Morning all.

Come and fill in the spreadsheet

Only two weeks to go before we finish this challenge. Time to drop a few more pounds!

But go easy with those strawberries ...

Chocky - I used my normal quiche filling recipe (fried off tops of spring onions with chopped bacon, then added eggs whisked with cream plus grated cheese and ground black pepper. I sprinkled Parmesan over the top) and used fairy cake cases in a fairy cake tin. I think I used 8 eggs and made 12 mini quiches. Obviously recipe is easy to adjust to whatever quiche you like Smile

As for the cravings - best tip I was given is to make sure you have plenty of low carb stuff to nibble... and find something that seems like a treat so you feel you are not missing out.

Berry - Thanks for hula hoop info, I'm seeing my GP this week so will ask - sounds a good way to help tone up!

bullet - you twat Grin You can easily deduct 2lb off of that then!

How are you finding this WOE if you have had previous issues? I weigh daily, I find it really helps me. It also helps that I record it daily and can see the ups & downs and I don't panic over them.

Coconut oil & butter - it's making me heave at the thought of it, but the thought of 'Coffee on Speed' is very appealing... Do you have any idea how much coconut oil & butter to add to a cup of coffee - I'm a slack coffee machine (senseo pads) user!

Lol Kotinka. My name is actually to do with my previous dog who was a chocolate working cocker and his nickname was choccywoccy! But I guess you're right. It is a constant reminder.

I do generally have that sort of stuff in the fridge. I think the problem is more about willpower. It happens to me again and again that after a few weeks I "forget" why I'm doing it and have some chocolate Hmm Each time I swear I won't do it again, and yet I do. It's ridiculous. I need to find a way of telling myself why I shouldn't give in to the cravings ( sometimes due to stress, sometimes hormonal).

Mmm Daisy, the quiches sound lovely, I will have a go tomorrow if I can get some cream.

I am down 2lb making a total of a stone so far in this bootcamp :) (blithely ignoring the fact that I have been up and down like a yoyo to get there!) My next mini-goal is the 3 stone off mark which is another 3lb down but I have a lot of family stuff on in the next week or two so will have to see.

I went out for a curry yesterday with friends and fell off the wagon into a korma but have been good today except for some Diet Coke so hope to have minimised the damage.
B: A few strawberries with a dollop of Total f/f youghurt and vanilla
L: 2 sausages and 2 eggs, scrambled with a little cream and butter
T: Skin on roasted chicken leg, creamed leek, mange tout, green beans and asparagus tips

I really like that there is no measuring of food involved in this woe, it helps me to relax about it all. I weigh every time I go to the gym, but I am learning slowly to take the variations with a pinch of salt! I find that as long as I am going to the gym regularly I can keep on top of the crazies!
For the coffee my pot makes a double/triple espresso and I use a large tbsp of coconut oil and about 2 large tbsp of unsalted butter. :)

Chipping....I am making my first Bulletproof Coffee in the morning as I now have coconut oil.

I feel sick at the thought of it but hey ho!

Am going to do a 'proper' shot of real coffee and add a dollop of oil and a tbsp butter. Whisk it up with the blender and try not to throw up!!!

When are we having a meet up? Am sure Crabby does not live too far from us either......we could do a SE meetup....

Ha! I forgot to say!! More lbs off!!!! Grin

Am now down to 173 lbs which I am really pleased about. I was 196 lbs when I started this WOE in January.

Lots of butter and water and the weight really does come off!!

bullet fecking hell - so one cup of coffee has 2Tbs of butter and 1Tbs of oil? Am I reading that right???? You do mean per cup and you do mean tablespoons, not teaspoons?

Rup - tomorrow morning about 7?? LOL I think I need someone to hold my hand while I throw up try this.

Could I still add cream to it? I really don't do black coffee.

I'm not working much at the moment Rup so pretty much whenever it suits you - and if Crabby can make it too that would be FAB (open invite to anyone else from the thread too!!).

bulletwithbutterflywings · 24/06/2013 22:49

You got it! Don't add cream, it tastes like a strong rich latte, honest guv!
I would come to a meet up, I'm in Herts.

Rup you are doing so well!! I am very impressed :) What is your goal weight? No pointing & laughing at my still fat arse when we do meet up! Grin

Bullet - Okayyyyy I'll try anything once. Do you have a favourite brand of unsalted butter?

Where are we going to have this meet up then?

Ruprekt · 24/06/2013 22:56

Is Camberley a good place to meet up?

Lots of restaurants which might do low carb!!!!

Or Windsor??

Bleurgh at the thought of the coffee but need to do it and might add cream if I am whisking it all together.

You are supposed to use grass fed butter, so kerrygold, yeo valley that kind of thing. I use country life because I am poor though! I don't know if its grass fed or not Blush

timidviper · 24/06/2013 23:09

Ruprekt and Chipping I live miles and miles away from you but my DS lives in Camberley so we vist there quite often. Let me know if you find any low carb restaurants around there please!

Report
ChippingInWiredOnCoffee · 24/06/2013 23:16

What is the coffee supposed to do exactly??

I just liked the sound of feeling like I was on speed without any of the danger Grin

I'll try it once you report back tomorrow morning.

Bullet - OK - will see what Waitrose the supermarket has tomorrow. Gulp.

Rup

Camberley would be great for me. Windsor I could do, if it makes the difference between someone else being able to come or not, but it's a long way out for me.

No idea which restaurant would be good for low carbing though - we'll have to have a look into it.

Timid when are you next coming? We could try to make a meet up for then? It would be lovely to meet you IRL :)

I wouldn't have thought finding low carb food would be hard as meat eaters? I thought it was the 'vegetarian' that was making it beyond bloody hard more difficult.

Can we go to Lucia in York?? That was goooooooooooooooooood :)

Evening all, well done all losers!!

Due to unexpected meeting stuff, my first day of planned übercamp ended up being unplanned eating on the run.

B 2 egg omelette made with butter, mushrooms and half a slice of cutted up bacon
L one slice of ham
S a few teaspoons of cheesey coleslaw
D leftover cold turkey steak with more coleslaw

Out for lunch tomorrow with good friend so hoping the cafe she has picked (new) has some decent choices!

Sending good luck (and a virtual hand to hold your hair back) for the Virgin Speeders on Caffeine tomorrow morning! I await your verdict with interest as I'm far too fearty to try it myself

Quiches sound amazing Daisy, thank you. I might have to try!

Crabby I tried to leave a comment on your blog but it went a bit wrong, so I just wanted to say, that sounds like an amazing sauce with the salmon! Another recipe I shall have to venture into.

Well done all incredible shrinking women!

B scrambled egg, tomato
L sardines & salad
D salmon, broccoli, roast swede, salad
S greek yoghurt

The thing that keeps me on the wagon (I can't remember who was asking) is that by doing this WOE I've realised how incredibly addicted to carbs I was. I used to eat all the time, couldn't go between meals without snacking - and after all, it was just the carb addiction. I wonder whether some people just are (or become) much more unable to withstand the carb cravings than others. Anyway what stops me at the moment is not wanting to be in the grip of that "addicted" unstoppable urge to cram my face again.

MrsHP - consider yourself hauled back up on the wagon :) x

TooMuch - bugger about your plans being ruined, I hope lunch tomorrow is better for you! Thank you for offering to hold our hair back - I need all the support I can get. I might not be trying it for a day or two though as I need to get unsalted butter and coconut oil and even though the supermarket is very close I may put that off until Rup has tried it
