Sunday night here is games night, so better that I start the thread now, before I forget as I've gone to bed so late!

I truly hope that this link to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness works!

Apologies if it doesn't, but hopefully someone will come and post a working one if it doesn't!

I love week 2, as for those who haven't low carbed before the results are often spectacularly incredible!

But even for those of us who are more used to low carbing, hopefully this first week has seen you make a good start.

It's looking like some warmer weather is heading our way, which always makes things seem more positive - but also focuses our minds on things like skimpier clothing, so hopefully will help to keep us toeing the line!

I hope the scales have rewarded your hard work, and here's to a good week ahead Flowers

Yeh I thought that but also thought about taking them back for a different size. That's a bit defeatist though isn't it!

prettybird · 20/04/2021 16:59

They'll relax Wink

I have chunky thighs but I've found that the M&S Harper jeans (cigarette style) work well on me. They're technically ankle length but by getting "long", they're standard length on me Smile

High waisted and a 12 fitted me, even when I was a 14 in other jeans (I do have a small well defined waistGrin) Smile
@MrsKoala

I tried it. I would eat it again, but I do think they look a bit like elastic bands! They are a bit chewy too. But the flavour is inoffensive and they do soak up sauce.
Thanks, I thought I recalled them from here but as I had an astonishingly realistic dream last night about eating roast potatoes, I don’t really know what’s real and in my imagination wrt a lot of things Grin

It says on the packet 1/4 is a portion but that looks tiny, surely 1/2 is more realistic?

FusionChefGeoff · 20/04/2021 18:17

Hello! My neighbours tulips are miraculous - the most beautiful red I've ever seen but mine are not worthy of a picture yet!!

Mental work day - met a colleague for a distanced meeting / lunch out which was my first main challenge but had cheese and bacon burger no bun and salad with Mayo instead of chips. Worked ok I think.

Just had my last SLC roll as a cheese sarnie to see if the gluten fibre sets me off again... watch this space!

If I'm hungry later planning on a frittata type affair very similar to biwi actually!!

I have a beetroot question - my jar of pickled puts it at 5.3g which would be ok - but it's much higher on the SOF - any ideas??

colouringindoors · 20/04/2021 18:26

I have a fresh fillet of mackerel, was planning to pan try in butter. Can anyone suggest some herbs/seasoning to make it more interesting or else that and my buttered veg will be dull. No dairy though, lots already today...

Ideclarethumbwar · 20/04/2021 18:28

Evening,
I’m in the spreadsheet but late to the party - I need to fill my details in.
I’ve done Keto for 8 weeks and lost 26lb. Stalled completely with no losses in week 6 & 7 but I had a 5lb ‘whoosh’ last week which was amazing.
Adding last year’s loss I am now down 35lb which is 15% of my body weight. I am thrilled that it’s going well.

I apologise if I miss important info etc... I work 5 x 12 hour days a week so I don’t always find the time to come online. I’ll join in when I can though.

Hope week 2 is going well for everyone!

colouringindoors · 20/04/2021 18:29

mrskoala I'd go for half. My konjac noodles say something similar and I always double it.

colouringindoors · 20/04/2021 18:30

Ideclare wow! that's a brilliant loss! Any tips to your success?

MrsKoala · 20/04/2021 18:32

I like rosemary with mackerel- it’s so strong and robust I think it holds it well. If you have any fresh, while the fish is resting fry some of the whole needles in olive oil till crispy and then pour the infused oil and crunchy bits over the fish. Probably nice with roasted celeriac.

colouringindoors · 20/04/2021 18:32

Thanks! I might actually have some fresh too.

nowlook · 20/04/2021 18:37

Those jeans would count as loose in my book @cheeseisthebest Grin

I certainly don't think you should size up.

My post-lockdown nightmare is shoes. I need to go and do my corporate thing in a couple of weeks' time, but the very thought of my usual heels is agony. Might have to compromise with some wedges like a poor man's Kate Middleton. Grrr.

Ideclarethumbwar · 20/04/2021 18:49

For me, full Keto & no cheating has worked wonders. I also do intermittent fasting so usually 16:8 or 18:6 with the occasional OMAD. That way I’ve kept my calories under 1000 per day. With Keto, once the first week is over, it’s plain sailing really. No hunger. I miss alcohol and cake though.

ditavonteesed · 20/04/2021 18:49

Excuse the goofy photo @BIWI I just wanted to show you my eyebrows are micro bladed, they are invisible without and my woman really listened to me in the natural, some of my colleagues go to her and they all have full on make up party style. I love not having to put any makeup on them.

nowlook · 20/04/2021 19:03

Those are the first microbladed eyebrows I've ever seen that look natural @ditavonteesed. Wow!

BIWI · 20/04/2021 19:06

Absolutely! If I could guarantee something that natural-looking I'd have a go.

Just checking in, bootcamp has not been top of my list really and Ramadan has also gone to pot Sad

Dad still hanging in there and drs still treating him so I have hope, keeping everything crossed!

Cathy Twat has been sitting on my knee the last few days but I will try to get back on it tomorrow, at least that is something that I can control at the moment.

Hope everyone is doing well! KOKO!

ditavonteesed · 20/04/2021 19:17

@ZiggZagg 💐

ZiggZagg · 20/04/2021 19:22

Thanks @ditavonteesed you can really see the difference in your face! And that hair colour is fab!

ditavonteesed · 20/04/2021 19:28

Thanks @ZiggZagg it's actually my natural colour for the first time in forever. I'm wondering (not really because I wouldn't dare) about Botox, I'm definitely getting crinklier as I shrink.

ZiggZagg · 20/04/2021 19:30

Oh I had Botox (not loads, didn't want to have the frozen look Wink) it's great and really softens the lines. I always wanted strawberry blonde but can't pull it off Grin

FinallyHere · 20/04/2021 19:34

having seen @ditavonteesed being brave enough to post a photo, these are my new eyebrows, well, in 2015, they day they were done and a few days later with makeup.

Without these, you can hardly see my eyebrows, so I was very concerned that they would be very artificial, very happy with these.

Process explained and like up thread, so I won't repeat that here.

ditavonteesed · 20/04/2021 19:35

It took me years to get over all the torture at school (was bright orange when I was a kid) and embrace the ging.

ditavonteesed · 20/04/2021 19:36

@FinallyHere they are great eyebrows. Perfect shape for your face and really natural.

Random789 · 20/04/2021 19:44

Those eyebrows look really very lovely, ditavonteesed . And so do yours, FinallyHere.
If I'd had the confidence that mine would have been as good and as natural as these, I would have gone for microblading. I am happy with the plain tattoo I've got, though. All it takes is the suggestion of a line for people to 'read' you as having eyebrows and that is enough, really, for me.

ElasticFirecracker · 20/04/2021 19:59

@BuffyTheBuffetSlayer

That's great to hear *@ElasticFirecracker*, means there's hope?! Is there anything you used or can recommend? Did it go away on it's own? When I exfoliate the dry crusty skin my cheeks weep like they've been burnt Confused I thought I'd left my bad skin days in my teenage years!
I had several creams and I really can't remember now what they were called. They didn't help me and I'd become a bit resigned to it. I had quite a few problems at the time, and when I radically changed my diet because of those other problems the rosacea disappeared.

I cut out all processed food all grains and many carbs and worked to improve my gut health. The diet I followed at the time was the SCD - but this was 10 years ago and I have been told it's quite old fashioned now. At the time it really helped me.
