Morning all.

Here, for its last outing this Bootcamp is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I know the last couple of weeks have been a bit quiet, and apologies for Covid-related absence from me as well, but it looks like this has been a pretty successful Bootcamp, which is great.

I don't know when the next Bootcamp will be, but probably won't be till around May at some point. However, we'll keep this thread going in the interim.

Don't forget to have a good rummage around the other threads in the Bootcamp topic in the interim, especially the recipe threads, as there's lots of useful stuff there.

And thank you to everyone who has posted, helped to support other posters and even those who have just lurked at the back! I genuinely wouldn't have even half the motivation to do this without you. This is a rather lovely little corner of Mumsnet.

@SpottyBumPony the aubergine looks nice and I couldn't see any 'normal' veg sides but if they do then that sounds delicious. Or the seabass or lamb with beans substituted for the carbs but not if it's just a light lunch.

Well done @ditavonteesed for getting back on it

I've been continuing and another 1lb off this week. Could have been 2 but I had some wine on Friday and that reversed things slightly. 17lbs off in total and I'm aiming for 5lbs off in April to make my 1 May target of 11st.

I really need to do some exercise - has taken a back step this bootcamp with my fractured foot. My belly is like crepe paper Confused. Normally when dieting I'd have been swimming/Pilates/running and it isn't so obvious. Seeing the foot consultant on weds and will try and do some swimming now my study course is almost finished.

KOKO all!!! 💦

Can I join you again. I am just back from holiday. It was fantastic. My weight has jumped up but I enjoyed every minute. I felt confident enough to put my not very toned body in a bikini. First time I have been away in 2 years. After so much rich food and too many cocktails I was happy to get back on the wagon. Today, scrambled eggs with butter for lunch. Roast chicken, green beans and cabbage stir fried in butter for dinner. The headache has started….
Enjoy your belated birthday celebrations @NigellaAwesome. I met so many people who were celebrating delayed and rescheduled events. Let’s hope life is getting back to normal.

I just found some of that old bootcamp favourite, Buttermint Tea! I thought it had been discontinued. Also bought some of the Yorkshire Tea and biscuits (I think there was a thread about it this week somewhere here) and it really is lovely- wouldn't have looked twice at it without a recommendation!

pinknsparkly · 05/04/2022 18:16

@FrenchBoule - I've never tried changing my username (I've never really posted on MN much before the bootcamps, I'm definitely a lurker by nature Grin). Do you know if you lose your history by namechanging? I have "watched" a number of useful threads that I keep meaning to go back to and read in detail that I'm reluctant to lose. But perhaps a fresh start with a name change and a blank watch list might be a good thing as I secretly know I'll never get round to reading them!

@ditavonteesed - good luck with the last day of egg fast! How have you found it? Have you just eaten lots of boiled eggs or tried to mix it up?

I've also discovered Tesco finest vanilla chai tea bags which are delicious with or without milk. They actually taste as good as they smell!
Rayna37 · 05/04/2022 18:38

16hr fast then boiled eggs for a late breakfast- my usual desk-based meal. Nice treat for lunch of the leftover Meatza I made on Saturday. Just happened to have all the ingredients in when browsing an old keto cookbook and they needed using up, not sure why I hadn't made it before it was really easy! Beef mince base (actually think pork might be better) topped with pesto, spinach mushrooms and mozzarella. I miss the ones M&S sold!
Celeriac-topped venison cottage pie was also a hit tonight, with a side of spring greens.

Pleaseandthankyou · 05/04/2022 19:06

I made the gnarly peanut chicken tonight. I just mixed up all the ingredients and covered skin on chicken thighs. Roasted in the oven. Not exactly following the recipe but really good.

ditavonteesed · 05/04/2022 21:12

@pinknsparkly thanks, I didn't just eat boiled eggs, actually it wasn't that hard, I had a blue cheese omelette, fried eggs worth cheese slices and I made egg custard with egg and cream cheese and vanilla essence. Another pound down this morning, would do it again.

I have managed to eat really well at work today which is a mega bonus as the office is full of chocolate.

@Pleaseandthankyou well done for getting back on it, it feels so liberating after a little binge doesn't it.
@SummerSazz good luck with the excercise. How's the leg doing?
@Rayna37 buttermint tra where can I find this heavenly sounding thing. I'm currently loving pukka wild apple and cinnamon.

Rayna37 · 05/04/2022 21:30

@ditavonteesed it's a Twinings one, found
it in Sainsburys after a long absence, used to see it in Waitrose too. Yellow box. I've been making do with the fancy Aldi pyramid bags of peppermint and their cheap chamomile so maybe it's been back a while and I just haven't noticed!

