Morning campers.

Come and confess all on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

So only three weeks left. I know that things have been moving quite satisfactorily for some of you, so hopefully these last three weeks can see a few more of those pesky pounds disappear.

I had a bit of an altercation with some sticky toffee pudding this weekend (at the PILs) so I've got my work cut out over the next few days to undo the damage!

Off for a run shortly ...

Well done indeed crabby! I'd say tell us all your recipes except you're generously already that on your blog!

I didn't have lunch today (too much work, up against deadlines, to stop) which although I don't intend to make a habit of it, I was interested to see I could go all day fuelled on one mushroom omelette without feeling starving. But I've now had a big dinner of roast celeriac, ratatouille, broccoli, grated cheese and smoked salmon. followed by 1 strawberry & cream!

Hope you feel better soon bullet

nobody you can do it! (sounds like it was a emotional reaction to the family visit maybe? and an emotional reaction to making a cheesecake?? no more of that!)

ChippingInWiredOnCoffee · 21/06/2013 19:06

Loutwenty - why does your DH think his parents feelings about what you are eating are more important than your feelings about what you are eating and especially when you are trying so hard to do this for an operation???

BerylStreep · 21/06/2013 19:07

Yes, me & my sisters are starting to bring food in to Mum - yesterday she had an avocado and tomato salad.

Tomorrow I am doing stuffed peppers with quinoa, herbs, pine nuts, olive oil, feta and a few sultanas. I may do similar for our dinner, but replace the quinoa with courgette and I may or may not keep the sultanas.

Bessie123 · 21/06/2013 19:07

Oh dear, I seem to have been archived. willie could you please put me back?

Sorry, haven't read the thread - no time for anything these days. I have been very naughty with puddings and wine and chocolate over the last few weeks but have managed to maintain, which is ok. I am back insome of my old clothes, I can live with that for now.

I hope everyone is ok. Will try to catch up on news etc tonight.

Smile
LilyAmaryllis · 21/06/2013 19:12

Chipping congratulations on avoiding the bakeries!

BIWI · 21/06/2013 19:16

Sorry, Crabby, I wasn't really very clear with daisy. Overall, she is eating probably a reasonable amount of carbs - but they are coming from the wrong source. And not enough veg in there. That was all I meant.

Thanks lily in a constant battle with myself tonight.

I know I really don't want to do it but the craving part of me is saying 'oh just jack it in for today'.

I will not break!! There, it's written down I can't snap now Smile

bulletwithbutterflywings · 21/06/2013 19:30

Thanks Lily :)

Loutwenty · 21/06/2013 19:55

I just made dh (who is low carbing) and ds a really good faux chicken kebab (as in the sort of chicken off a spinning kebab) if anyone is interested....

left over roast chicken, shredded and fried until crispy in lots of butter and olive oil, with paprika, cumin powder and chill flakes, served over iceberg lettuce with mayo. They loved it. Dh was missing kebabs, and for a friday night 'treat' he said this was amazing.

(I have lost 2lbs on the shakes btw, but will be back on low cab in 3 weeks....and will bw eating lots of faux kebab meat, it smelled great!)

CrabbyBigBottom · 21/06/2013 20:29

Thank you very much everyone for all my congratulations! Smile Smile Smile

BIWI it was Chipping asking about daisy, not me. I wouldn't make you slink off, oh no! Grin

Chipping yes I has a third of a bottle of prosecco on Tuesday evening. It is quite sweet so I'm guessing quite carby, maybe that's responsible for my sts this week. I'll be drinking vats of the stuff some again on the 30th too. Blush Well done on resisting the bakeries!

Kiwi and Lily I will be putting the kashmiri chicken recipe up on the blog tonight or tomorrow and I'll post the link here when I do. It's one of my favourite dishes and tonight I had it with cauliflower fried in chicken fat, turmeric, black mustard and cumin seeds. It was amazing and I didn't miss the rice/naan at all.

