Hopefully, the one where you get beyond the Weeks 3, 4 and 5 doldrums. Grin And if you don't, then KOKO, drink all the water and maybe post what you've been eating so we can see if there is anything you can tweak. We're all here both to support and be supported.

@FinallyHere will be along shortly to post the link to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousnessf. It truly is fabulous to see the results coming in Smile

Christmas is in 5 weeks time - that's certainly an incentive for me to keep focussed. Xmas Grin

5 and a half hours?! How much of your body is left uninked @ditavonteesed?!

ditavonteesed · 24/11/2022 18:20

@BIWI not a lot. 😂

prettybird · 24/11/2022 19:01

Gosh - that must have cost you a lot @ditavonteesed Shock

You must have a high pain threshold Shock

OP posts:
ditavonteesed · 24/11/2022 19:15

@prettybird it did. I started getting tattoos a long time ago as a way of making me hate my body less and may have got a little addicted.

prettybird · 24/11/2022 19:32

My niece gets tattoos because she says it's better than cutting herself, which she used to do occasionally quite seriously Sad

OP posts:
ditavonteesed · 24/11/2022 19:58

Dd had one for her 18th to cover scars as a promise to me that she won't do it again because she will want to look after her beautiful (and very expensive) tattoo. Mine are more to do with being fat and very very pale.

comfortablyfrumpy · 24/11/2022 20:00

Breakfast?

In the week I have full fat Greek yog with a spoon of chia seeds and some frozen fruits (summer/fruits of the forest). I mix it up, leave in fridge overnight and take it to work. I now find I am not hungry until mid morning at the earliest.

Weekends I have scrambled eggs, mushrooms and bacon - yum!

ditavonteesed · 24/11/2022 21:05

I always have eggs on low carb toast for breakfast or Greek yoghurt on work days.

NotDonna · 24/11/2022 22:30

prettybird congrats on your whoosh!
I don’t think I do whooshes. I’m feeling a bit meh as I weigh daily and have put on 2lbs since Monday. I’m not eating fruit or nuts as keeping it strict as possible still. I’ve consciously drunk more water/herbal teas today. I’m IF 16/8ish. Feel very ‘stuck’. Also feel bloated and pudgy. I’m obviously KOKO but it is feeling slow.

venusandmars · 24/11/2022 22:43

@debka I'm a big fan of soup for breakfast, On a cold winters morning some broccoli and blue cheese or leek and chicken or spicy tomato and herb - best start to the day.

Or cheesy creamed spinach

Or avocado with grated cheese and vinegrette

Or asparagus with ham and parmesan....

@ditavonteesed I'm astonished at the concept of 5 hours of tattoos, it's not for me - I wasn't even brave enought to get my ears peirced until I was 34, and even then my MIL had to come with me!

NotDonna · 24/11/2022 22:43

I wanted a tattoo when I was younger but couldn’t decide what to have so never did. I was always worried I’d go off whatever it was. Getting something different later never crossed my mind 🤣 I’m too much of a wuss to have one now. The flu jab is enough needle for me!

BIWI · 24/11/2022 23:13

@NotDonna why don't you list out for us what you've been eating and drinking over the last 3-4 days, so we can see if there's anything we might be able to tweak for you?

prettybird · 24/11/2022 23:19

I always love reading the lovely food choices that @venusandmars makes Smile

Tonight I made shakshuka minus the peppers Wink - the chopped coriander to finish it off really takes it to another level. Grin

Wrapped another present tonight (trying to wrap them as they arrive - this one was a Galileo thermometer for SIL) and ordered another couple (Merino/cashmere blend jumpers for dh and ds from Woolovers I have a 20% referral offer if anyone wants one Hmm - although dh's one is a replacement for one I shrunk in a hot wash Blush.

Am about to get a needle and thread out to repair some holes in a couple of jumpers of mine, which I've been needing to do for ages Blush. Will need to do it quickly in order to get to bed before midnight Grin

@NotDonna - did you not go on holiday for a couple of weeks right at the beginning of BootCamp so weren't able to fully commit from the start? If so, you might still be in the Weeks 3, 4 and/or 5 doldrums.

But as @BIWI says, list out what you've been eating and we can see if there is anything we can suggest Smile

Yes I was away first two weeks so was probably more ‘light boot camp’ than strict but that’s why I’ve been strict since. I’m going to really focus on the water and hope that’s it.

