I lost all my excess weight two years LCHFing. It's crept back on over the past year as ive reaching for the frackers, been, eating the kids chips etc. Carb creep and not tracking...means I'm 15lbs over where I like to be ☹️

So, I need to reboot.

I've started tracking today. My aim is to have less than thirty grams carbs a day...

I am armed with double cream, babybel and dark chocolate.

Anyone want to join me?

Hi
I'm doing low carb and 16:8
I find that works for me
If I eat breakfast I find I'm hungry all day!
I'm going for a walk shortly
I had a very physical day yesterday decorating and lifting furniture so I'm taking it easy today!
I drank loads of water though!
I plan to start my exercises (stretches etc) tomorrow.
I have a pretty free week up to now :)

mrsreynolds · 22/04/2018 11:37

40 mins power walk done
Day 1 of the plank challenge done
Phew

mrsreynolds · 22/04/2018 15:06

Family b days today and tomorrow...no cake for me :(
Might have some dark choc when I get home :)
I know I've had "too much" fruit the last two days but it it's been so hot and I figure better fruit than bread/biscuits/cakes...
I didn't really feel hungry today until about an hour ago

Wow well done @living lifepeachy that’s amazing! Feeling really pleased with myself as my dh cooked breadit smelt amazing and he and dc had thick slices covered in butter for lunch. I was tempted but looked in the fridge and discovered Parma ham and mozzarella so had a salad with those and an oily dressing. Day 5 and I don’t seem to have lost any weight but feeling much better. I am really impresssed with all of the exercise everyone is doing, I am super unfit so am going to start walking next week(weather dependant)

Shiraznowplease · 22/04/2018 16:01

Thanks @50and going strong a. Going to try mackeral pate with peppers as you suggested for lunch in the week, it sounds lovely. Thank you for everyone posting food ideas, as hoping it will stop me getting in a rut.

Watching with internet as just looking to do this but been doing the 16:8 for a week and feel so much better. My husband has been combing the 2 and has had a good result!
How much have you lost 50? X

Shiraznowplease · 22/04/2018 18:47

OMG just had 10 cocktail sausages as thought would be ok snack rather than cheese only to find it was 12g of carbs🤬😱 so my total carbs for the day will be 25.4g so gutted as was hoping for sub 20% again. Lesson learnt!

50andgoingstrong · 22/04/2018 20:27

You are all doing so well🙂 Big well done to peachy 4kg is excellent!

I've lost 5lb in 3 weeks🙂 I feel so much better eating this way. I love the fact I'm not hungry between meals.

Lunch out with a friend who always shares her dessert with me! I managed to dodge it and stuck with a pot of tea!

You've really got to watch when eating out the superfood salads with hidden pasta. Fregola....you looked like a pine nut!!

Day 23✅ 30g carbs

Think I'll try to do the 16:8 at weekends. I really need cooked breakfast before work!

Mini sausages are the work of the devil. I did eat one today taking DS to a birthday party but given I’d usually have eaten half a dozen, plus crisps, cake and anything else left over I still feel quite saintly.

Today I had a three cheese omelette for breakfast, pesto chicken with rocket for lunch and prawn curry with pak choi and cauliflower rice for dinner.

I also made a sort of sugar free chocolate panna cotta Which was amazing.

Off to the shops today to stock up on low carb goodies

Will try and fit a walk in around school runs and housework

50andgoingstrong · 23/04/2018 14:41

banging your prawn curry sounds lovely. Would you share your recipe?

Walking is good mrsR. The Mediterranean diet [which is low carb] recommends walking 30 min day.

50 I tend to make it up as I go along depending on what I have in, but last night I used a frozen Thai herb mix (chillies, lemongrass, ginger and coriander I think), a little bit of powdered coconut milk mixed with water, a spoonful of unsweetened almond butter and soy sauce. It tasted nicer than it sounds written there with a satay flavour.

mrsreynolds · 23/04/2018 16:05

I think the carb flu might be hitting me...
Expected but still pants :(
Feel headachey and full
Might not have any dinner after all!

DanceDisaster · 23/04/2018 19:14

Hello! May I join you please?

I’ve just started low(ish) carb today. I’m breastfeeding my 3mo atm, so I’m trying to be a bit flexible, so not super LCHF for now.

I’ve had bacon and eggs for breakfast with tomatoes, then salad with Parma ham and salami for lunch today. I’m about to make chicken breasts with creamy mushroom sauce, asparagus and salad for Dh and me.

I’m about 12 stone and need to lose 4lbs to be a healthy weight. Ideally I’d like to lose more than that though, as I also have a wedding coming up in a couple of months and want to feel less portly by then.

50andgoingstrong · 23/04/2018 20:35

Hi dancedistaster and welcome🙂

Your days menu sounds lovely.

If you're breastfeeding I think you'll lose that weight easily. Congratulations on your baby!

Day 24✅ 27g carbs

mrsreynolds · 23/04/2018 21:05

Been drinking lots
Salt added
Hopefully will feel better tomorrow
Quite pleased I haven't fallen off the wagon even though I've been (low carb) snacking rather than eating

DowntonCrabby · 23/04/2018 22:04

Hoping I can join you all, I've put 2 and a bit stone on since October Blush

Am on day 2 of LC and I had to come to bed at 7:30 with awful nausea, I'd expected the keto-flu type symptoms but not for another few days.

I tend to naturally IF 16:8 or often 18:6 so hoping that will give me a boost too.

A lot of you have done fantastically so far!

Looking forward to May booycamp, I'll definitely be joining up.

mrsreynolds · 24/04/2018 07:40

Still got headache here but planning on drinking lots

DanceDisaster · 24/04/2018 08:44

Poor you @MrsR!

This might not be what you want to do, but in the past when I’ve had bad carb flu, I’ve slightly increased my carbs to help me over the worst of it. Obviously you can just grit your teeth and power through rather than eeking it out, but I can’t seem to do that and end up falling off the wagon (face first into a bag of Percy pigs Blush).

I’m feeling fine so far but only on day 2. If I get carb flu badly I will definitely increase carbs due to young baby and bfing.

Just making myself a cheesy, mushroom scramble (not an omelette as I’m rubbish at them)! Might try making celery soup for lunch and then making a low carb butter chicken recipe I found and having with cauliflower rice for tea. Dh having that with me but with normal rice.

mrsreynolds · 24/04/2018 09:05

I need to meal plan more but dh not here this week so I'm just doing what I fancy
Dh finds this woe so much easier than me...im a sugar and carb addict :(
