Morning all. Sorry for the late start to the thread, but I slept in. Then hungry cats had to be fed before I could deal with this!

Anyway here's the spreadsheet for its penultimate outing

Hopefully all good news to report - but never fear, if last week hasn't been great, you still have a few days left to sort that.

Looks like it's going to be a more settled week weather-wise, and hopefully we really will be seeing more and more signs of spring to cheer us all up.

Here's to a great last week Flowers

Here you go @Elpheba:

Low carb Muffins

1 cup ground almond (100g)
1 tbsp (30g) very cold solid fat such as butter or plant butter.
Three medium eggs chilled.
1 generous tsp baking powder I use the individual sachets and it was the perfect amount

At this stage it can changed to be sweet muffins by adding in 2 tablespoons of sweetener with 1tsp vanilla extract

Or cheese muffins
60g or a large handful of cold grated mature cheddar and some Chopped chives.

Pre heat oven to 180. Prepare muffin tin with paper cups.
The next bit needs to be done swiftly so things don’t get to room temperature, it’s the shock of the oven that makes them rise well.

If you have a food processor, blitz the almond flour with the butter briefly until just mixed. Otherwise grate the butter into the almonds. Add all other ingredients and blitz until just mixed. Spoon into cases. This should do 4, but the cheese mix often makes 5 smaller ones.

It’s about 14 mins in the oven but might need a little longer.

They are best eaten cold as they don’t come out of the wrappers easily when warm.

Morning everyone,
@Justcallmecaptainobvious for your cod steaks how about the recipe I posted a few weeks ago - put them in an over proof dish, slice avocado on top, cover in grated cheese and then pour single cream over the top and bake for 20 minutes.
So please you found your earring, I hate losing jewelry, especially when it has a sentimental meaning.

Thank you for the pilates link x

Wish I'd found this before I forked out on private physio.
Just getting inspiration from you lot before I kick off my next effort[/quote]
Thank you. I was looking for something like this. Did it last night which emant my pain started this morning rather than this afternoon, but I expected that. Will plough through and throw in some AFWs. Hopefully swimming reopens soon, apparently back stroke is very good for strengthening core and preventing back pain.

RagzReturnsRebooted · 26/03/2021 11:35

@Justcallmecaptainobvious I save this recipe yesterday, I'm not keen on fish but we were given fresh pollock by a neighbour the to her day and needed a recipe. I need to eat more fish.

RagzReturnsRebooted · 26/03/2021 11:37

Oh I gave up on my planking challenge after 4 days because it gave me back pain. Which went but obviously is now back. April challenge will be to sort out my back with safer exercises, I'm hypermobile and tend to strain my back very easily when exercising because my joints aren't as stable as they should be, so I need to get my core and glutes strong enough to take the strain.

Today's earrings Grin shock horror Wink

They are from Christian Dior (costume jewellery obviously Wink) and I know that they are 23 years old Grin. I hunted for the "right" pair and my best friend (and matron of honour) came up to Glasgow to help Smile Decided against the matching necklace and not because of the expense Wink.

I've also attached a couple of pictures from my actual wedding (23 years ago in May) to show the earrings off being worn for their original purpose and also to show off the gorgeous dress that my mum made me Smile

Oh how wonderful! Such a beautiful bride! How great that your mum was able to make your dress for such a special day. How long was the earring lost for (I can’t remember if you said when you mentioned it before in the thread)?

My grandmother was a very good seamstress and used to make her own clothes. I guess lots of people from her generation would have done that. She made some beautiful dresses/outfits for my daughter’s barbies, too. I’m too much of a perfectionist to learn. 😔😔

Jollyholibobs · 26/03/2021 12:12

@prettybird so glad to hear the ear ring was found. Lovely wedding photos.

@nowlook I have persevered with my challenge to discard an item of clothing every day. Haven’t quite managed every day. Hope to have amassed 31 items for donation by end of month including some bras to a bra recycling charity. Today I am wearing a denim skirt which may still not be a keeper. If I go out will put on chunky platform shoes as length is a bit long for my height . DH likes it. Photo attached.

Also noted in recent trip to Waitrose tha the have a 10%fat Greek yoghurt from Greece. It’s delicious. Hoping it’s filling the gap Fage have left.