Sorry to hear so many people are struggling to resist temptation at the mo. Keep on keeping on! I'm feeling a bit flat and headachey still, no idea why, been like this all week. Trying to resist the lure of yoghurt ice-cream now... it's calling me softly from the fridge. Confused

nobody stay strong! Can you remind yourself why you are losing weight anyway, what your motivation is? (for me it was a MN thread about "what was your lightbulb moment that you had to lose weight?" reading that thread WAS my lightbulb moment. And it linked to BIWI's genius low carb WOE. I read it and thought, "no fruit!! WHAAAT" and then thought, for once in my life I will do as I'm told.)

prettybird · 21/06/2013 23:46

Interview today went quite well Smile. Think I could enjoy the job, but if I don't get it, it's because there's a more suited candidate. Found out this morning that the person I'd be working for (and who was one of the interviewers) is actually a mutual friend of mine. I found out via a Facebook photo - the confirmation being that I knew what shoes she'd be wearing!Shock very nice they were too! Wink

Anyway, it gave me the confidence to wear my favourite purple LK Bennett shoes, even though they technically didn't go with the suit. Felt nice and slim - evidence here the jacket actually does match the skirt, it's just the lighting Grin

Went to see Star Trek Into Darkness with ds this evening in 2D because by the time I'd got round to going, all the 3D showings were over and even in 2D I had to go to the more distant cinema Blush - but was proud of the fact that I only had 14 maltesers (I counted) and a couple of handfuls of popcorn - and only water, no soft drink. Smile

Negroni · 21/06/2013 23:52

Chipping - well done for not setting foot in the bakeries. When I started this WOE I used to go into cake shops and just look and then I would justify my presence there by buying something for DP and DD, even though DP does not even have a sweet tooth. Now I just have to avoid going in these places and lurk around outside staring at cakes and pastries.

I am going to have to start hiding from this thread! All this talk of cheesecake and wine and prosecco is making me hungry and thirsty - and not for the 500ml of fizzy water sitting in front of me.

Negroni · 21/06/2013 23:57

Oh and yoghurt ice cream too. I am not even sure what this is but it is making me feel peckish. Thank goodness we have hardly any food in the house apart from tins of tuna and other dull worthy options

Negroni · 22/06/2013 00:01

Pretty - you are svelte!

Please stop telling me about maltesers. And popcorn. Am now putting fingers in ears and shouting la la la so I do not have to hear any more about delicious carbtastic foods.

CrabbyBigBottom · 22/06/2013 00:14

Lovely outfit Pretty, though from that photo I'm failing to see any reason for you to be on this thread. Hmm Grin

Negroni yoghurt ice-cream is total greek yoghurt with double cream, berries, milled flaxseed and vanilla. Cook a handful of frozen berries until they're losing their texture - sort of like a compote. Add them into the yoghurt and cream with a tbsp of milled flaxseed and some grated vanilla beans. If you leave it in the fridge over night, the flaxseed swells and softens, absorbing some of the moisture in the mixture so that by the morning it's got a similar texture to ice-cream. I make up a tub of it at a time (big handful berries, 2 tbsp flaxseed per medium tub of total). I could eat it for every meal! Blush

Food today:
B - mozzarella, tomatoes, slice parma ham
L - manchego and tomatoes
D - kashmiri chicken, spiced cauli, spinach
P - yoghurt ice cream
3 cups tea today. Loads water. No booze (it's a miracle!)

prettybird · 22/06/2013 08:36

I've lost over 2 and a half stone since starting Boot Camp in January - that's why I'm on this thread. I've only just got back (just) into "normal" BMI :)

I'd like to lose another half stone to stone so that my "old" clothes are looser - but I'm comfortable with the fact that my weight loss has slowed considerably as I approach my target weight nothing whatsoever to do with the squares of dark chocolate and wine I've been drinking Wink

Negroni · 22/06/2013 08:53

Pretty - wow that is inspiring! Well done and hoping to join you near target weight one day in the future!

CrabbyBigBottom · 22/06/2013 08:58

Wow Pretty that's fantastic, well done on two and a half stone! But you don't look 'just' within normal BMI, you look well within it.

I hope you knew I was joking about you not having a reason to be on the thread as you look so slim... I was paying you a compliment, in my silly way.

prettybird · 22/06/2013 09:04

Just noticed my link doesn't work from the PC (had done it from my iPod) - had to take the "m." off the beginning of the web address and then iot worked. The things you learn! Grin

Koti I'm going to be posting the Kashmiri chicken recipe later this morning. It was ready to up on my blog but my stupid fucking wordpress app has lost half the post that I typed last night. I'm very Angry

As soon as it's up I'll link to it here. It's a lovely recipe. Welcome, btw, I remember you from me being on the BB thread. Smile

SamanthaJones · 22/06/2013 10:29

Blimey pretty bird you're THIN! Envy

I've been sticking to this except for wine last night.
