I lost all my excess weight two years LCHFing. It's crept back on over the past year as ive reaching for the frackers, been, eating the kids chips etc. Carb creep and not tracking...means I'm 15lbs over where I like to be ☹️

So, I need to reboot.

I've started tracking today. My aim is to have less than thirty grams carbs a day...

I am armed with double cream, babybel and dark chocolate.

Anyone want to join me?

Im impressed with all the cooking and recipes. I just fry everything in butter and add cream. That's my main cooking tip!

I second the soda stream idea, although the gas refills are £££ these days. You can get big bottles of fizzy water for 17p in Tesco and add sugar free squash.

Day 13 ✅ 48g carbs today as DH had chips and I couldn't resist a couple!

Back to being strict tomorrow.

Thanks for sharing the chipolata receipt Banging

A stone in 4 weeks is incredible. What's else have you been eating?

Interested in your golden syrup shake.

Butterfly I’m really impressed that you’re doing LC as a veggie. I did make a really nice paneer curry the other day with ground almonds but you’re probably sick of cheese by now!

Living well done! I used to hate plain water but it’s amazing how quickly your tastebuds adapt

Destinys they sounds fab, I’m so impressed with the Keto dessert recipes online. I made sugar free vanilla Panna Cottas the other day and they were amazing.

50 frying and cream sounds like a good way to approach things Grin

Destinysdaughter · 11/04/2018 22:50

I think you can get cheaper refills from places like Argos if you take your canister back?

BangingOn · 11/04/2018 22:56

Sorry 50, cross posted there. This is the shake: www.myprotein.com/sports-nutrition/impact-whey-protein/10530943.html they have loads of flavours and you can buy smaller trial sachets before committing to big bags. I started making them with unsweetened soya milk but now I make them with water, which makes them more portable, or add a splash of cream if I’m at home. They are good for when you don’t want to eat but know you should have something. If you’re tempted to order then hang on for a discount code as they have them regularly.

I’ve had a few nice meals this week- bolognaise served over spiralised courgette cooked in garlic butter with a teaspoon of pesto and some pine nuts, tuna steaks cooked with lemongrass and ginger with pak choi, roast duck with beansprouts and cauliflower rice. I am loving this way of eating!

My weight loss has slowed the last week but I’m ok with that, I usually get a fast start and then a more sustainable pace. I’m trying to focus on how my clothes fit rather than just a number on the scales but it’s hard.

I'm late to the party as usual , but would love to join in as of Monday.
I've had a crap couple of years and also gave up smoking and have piled 31/2stone on. All on my stomach.

Threeminis · 12/04/2018 00:14

Thanks 50

I hope nobody minds, but I'm going to start posting what I'm eating.. it's easier for me to stay on track

B - natural yogurt
L - salad with chicken and mayo
D - cheese omelette

Snack - chopped peppers with cottage cheese

I have really trained myself to drink water, I have a huge water bottle that goes everywhere with me.
Once I've finished that I know I'm good. (I've attached a picture, it really is huge!)

Back on low carb, anyone want to join me?

Welcome unicorn and Three I love seeing other people’s menus.

Destinysdaughter · 12/04/2018 07:59

Yesterday I had bacon, mushrooms and garlic, fried and added cream and Parmesan to make a lovely sauce. Had it with steamed cauliflower and broccoli, was yum! 😀

Livinglifepeachy · 12/04/2018 17:17

Ive been bad!! I had 1 scoop of bubblegum ice cream at bru just couldn't stop myself the guilt is killing me 😞😞

BangingOn · 12/04/2018 17:43

Don’t beat yourself up! Drink loads of water and keep your carbs as low as possible for the next few days. Remember, going a tiny bit off piste isn’t the end of the world, the important thing is not to let that throw you off course entirely and eat more carbs because you’ve already had ice cream.

50andgoingstrong · 12/04/2018 18:34

Dont worry Living just a slip up! I cracked and had chips yesterday. Back into it today though.

