Morning all.

I was going to link, as usual, to the spreadsheet, but it doesn't appear to be working for me this morning Confused. Will have to call on @Baystard to help out!

I was glad to read on the other thread, though, about continuing losses - which is great to hear, especially as we have just finished the dreaded weeks 3 and 4. Hopefully the losses will continue from now on.

This week is likely to offer challenges with the Jubilee weekend, and the inevitable parties (sorry, work meetings) Wink

Like many others, I expect, we're planning on a barbecue - but thankfully barbecue food is probably the most low-carb friendly way to eat at a social gathering. As long as you avoid burger buns or hot dog buns, it's usually all pretty low carb fare - especially when you're making your own salads and marinades etc.

So this week's challenge is to share your favourite barbecue recipes and tips!

Gosh Lougle, that is a massive difference. It must feel so much more comfortable.

I brought bruch to work today, for the first time. I defrosted spinach overnight. Then in a baking dish the am, with butter, topped with 3 eggs and cheddar. 20mins . I'll definitely do that again.

I've recorded 165 in the SoF - a 1lb loss. I even saw 163. something this week, but was 165.2 this am. 164 is my target for this week.

Mercedesbenz2022 · 30/05/2022 12:52

Wow this thread is moving quickly today
no breakfast as intermittent faster
greek salad with dressing from ms , and with more veg added by me , camomile tea

tonight with be salmon and salad

ditavonteesed · 30/05/2022 13:07

@lougle that is some from on the waist, I'm impressed. I don't record mine when I first started but I seem to remember it was 38. That was a year and a half ago though.

ditavonteesed · 30/05/2022 13:09

Meant to say I have a roast from Morrisons for dinner today that my mum gave me, chicken wrapped in bacon, sausage, stuffing and gravy, 2.1g carbs per 100g. Plus green veg, I'm really looking forward to it.

Lougle · 30/05/2022 13:19

I think it just shows that carbs are not my friends! It will be mostly bloating that has gone, but still very happy.

TheRealShedSadie · 30/05/2022 13:51

Oooooh second half! I’m static at the moment, but I’ve enjoyed getting some of my old summer clothes out and seeing how much better they fit.

2lb loss needed to tip over that crucial stone milestone so KOKO for me!

BIWI · 30/05/2022 15:30

Wondering how @LiveLongAndProsper's cat is getting on? Wink

Livelongandprosper · 30/05/2022 16:24

@BIWI The cat has stayed the same - well done Maya! Unfortunately this week I have put back on the pounds I lost since the start of bootcamp.
I visit my dad's partner every week since he died, to take her shopping etc. She gave me two large packets of biscuits to take home for my partner. A 1 hour 40 minute car journey home with two packs of biscuits.
There's a mistake I won't be making again.

Ollieharriet · 30/05/2022 17:30

2lbs for me so 13 lbs in total. Hoping for the stone by next week. Was really good all week bar Saturday where I had a few white wines.

Lougle · 30/05/2022 17:44

@Livelongandprosper there is a definite reason that boots were added to cars! I'm sure you'll get rid of it soon.

My DF is trying to reduce DM and his food. Funny conversation:
Him: Next time you have avocado, try this dressing: maple syrup, olive oil, Dijon mustard, salt pepper. Amazing! Had it tonight.
Me: I'm sure it's lovely, Dad! The maple syrup isn't ok for me though.
DF: Oh, why???
Me: Carbs, Dad. It's carbs I'm avoiding and maple syrup is pure carbs...
DF: Oh, didn't realise.

BIWI · 30/05/2022 17:50

Maybe you should switch to cat biscuits, @Livelongandprosper, seeing as it's working for Maya?

@Lougle well done on the measurements, that's fab and you'll make the stone soon I'm sure @UnOeufIsEnough. Well done 👏. Congrats also @ditavonteesed.

I've not weighed as away on holiday. Good food but had some wine. Hoping the 26k steps yesterday and 20k steps today will have countered this somewhat!!

