@coffeealldayandnight this way of eating is how our ancestors ate - and they (and their babies) seemed to do OK, after all the human species is still here. It's been more of a challenge for our bodies to cope with a diet that has frequent wheat and sugar, hence the high incidence of metabolic disorder such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and some allegies. You can only be doing your child a favour by cutting out additives, reducing ultra processed food, avoiding corn oil and sunflower oil.
If you look at a recipe for keto bread (home made) it has 5 or 6 ingredients. Look at the ingredients in any branded sliced loaf. There's about 20 of them, including one for which the sole purpse is to clean the bread mixing machines and stop the ingredients sticking to it. It is supposedly inert, but WTF!
I hope you enjoy this approach. Some people report improved brain functioning / alertness (after the first week or so) - anyone with a small baby could use some of that
@Baystard excellent NSV!!
@UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea that is terrible about the delay to see a GP / specialist
. My dh has a slightly worrying skin lesion. He phoned the GP, got a call back the same morning, sent photos as instructed, and got another call back that day and a referral to dermatology. He's now got a dermatology hospital appointment, which will be within 3 weeks of his initial phone call. And I do think (fingers crossed) that it's a slightly worrying issue, doesn't look like galloping melanoma to me or the GP.
@BIWI when I frist read that you were travelling to return SIL 'home' I thought, bloodly hell, that's a long drive back to Australia
