Morning all

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

... for you to confess all. (Although I notice it seems to have gone a bit awry - some of the rows don't line up, so hopefully @FinallyHere will be along soon with her tool kit.

Good to hear from the end of the last thread that there are some good results. But also, there was a fair bit of slippage, even though it was only week 1. You need to keep an eye on that, as it won't be helping you in the long run.

@EquallyDetermined - please don't worry about seeming 'whiny' (which you weren't!). That's exactly what these threads are for. I was a bit puzzled, though, as to why you aren't enjoying the food, given how many lovely things we can eat. What have been typical meals for you? Can we help in any way? (And have you had a look at the recipe threads, for some inspiration?)

Ah, so now we know that we can't (yet) do links to specific tabs....

More info to follow (when I have worked out how)

Meanwhile, please look along the bottom of the screen for the bootcamp lite tab.

@BIWI Mmm...not sure if too low?? I've been eating lots of veg & salad? Thank you for the link to the blog post.

1lb down for me. Pleased enough with that as I can feel that that stomach and hip area are changing shape.

Made BIWI's cauliflower (and broccoli) cheese last night to go with leftover pork. Delish. Am out of FFGY though and have a long day planned so will be having pork and coleslaw for breakfast! Which I don't mind at all but DH finds a bit weird (though he's getting used to it).

Mentally preparing myself for next week and just checked a sushi restaurant that we are going to next week, very happy to see that they have what looks like a gorgeous plate of sashimi so I'll have that and a veggie side.

From a quick glance at the spreadsheet looks as though there is some steady progress this week! 🙌

Ah, and again writing this reminds me I'm behind on my water!

LadyBird1973 · 25/09/2023 08:48

Am not weighing today, after my disastrous weekend. But I'm feeling more 'me' today, so back on it seriously now. This is my danger zone, where I've lost some weight and tend to self sabotage, so I must be very careful now.

GertrudeOnaCamel · 25/09/2023 08:54

Pleased with my progress and it's refreshing to think that while I would normally have abandoned diets by now that this WOE feels like something I can do long term. My BMI has just dropped below 35 and I know that if I just keep going that I can make it below a BMI of 30, which is my first 'main aim'.

I care for a family member and have got into the habit of eating my emotions. It feels like low carb allows me to have foods that give me that feeling of 'being hugged' (does that sound really weird?!) but stops me from bingeing.

It's really good to be part of a team too. I am lurking on the thread and finding it encouraging :-)

Another small step in the right direction (almost a pound). Was doing well till I had an explosion of social events over the weekend. Lunch out on Friday - tapas, no carbs. Dinner out on Friday - Greek Meze - tiny piece of pita, 3 glasses of wine 😬, huge portions of delicious low carb things. Lunch out on Saturday at Zizzi's. Two starters, I thought would be fine. Massive chicken on a skewer and massive portion of pork meatballs in tomato sauce. Top tip - 1 starter at Zizzis is plenty as a main! Feel bloated this morning so happy with my small loss. I'm staying on BC til Friday at least to get the full 14 days in. Good weather and lots of garden jobs to get on with so hopefully lots of exercise and fewer indulgences. B was two slivers of gouda with my coffee. L will be tuna salad, D salmon with broccoli and savoy cabbage. I've had so much meat recently that I might plan a vegetarian week for week 4 (after a big shop). Well done on all the losses, everyone. It's so encouraging to see.

2 and a bit lbs down for me this week. Quite disappointed, although on reflection I’m probably being unreasonable expecting the loss this week to be as big as last week…

This weekend was challenging as I had lots of meals out and a big, strenuous walk, which made the water really hard to keep on top of. I did have a couple glasses of wine and the food was mostly low carb, although I’m sure a couple of flour-based sauces crept in from time to time

Regardless, am still committed and looking forward to the coming week! I don’t do well with ambiguity and moderation (hence needing to lose weight in the first place…) so will stick to boot camp but allow myself a few glasses of wine here and there.

Today’s food will be

B: FFGY and double cream
L: scrambled eggs with tomatoes and cucumber
Dinner: aubergine parmigiana with salad