Today (Thurs)
Bfast herbal tea
L - beef stew (no flour,) celeriac mash, spinach
D- salmon, stir fry carrots, green beans, tomatoes, peppers
Definitely 3 litres water/herbal tea

yesterday (Wed)
Bfast herbal tea
L- chicken & chorizo, tomatoes, peppers, baby spinach
D- cheeseburger pie & baby spinach

Tues
Bfast herbal tea
L - halibut stew (in restaurant but no obvious carbs) two glasses of red wine. Several diet cokes.
D- cheeseburger pie (at about 10pm so missed my 16/8 fast)

Mon
bfast - herbal tea
L- omelette & peppers, toms, baby spinach
D- beef stew (no flour) celeriac mash

Sun
bfast - herbal tea
L - can’t remember
D - roast beef, carrots, broccoli, cauli, gravy (DH made dinner so could have flour in gravy)

NotDonna · 24/11/2022 23:45

Don’t read any more as we need to get to sleep before midnight! We’ll turn into 🎃

ditavonteesed · 25/11/2022 08:08

@NotDonna I can't see any obvious problems with your food but the more experienced May have suggestions, like others said though May just be the doldrums.
Today is all about Christmas, I'm going to shopping centre and will try and wrap everything I get straight away.
I can't go to the gym for a week, this makes me sad. Eating wasn't great yesterday as I needed some sugar to get through the tattoo without conking out. Need to be super strict till next Thursday when I'm out for a meal for dhs birthday. I'm determined not to hit the duck it button despite all the nights out planned. I will eat what I want on the meals out but be super strict in between. Realistically if I can stay as I am till the new year I will be very happy but I am 1lb off bmi if 25 and it would be nice to break that.
I have sea bass and green veg for dinner, might try and fast till then to recover from yesterday.

ditavonteesed · 25/11/2022 08:09

Cleo the leopard if anyone wants to see him.

Skiphopbump · 25/11/2022 08:44

@ditavonteesed those colours are beautiful

@NotDonna your menu looks quite similar to what I eat. My weight loss slowed down in weeks 3&4 and then started shifting more quickly again.

@prettybird great loss!

BIWI · 25/11/2022 09:06

@NotDonna I can't see anything really obvious there - it might just be a case of tweaking.

That said, it could also be carb creep - the wine, carrots (which are a higher carb veg), possibly flour in some of your sauces.

It's also not clear how much fat you're using/eating - or how much water you're drinking each day.

If I were you, I'd try to go back to strict Bootcamp for a week and see what happens. Go back and read the rules again, to be sure you're following everything.

prettybird · 25/11/2022 09:13

@NotDonna - looking at your menu it looks broadly ok but are you using plenty of fat while you're cooking? Plus you seems to be having a lot of peppers which, iirc are on the red list re carbs (don't know for sure as I don't eat them EnvyWink) and carrots which likewise should only be eating in moderation and not as a central part of your FLGV, as they're high in carbs.

There's a veg carb counter on one of the tabs of the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness (am on phone so can't get to it) so maybe re-acquaint yourself with the "good" veg.

But KOKO Flowers - and also think of the other benefits of this WOE: better skin because of all of the water; not being controlled be hunger; more energy......Grin

Thank you for all your replies. I cook everything in butter but I think my water hasn’t been up to speed other than yesterday when I drank gallons. Lo and behold, the scales have dropped back to Mondays weight at 156lbs this morning. How can you lose 2lbs overnight? So maybe it’s the water. Peppers aren’t in the red although carrots are but it’s probs two carrots a week. I eat an awful lot of spinach as love the stuff. Given it’s bounced down again after gallons water yesterday I’m thinking that’s the issue. I hope so as that’s easily fixed!
@ditavonteesed wow!! It’s beautiful!

My folks are visiting today so we are doing a raclette for dinner - ham, peppers, brocolli, raclette cheese (and potatoes for others). I’ll try stay off the wine as don’t want that 2lbs back on again! I’ve just had a long dog walk in the gorgeous sunshine and lovely natter with a friend, a brunch of salmon & eggs but did have 2 lattes. So now need to wash those away with copious amounts of water!!
Tomorrow lunch will be Soup & garlic bread for everyone so I need to think of something else for me. Then DH is doing an Indian feast of curries, I think there’s a couple with beans/lentils so need to avoid. And obviously the rice. I usually have raw spinach instead of rice. Goes great with curry. I may have a flick through his tabbed recipe book to check ingredients so I don’t inadvertently make poor choices.
Happy Friday campers x

prettybird · 25/11/2022 12:10

Water really does make a difference Grin

Your body really can vary that much - I was 2.25lb down between Tuesday and Wednesday (and back up 0.25lb today)

Looking up the carb count of peppers on line, it does look like there is a difference between red and green peppers (red being "worse" I hate them whatever colour they are Envy) so I'd still try to moderate how many you have but I might be biased Wink

Spinach is good though, so it's great that you like it so much.

Cauliflower florets work well with raclette and gherkins are also a traditional accompaniment Smile

I'm sure you'll make good choices with your dh's curries. Halo

In other news, I finally dared try on my "good" black trousers today. The good news is that I can get them on and they do up Smile. The bad news is that they are still too tight to look good Sad: they're straining a bit across the thighs and the zip is under pressure, with its placket (is that the right word - the bit that covers the zip) doing that gaping thing at the top rather than sitting flat Blush

All the more incentive to lose another half stone by Christmas Xmas Grin

BIWI · 25/11/2022 13:31

2 lattes @NotDonna?! That's going to be a huge amount of carbs.

Around 18g carbs!

Don't be under the illusion that the water will wash them away.

You really can't afford to keep relaxing things if you want to see the scales drop down for you. (Sorry!)
