairdontcare · 22/01/2020 10:39

I'm losing it a bit this week, mostly sticking to it but bread snuck in a bit yesterday - late night at work yesterday.

@SunshineAllTheWhile probably not much water if you have been doing a different diet. That's still good though!

@lucy2999 9lbs is amazing. I hope I can get that this week - MUST NOT EAT BREAD!!

I need to drink more water - didn't have much yesterday and felt the difference.

catmadcaz · 23/01/2020 08:02

Hi everyone
Great losses going on. I am still on it and am having a 200 cal meal everyday. As since returning to work I really need to eat as am getting too hungry. Had one day of constipation but bought a pack of physillium powder from Holland and Barrett and that has done the trick. It is really foul in water but added to the shakes it is undetectable.
Haven't weighed for week 2 yet it should be on Sunday but may do it on Sat. At work people are starting to see the weight loss so its spurring me on. The only thing is I don't want to be the sales person for Exante, as everyone keeps asking me to explain the plan and get them packs... I suppose I don't like keep talking about it and discussing it and explaining myself all the time.

How are we all doing as we head into another weekend? (feels like the 7th weekend in January 😭)

Question for you: is everyone in ketosis? I’m halfway through Day 9, lost nearly 5lb but definitely not in ketosis according to the ketostix I’m using. I’m tracking calories and macros and calories are fine but the carb content seems too high to reach ketosis?

What am I missing? Sad

Hangryfastjo · 25/01/2020 09:41

Can I join this thread please.
I put an order in for 3 weeks worth of three shakes a day yesterday and will start next week. Am I right in thinking I can also have 200 more calories on top of this?

You have had some fab weight losses. Well done

Lucy2999 · 25/01/2020 10:39

Hi everyone

Hope everyone is doing okay.. I’m in my 3rd week now still hanging on in there Haven’t came off plan once really starting to dread weekends though never thought I’d say that as I’d usually have some wine or eat out and can’t at the moment soo I find them the hardest.

Went to the cinema last weekend and my friends had nachos popcorn etc I had my bar and a litre of water 😫😫 dedication !

@hangryfastjo welcome! Yes you can have the 200 calorie meal on top of that but it must be from their approved foods list they sent me out a booklet via email with a list.

I ordered the 4 week box so I had a mixture of shakes bars and hot meals I didn’t get to chose most of it was okay apart from the Indian style curry. I’m coming to the end of the box now so will need more.

There was more shakes in the box than anything else so some days I have to have 3 shakes a day I tend to do this when at home not at work as I do get hungry when I don’t have a bar or a hot meal .. however some people only can stomach the shakes and just do shakes only like you. Good luck !

@SunshineAllTheWhile yes I thought carbs were too high for ketosis but apparently you can get into ketosis by fasting and 800 cal would constitute fasting. (According to the ever reliable t'interweb!) maybe it takes longer? I don't think I am either going to check tomorrow morning again.

straighthairdontcare · 25/01/2020 21:11

Hi @hangryfastjo! Welcome!

straighthairdontcare · 25/01/2020 21:12

@lucy2999 - I find my treat is a Diet Coke nowadays!! It is frustrating isn't it but hopefully will break my bad habits!

straighthairdontcare · 25/01/2020 21:13

@catmadcaz did you weigh in? It's promising that people are noticing now!

straighthairdontcare · 26/01/2020 08:57

Apparently I have moderate ketones according to the strips. I don't know what that means to be fair.

Lucy2999 · 26/01/2020 11:42

@straighthairdontcare mine is Coke Zero only have one a day though when usually i could have
Up to 4.

I have a few things coming up in February that means I’ll have to go off plan.. Kinda worried how this will effect my loss that week but I’ll try to not over do it

SunshineAllTheWhile · 26/01/2020 13:45

@straighthairdontcare That’s really helpful thank you! Funnily enough today was the first day there was a little bit of a change on the strip... 🤞🏾

Hope everyone is doing ok over the weekend - roll on Weigh In Wednesday (end of week 2)

Hangryfastjo · 26/01/2020 16:15

Thanks for the welcome. I wish I was starting tomorrow, but my shakes haven’t arrived and we are going away for a night on Thursday, so it makes sense to start on Saturday . I’ll have two days under my belt before work then as well.

straighthairdontcare · 27/01/2020 08:09

Over 3lbs off this week. Which is not bad considering mon tue and wed I didn't stick to it . That's 10lbs in two weeks.

Hangryfastjo · 31/01/2020 16:45

Hello everyone, how are you all doing?
I’ve been away for my night now and am ready to start this tomorrow.
Any more weight losses?

MonsieurChaCha · 31/01/2020 20:23

Ooh, can I join? I need some motivation.

I'm on day three and I've lost four pounds although I know I shouldn't check daily.

I was chatting to someone at work that is also on it and she advised me to make some additions to the meal replacements to make them taste better. I had literally not even thought about it so tonight I've had bare naked rice cooked in the Thai chicken soup, topped with mushrooms fried in frylight and spring onions. I am stuffed and it was really not bad at all.

Well done on all your losses, it's very motivating to hear them!

Lucy2999 · 31/01/2020 23:17

Hi hope everyone is doing well.. I had my 3rd week weigh in today and I have lost another 3lbs .. I am 1lb off a stone. Really pleased with that in 3 weeks.. started at 14.8 heaviest I’ve ever been in my life and now I am 13.8.. really want to get into the 12s before I go away on the 19th March..

Good luck to all the ppl just starting xx

MonsieurChaCha · 01/02/2020 10:18

Well done!
Does anyone else use slender sip? I think it's reducing my hunger but I'm getting a bit sick of the taste now

SummersMahoosiveClipOnFringe · 06/02/2020 23:34

Hello- anyone still about?
I have ordered the 4 week pack plus extra water enhancer plus the free pack thing-pack of 5 shakes. I have some soups and other meals left over since before Christmas to tide me over.

I am planning on doing 4 packs a day for the first week to ease myself in and then look at replacing one a day with the rec 200 cal meal option.

I have done it before and am looking forward to getting cracking as I don't want to be this puffy by the time summer comes. I never weigh myself but goby clothes. Current size 16 are getting tight so looking to get comfortably into a size 12 by the summer- which probably equates to 3 stone.

MonsieurChaCha · 07/02/2020 07:21

I'm still here!
The first week is definitely the hardest but I seem to have lost my appetite and am forcing myself to eat all four meals. I hit half a stone this morning!!!
Are the squash things any good? I'm struggling to drink enough

SummersMahoosiveClipOnFringe · 07/02/2020 08:08

Squash things are sooo worth it and make drinking enough a doddle..

Well done you :)