Post Jan bootcamp, I just carried on BC light. A bit too much alcohol and nuts and rich LC foods whilst away with work a few times stalled me sometimes but I'm nearly 2 stone down. I'm just carrying on tbh as I don't find it hard or miss treats. The only thing which I might treat myself to occasionally is a nice cold beer in a pub garden or Sat by the pool in Greece!

SummerSazz · 30/05/2022 18:09

@BIWI the halloumi recipe sounds lovely and will definitely try that Thankyou.

UnOeufIsEnough · 30/05/2022 18:13

On track today:

B: coffee with almond milk
L: random green veg soup, skin-on chicken thighs
Snack: some leftover roast pork
D: salmon, tenderstem broccoli and asparagus in butter

UnOeufIsEnough · 30/05/2022 18:13

@SummerSazz thank you FlowersFlowers

IveNeverTriedThisBefore · 30/05/2022 18:38

L: scrambled eggs with cream & buttered asparagus
D: aubergine parmesan & mozzarella and shoogled broccoli
Had a small bowl of greek yoghurt after, not sure if due to hunger or just felt like eating something else 🤔
On track for all my water and had 2 creamy coffees

Doing grocery shop tomorrow, trying to plan food for me and the rest of family for week, I always find it a bit difficult to plan

Mercedesbenz2022 · 30/05/2022 19:48

A little nsv
a blouse that has always pulled on the hips , slid on OVER my jeans !
delighted 😀

Livelongandprosper · 30/05/2022 19:51

@BIWI Hmmm, cat biscuits....

Livelongandprosper · 30/05/2022 19:55

Love to hear about the nsv's! And photos are very inspiring @ditavonteesed

Bananajam · 30/05/2022 20:47

I'm down a whole stone, I can't believe it 🥳 i am so pleased with my weight loss, my clothes are either properly fitting or loose!! I still have more to lose but I'm delighted with the journey so far.
Congratulations everyone!

Lougle · 30/05/2022 21:08

Thank you @SummerSazz - I'm happy to take it slow so it becomes a lifestyle, not a fad, but still pleased.

So impressed with @Mercedesbenz2022 - clothes fitting effortlessly feels so good!

@Bananajam a stone is a huge milestone! Well done.

I've taken my first steps with exercise. I had a second hand 'Wonder Core' machine in my loft, so I asked DH to get it down. I did 90 sit-ups today.

B - Greek Yoghurt and raspberries
L - Salad - salad leaves, cucumber, tomato, halloumi, vinaigrette.
D - Traybake - broccoli, peppers, leeks, & mushrooms, roasted in olive oil with fennel seeds, then topped with salmon, butter, lemon slices, roasted.

Fluids: 6 cups of tea. 3 x 750ml electrolyte water.

My bowels are playing up a bit - IBD flare. I don't know whether it's the vastly increased veg, the increase in the use of black pepper (I've developed a bit of a thing for it!) or something else. I suppose it could be the electrolyte tabs, but I was having sugar free squash before BC, so I wouldn't think so.

ZiggZagg · 30/05/2022 21:49

Evening everyone!

Had a bit of an off piste weekend, drowning my champions league sorrow then celebrating with the parade the next day 🙈

Haven't weighed this morning (far too scared) but will step on tomorrow and take accountability for my indiscretions 😭

Have decided that, regardless of what is on the scales tomorrow, I will crack on with an egg fast for the next 3-5 days depending on how I feel. Hoping to get 2 stone at least off by September and need to get serious!

Lougle · 30/05/2022 22:03

@ZiggZagg an egg fast sounds a bit grim! I don't suppose you could just forgive yourself and start afresh tomorrow? Any gain will soon drop off.

ZiggZagg · 30/05/2022 22:08

@Lougle I know what you're saying and it's probably not even that bad. Just feel like I made really good progress and wanted to keep
momentum for my holiday.