StuntNun · 06/04/2022 18:54

@ditavonteesed Buttermint tea is the best! It's carb free and taster like Werthers Original.

SummerSazz · 06/04/2022 19:15

Thanks @ditavonteesed saw the consultant this morning and I need an MRI as he's not sure what is going on. At least something is happening and he's ok for me to swim Smile

Food has been a bit hit and miss here as I have no kitchen. I've not eaten much but that doesn't help with weight loss for me. So today I've had yog/cream/strawbs/rasps, a bit tuna mayo salad for lunch but only pork scratchings for tea so far Confused

Water been better today as well.

I also went to Asda and bought some better food!

ditavonteesed · 08/04/2022 07:12

@SummerSazz at least you can swim 5en, when will the mri be?
Omg the butter mint tea, it's like witch craft how is it possible to taste that much like mint humbugs, definitely new addiction.
I'm going camping tomorrow for the first time in the camper van so I shall be shopping today for food. We are only going for one night so I should be able to sort something on plan.

Gym is going well, I can feel every muscle in my body, not in a bad way just that I am aware of them. I think I am going to get a personal trainer for my birthday. I want to be able to do more free weights but I have no idea where to start. Really enjoying it.
I would like to get my body fat percentage done but im not sure my renpho scales are very good, the body fat percentage just seems to go up and down at an exact rate with the weight so I don't thing it's actually being measured.

StuntNun · 10/04/2022 06:30

DH made Eggs Benedict yesterday with a roasted portobello mushroom instead of the muffin. It was lovely, really hit the spot!

That sounds amazing - will have to give that a go!

stayathomegardener · 11/04/2022 08:22

I've really fallen off the wagon, so disappointed in myself.

Posting here for accountability.
Alcohol is also an issue.

SummerSazz · 11/04/2022 08:45

Sorry to hear that @stayathomegardener - I had far more to drink this weekend than I have since starting which is not great and going away on weds too so will likely be more. Will try and moderate and will take my alcohol free gin so I've got an alternative to hand

@StuntNun - that looks amazing. I'm always too lazy to make a hollandaise but it's my favourite breakfast if out (usually ask for it on a bed of spinach but mushroom looks awesome.)

@ditavonteesed no date for MRI but hopefully it comes soon

Week 13 from when I started and 19lbs down. 3lb from my 11st target for 1 May and 7lbs to get to normal BMI

Fitted into a dress I haven't been able to for a while. Feels good but bingo wings clearly need some work Blush. Pics of progress and dress + bingo wings Grin attached.

@SummerSazz you look great in that dress. @stayathomegardener even if this thread is quiet keep posting. I lost 3lbs last week. It should have been more but the weekend got out of hand. I shall say no more. I am trying to go without breakfast. Currently sitting with my tummy rumbling. I hope the feeling will go away.

SummerSazz · 11/04/2022 09:33

Thanks both

@Pleaseandthankyou 3lb is great, well done 👏. I scraped into 2lb but wasn't a full 2lb if that makes sense!

StuntNun · 11/04/2022 10:36

Oh no @stayathomegardener what's the plan for getting back on track? Do you have any favourite low carb meals you could have over the next few days to get you back into the swing of it again?

BIWI · 11/04/2022 10:44

What triggered that @stayathomegardener? Something you can get passed, hopefully?

SpottyBumPony · 11/04/2022 13:37

Sts this week, I know where the carbs were so can avoid the same this week.

I managed to spend some time with my horse this weekend for the first time in ages which was lovely.

ZiggZagg · 11/04/2022 13:54

Hey all, I dropped off this bootcamp spectacularly and been scared to even keep up with the threads. Have had a torrid few months but feeling like I need to force myself to turn that corner now! Hoping it's ok for me to slink (not at all slinky) back in! I have a cruise in September and a beautiful ball gown in a size 14 that I am determined to fit into, so that will be my motivation! It will hang up in my living room to inspire me in lots of fantastic, tasty low carb choices. I will be beginning tomorrow with a 3 day egg fast to catapult me back into low carb way of thinking/ living.

Hoping everyone is well, I have seen lots of amazing progress and will read all the threads to keep myself motivated and inspired!

Smile
stayathomegardener · 11/04/2022 17:25

And there you have it @BIWI!

I moved my Mum with dementia from a care home 6 hours away to one 3 minutes from here as per her wishes but against my sisters. (To clarify sister is 6hrs+ away from both locations)
Only one incident at Starbucks M6 Warwickshire involving a locked loo door, discarded sandals and wet pants but the anticipation and angst prior and potential for disaster were huge.

Mentally and emotionally wrung out still.

What I'm going to do... post here, accountability has gone well today.

Thank you for kind words and @SummerSazz the inspiration, looking VERY trim in your dress.
