Hopefully, the one where you get beyond the Weeks 3, 4 and 5 doldrums. Grin And if you don't, then KOKO, drink all the water and maybe post what you've been eating so we can see if there is anything you can tweak. We're all here both to support and be supported.

@FinallyHere will be along shortly to post the link to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousnessf. It truly is fabulous to see the results coming in Smile

Christmas is in 5 weeks time - that's certainly an incentive for me to keep focussed. Xmas Grin

I guess it's a menopause thing... but I am finding the chub round my middle is soooo slow to go. My legs, on the other hand, are sliiiim!
But this waist, or lack of, is bloody annoying!

NotDonna · 21/11/2022 20:45

The first place mine disappears is my already non-existent boobs! 🙄🙄 I look down and I see tummy first!

prettybird · 21/11/2022 20:53

We're all different shapes and react differently as we lose weight.

I always have a waist (even when I was pregnant at least front on Shock) and my boobs resolutely refuse to deflate Confused. My underboob measurement goes down but my round-boob measurement stays the same so I go up a cup size ShockConfused

My waist is a bit thicker post menopause but still well defined Grin I just need to get rid of the muffin top I currently have Blush

So many great losses. Every pound, is a pound better. Well done everyone.

My weight loss pattern seems to go (simultaneously) top down and bottom up.

So my face and my ankles get thin; my chin and my knees; my boobs and my thighs. my apple-shaped belly remains as as roudn as a robbin!

I went to visit my lovely friend today. She'd made me chicken and veg soup, then smaoked salmon salad - what a pal!

ditavonteesed · 22/11/2022 07:02

My belly is the thing that never goes, my boobs have actually shrunk this time thank god as I have enormous boobs and I've already had a breast reduction. My legs were always slim even when I was at my heaviest.

I went for breakfast with my lovely friend yesterday and taught her about the concept of ghost dressing, always look fabulous in case you die and your stuck like that for ever. We went to charity shop and she found boots and I found lovely trousers. Same charity shop I found amazing boots in last week.
This weeks big treat is I'm getting a new tattoo on Thursday. I'm a bit worried it will stop me going to the gym for a week.

Some fabulous losses, like @venusandmars says every pound off counts and it all adds up.

@Lucienandjean milestone twins. 50 is such a lovely round number isn't it?
@Baystard excellent on the trousers, I might dig the pink trousers out (does anyone remember the pink trousers I never quite got into them).
Yesterday instead of shoogled sprouts I had pan fried sprouts, also lush.

@prettybird get that water in you must be due a whoosh soon.
@Skiphopbump just wow, well done.
@ZiggZagg sudden jumps up aren't real, wash that bugger out with all the water.
Party season here starts next week as drs birthday is 1st, I have 4 meals out planned over 2 weeks. Determined to koko as last year I lost it and never quite got it back.

ditavonteesed · 22/11/2022 07:03

Dhs birthday I don't know when my drs birthday is.

prettybird · 22/11/2022 08:09

Well, it's not quite a whoosh but I'm now under 12 stone 7lb Grin .....by just a 1/4lb but it's still under 12.and a half stone at 12st 6.75lb Shock

I'll take it Wink

Congratulations on the half-century loss @Lucienandjean and @ditavonteesed

@debka well done. Every pound in the right direction counts. Feast your eyes on a pound of fat (BIWI's picture from a while back of two 250g packets of butter

Zooming it @Baystard

Sounds as if we might be similar body types @ditavonteesed

Is it possible there is a correlation between sensitivity to sugar and a heavier on top with slim legs body type?

Newlease · 22/11/2022 09:17

Amazing loss everyone!! After sticking very much to the rules and drank water properly for most days last week, my scales went 200gm down yesterday, thanks very much 🙄<in protest I didn’t enter on spreadsheet yet>
Then got up today and TOM. There will always be something when I wait for the woosh🤪
Saying that I am on mini pills and only ever get this when I do LW/Keto and after few weeks of loss. So I will take this NSV. I imagine all the fat has gone out of my internal organs for it to function as expected 😬
Party time is on us as well, Work Christmas dos, birthday with family and friends all starts on Dec 1st.. Plan is to enjoy a bit and get back on plan.. usually I stop there and only pick this back up in Jan. which is why I am on third BC with same starting weight

Sunsnowsun · 22/11/2022 10:17

Morning all , so good to hear how everyone is doing. I weighed today (my Tuesday weight seems a more accurate reflection) and am 1.5lbs down, aiming for another off this week.
I made a real effort over the weekend to serve extra green veg and more water with all meals, the result was everyone ate it and all seemed to discover a love of MY extra sprouts 😂. Moreover, my weight loss definitely showed it was a good plan for me.

