I lost all my excess weight two years LCHFing. It's crept back on over the past year as ive reaching for the frackers, been, eating the kids chips etc. Carb creep and not tracking...means I'm 15lbs over where I like to be ☹️

So, I need to reboot.

I've started tracking today. My aim is to have less than thirty grams carbs a day...

I am armed with double cream, babybel and dark chocolate.

Anyone want to join me?

I think you're right on the salt I drink a lot of water so will up my salt. Off for another client lunch today ... hoping it'll be easy again!

Plucked up the courage to weigh myself this morning after holiday. Four lbs on, which isn't too bad! Hoping I'll get it off with a few weeks of being back on track.

How's everyone else doing?

Lunch update ... I had steak ... asked for veg instead of chips-second day running! Don't even recognise myself any more Grin I then resisted the desert they all had and the chocolates that came with the coffee. Feeling very proud!

Sometimes I make a list of stuff I said no to. Todays: skittles, an ice cream, a biscuit. If you add it up you can see how many carbs you Declined. It's quite satisfying! 🙂

50 great idea on the almonds, I’ve added some to my Ocado shop. Babybel might get a bit sweaty in my suitcase but will be good for the flight.

I have accepted that I will probably maintain over the next two weeks with back to back conference holiday. I’ve read up on Bootcamp and will go for it when I get back to try and get to the next stone mark.

10 days til my holiday. I'm packing almonds, tuna and teabags! Luckily we are self catering so I can stay relatively low carb although I will have an ice cream every day!!!

Tried on swimwear today. Ok so I'll never be 21 again but... Looking much better 🙂

Did fast. Managed 15.5hrs as I needed to eat before school run and weekly shop!

Weigh in: another 1lb down.

Total loss 10lb🙂
Another 5lb to go. I'm setting a target of 20th July.

Hi 50, you're doing really well.
I'm on Bc, it's a busy thread so takes a lot of time to catch up with.
Some great losses, I'm slower because I'm on it a while but I'm getting to be a fan of this plan.
I've still a lot to lose but since March I've done a total of 6 weeks on low carb and lost 25lbs. It's transformed me if I'm honest. I look and feel so much better, I'm putting more effort into my appearance and feel more confident and most important happy. I've spent the last few years gaining and losing a stone or so over months so I feel I've broken through a barrier.
It's got easier and becoming the norm for me to follow, my losses are slowing but every week I'm noticing a change and I love itGrin

lone that's amazing! 25lbs loss is a fantastic achievement!

I don't think this is the fastest way to lose weight, except for initial two weeks, but it's fat that's melting away and it won't come back.

(well it took me me over 2 years of carb creep - and I was training for a marathon so I felt I had to eat carbs - to gain a stone !)

You have definately broken through a barrier. Well done 🙂

I agreed 50 after the initial two weeks I think/expect weight loss to slow to similar to other diets. But the initial big loss does make a difference it can almost be a dress size. I also find (so far, it's still early days) I'm less inclined to go off plan with the fear of carb flu, so been on low carb is less likely to have stalls in loss and not having to deal with any/many gains from a bad weekend where it takes a full week to lose it.

Do you still run? I'm very impressed with you doing a marathon, that's some achievementSmile

Yes I agree fear of carb flu keeps you on the straight and narrow! Also I find it's easier to recover after a blip and get back on low carb and keep going than other ways of eating.

Well done 50 you’re doing brilliantly.

I had a bit of a carb incident when away at a conference this week, after forgetting that I can’t drink much when low carbing and ending up in such a bad way the morning after that my professional credibility required me to eat whatever it took to get me back on my feet.

I’m now being strict again but off on hols next week and allowing myself dessert on the last night.

It seemed a more delicate way to describe me falling face first into a tube of Pringles and following up with a donut Blush. Mixing champagne, wine and vodka was very foolish Blush Blush