Day 14 ✅ 28g carbs

Had an epic lunch. Spiralised courgette, cream, butter chicken and cheese with chives. Raspberries and cream.

Not hungry for dinner at all!

Weigh in day for me tomorrow. Anyone else?

three that's a bottle!

I really like it when people post meals. Sharing new ideas is so helpful. One of the things that happened last time was I eventually got bored eating the same things. Good to mix it up a bit.

Ooh BangingOn Paneer curry sounds good! The rest of the family would eat that too which is good as I'm currently making at least 2 different meals most evenings!

Dinner was Quorn Bolognese and lunch was 2 boiled eggs which was followed by raspberries and cream - great minds and all that 50 Grin

Felt quite woozy today but I know this will pass in a few days and am looking forward to the end of the carb cravings!

Livinglifepeachy · 12/04/2018 21:29

Thanks guys for the support I am so glad this thread exists thanks op for creating this thread. Made beef meat balls with cream and onions and tomato paste. Not going to give up.

I haven't weighed myself since day 4 I will wait a few weeks x we'll done 50!!! 😍

BangingOn · 12/04/2018 21:38

Butterfly Just double check the carb count as some paneer is more carby than others. I think if I were doing this without meat I’d be living off paneer, mozzarella, halloumi, aubergine and portobello mushrooms. Which is quite a nice idea Grin

Today I had a protein shake for breakfast, made with cream and water. Lunch was some Serano ham and salad leaves as I wasn’t that hungry. I’ve made up for it this evening with saag paneer and slow cooked lamb.

AnnaT45 · 12/04/2018 22:47

Peachy we all have those moments. You can't be on it 24/7! I had loads of cocktails Friday night and am out this Saturday too. I barely ever go out as have young kids so feel like I'm a 23 year old again

I also love hearing the recipes. I've been boring today. Fry up and then prawn cocktail wrapped in lettuce and some dairy lea. Need to up my veg intake.

Livinglifepeachy · 13/04/2018 11:38

I've switched up breakfast today with two avocado's and a spoonful of mascarpone it could taste like ice cream if I froze it a little bit so nice and creamy
Bless you Anna! Enjoy the partying. I used to go twice a week and drink only coke and dance like crazy and lost so much weight however was just reducing the amount I ate this was back in 2012 and I lost a heap load went from a size 12 to nearly a 6!
Thanks a lot for the support!!

Threeminis · 13/04/2018 13:44

Ended up not posting last night,
Had my niece here and all the dc and I watched a film.. then I ended up with dc2 (who is 5 years younger than the other two) in my bed.

Was pretty good food wise yesterday apart from lunch..

B - natural yog with cinnamon
L - (not so great - Costco) chicken burger thing with lettuce and cheese - no bun
D - steak with haloumi and Cesar salad

Today (breakfast and lunch combined)I have had poached eggs with fried baby sweet corn and asparagus

Threeminis · 13/04/2018 13:47

Peachy loads of water and keep going. Don't beat yourself up, if you're anything like me it's a downwards spiral.
"Oh well I've fucked up so I may as well gorge on a massive family sharing bag of crisps" it doesn't work Thanks

50andgoingstrong · 13/04/2018 15:22

Waaah!! Big weigh in and I've lost.... nothing! Scales are showing exactly the same as last week. Slightly disappointing.

I feel thinner though.

4lbs down in two weeks so keeeep going....

OP posts:
Livinglifepeachy · 13/04/2018 16:33

Could be you are putting on muscle mass so even though you are loosing weight the scale doesn't catch the conversion. It's better to get a body fat measurement device

50andgoingstrong · 13/04/2018 17:31

Possibly. Oh well, I'll get a loss next week.

Day 15✅ 50g net. Out for pub lunch today. Did my best with what was on offer. Chicken bacon salad with avocado. ... Walked 6 miles though.