Well done on all the whooshes.

I’ve got some SLC hot cross buns. Yum. 1 eaten. 3 in the freezer.

prettybird · 26/03/2021 12:37

@Ninkanink - earring had been lost just for a couple of months, but dh and I had retraced our steps from our daily walk multiple times and I led also gone over my walk to the post box and newsagent - and I was still scanning for it every time I went for our walk.

@Jollyholibobs - could you shorten the skirt? Being denim, you could just hem it with a sewing machine in whatever colour the stretching currently is.

Jollyholibobs · 26/03/2021 12:55

@prettybird interesting suggestion. It would be really cute 100mm shorter. It’s quite stretchy which is important to be able to walk in it as it is narrows towards the hem. Risk is it goes to one side and I never get round to it.

Jollyholibobs · 26/03/2021 12:58

Pinned it up and added the shoes. Not sure.

StuntNun · 26/03/2021 13:45

No idea on the skirt length Jollyholibobs but nice legs!

FusionChefGeoff · 26/03/2021 14:40

@prettybird I appear to have something in my eye Smile what a wonderful story / picture / outcome.

Not much to report here although I'm trying lamb leg steaks for the first time this week - don't have an air fryer any suggestions??

L: mega smoked and hot smoked salmon salad with hm dressing, cuc, Tom, asparagus, hm coleslaw
D: leftover harvest - aubergine bake thing, cauli cheese, leeks

My latest loss is still showing so I'm hoping it will stay off until Monday!!

Ninkanink · 26/03/2021 14:44

I’d fry them in/on a griddle pan if you have one. Plenty of salt and pepper, tiny bit of oil, and not much else! Butter (or butter and garlic) on top whilst it’s resting. Yummy.

prettybird · 26/03/2021 14:57

@FusionChefGeoff - I agree with @Ninkanink but if you can be bothered, coat them in some olive oil (and maybe some lemon juice) and sprinkle with oregano in advance.

Ninkanink · 26/03/2021 14:58

Ohhh yes a bit of a Greek vibe would go so well.

I’m hungry...

Ninkanink · 26/03/2021 14:59

Might as well add a bit of garlic to the marinade!

venusandmars · 26/03/2021 15:29

Loving seeing the photos. @Jollyholibobs that shorter length skirt is 100 times better.

Had a long walk this morning, so big breakfast before I went
B - fried mushrooms, fried eggs, protein rye bread
L - spinach soup
D - slow cooked ham, broccoli with butter, few roast carrots, spiced red cabbage

venusandmars · 26/03/2021 15:30

@Ifeelmuchlessfat This BC has been good for me BUT last year every bc was dismal.

Just saying because I think we all have our time when the zone is right, the motivation is there, our bodies are responding, and things are happening.

The attached graph shows this bootcamp, and a couple of weeks before (NB I've only been recording losses, not any stalls or bounce back) .

HOWEVER, my next post tells a different story.

venusandmars · 26/03/2021 15:35

HOWEVER - This is the period since the start of lockdown which puts it into perspective...

You can see the number of times that I started bootcamp, lost a couple of pounds then carried on gaining.

And still a wee bit to go to get back to pre-lockdown weight.

Week 10 - Low Carb Bootcamp - the finishing line!
FusionChefGeoff · 26/03/2021 15:38

@Ninkanink and @prettybird thank you glad to know they can be pretty simple.

Gonna do a spud dauphinois for them and try a celeriac one for me. Then roasted Med veg and feta for me and freezer veg for them.

Can't wait already and we're not having it until Monday Grin

venusandmars · 26/03/2021 15:38

And at one point, just before Christmas, THIS was what my weight chart looked like.

Don't give up.

Week 10 - Low Carb Bootcamp - the finishing line!
FusionChefGeoff · 26/03/2021 15:40

Wow @venusandmars you've smashed this one haven't you that's a brilliant loss.

Fascinating to see the before journey but I'd definitely focus on your first picture - what a result.

FusionChefGeoff · 26/03/2021 15:42

I think mine would look like that pre bc but I just exist in blissful denial and stop weighing when I'm not taking care of myself so there's usually just one huge long straight line up to the point when I decide to do something about it GrinGrin