I am going to think a bit more about other ways to incorporate these kind of strategies into the build up to Christmas, as I really don’t want to undo my hard work. For example I would tend not to eat shop bought mince pies if offered as I generally don’t like them.

debka · 22/11/2022 11:23

@FinallyHere there is definitely a link between insulin resistance and central obesity- which is why we consider waist measurement a useful predictor of health.

Thanks for the encouragement over my 1lb! 2 packs of butter sounds very positive!

prettybird · 22/11/2022 12:52

Came across the meme I'd been trying to find a couple of weeks ago, which essentially says you may as well "go for it" rather than thinking there's no point because it would take too long.

It works for Boot Camp too Smile

Thank you @FinallyHere and well done to you too, @ditavonteesed. 50lbs off seemed unachievable at the start of the year but now I'm looking ahead to being a healthy weight for the first time in my adult life - hopefully by the end of 2023!

GoldenFarfalle · 22/11/2022 16:14

Hello, how can I start the bootcamp please? Thank you very much.

comfortablyfrumpy · 22/11/2022 16:45

I did a sneaky weigh today (I know... ) and beggar me, another lb.... I will be chuffed if that's still missing next Monday! I will then be just 1lb short of 2.5 stone since April.

Even using yesterday's weigh in figure, I am 33lbs down so that is 66 (in pld money) packs of butter. Try putting that into a few carrier bags and lugging them around all day! KoKO....

prettybird · 22/11/2022 17:03

Welcome @GoldenFarfalle Flowers - you can jump right in Smile

All the resources you need are in the various tabs of Spreadsheet of Fabulousness which @FinallyHere linked to in the 2nd post of this thread. She can also add you to the weigh-in thread if you want to track your weight.

I'd suggest you look back over the previous threads - especially the Week 1 thread, as that goes through The Rules and newbies are asking questions. Weeks 1 and 2 are the strict ones and then you can choose to go on to Boot Camp Light (maybe just a couple of days a week Wink) where you are "allowed" a few more things (like certain alcohol, nuts/seeds, berries) in moderation Grin

Each week has its own challenges and there is one per week of various weeks of the Boot Camp.

Omg I have just realised I have 5 nights out in 2 weeks from 1st dec. this is a little alarming from a diet point of view, from a financial point of view and from an actually surviving point of view.

FinallyHere · 22/11/2022 17:40

Hi @GoldenFarfalle Welcome, you have joined in just by posting here

Your name has been added to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

The first tab is a weigh-in sheet, should you wish to record and monitor you weight, week by week. No pressure, lots of us don't and find other ways to track progress, such as the fit of our clothes, waist measurements etc

The other tabs include lots of information, including the 'rules' and further guides to carb counts on vegetables, links to the original sources and motivation generally. Hope it works for you.

prettybird · 22/11/2022 18:06

@Sunsnowsun - I'm with you on shop bought mince pies. I'm quite happy to turn them down as I'm really not keen on them.

My own home made ones on the other hand......Wink Xmas Blush- that's why I have to clear space in the freezer so I can freeze them Xmas Shock. They're easily heated up and most people prefer them warm - except me who likes them cold Xmas Grin

prettybird · 22/11/2022 18:12

@ditavonteesed - can you survive your nights out on water? After the initial surprised comments, you might find that people will accept it.

It would mean you would kill 2 birds with one stone: achieve your water, water, water allocation and reduce the impact on your purse Xmas Grin

OP posts:
ditavonteesed · 22/11/2022 18:16

@prettybird good idea but absolutely not 😂
I'll have to be good as gold in between them.

prettybird · 22/11/2022 18:23

Oh well, it was an idea @ditavonteesed Xmas Wink

Any chance, when it's your round, that you could get large soda waters and pretend that they are G&Ts?
