Hi everyone,
@jengacupboard, that soup sounds lovely. I may make a pot tomorrow. 3lbs off for me this week and I am delighted. Really getting into the swing of three lots of 25 hour fasts on my days when I am in school. Saves so much faff packing lunches, then a delicious, indulgent dinner. The only thing I am missing is citrus. I had one slice of ds's orange after dinner tonight, sooo nice. My Easter treat is going to be a slice of the Nigella clementine and almond cake. Have good evenings all Grin

Ugh @FusionChefGeoff mine are also done although I didn’t feel like it at all!

Quite hungover today. Only managed a 20 minute run, two-thirds of my normal distance. Weirdly bloated today. I felt like a little balloon on legs.

Food:
Breakfast - raspberries, 2 x creamy coffee, herring and cottage cheese
Lunch - skipped in favour of an early dinner
Dinner - leftover rolled lamb breast with Bombay cauliflower ‘mash’, sag paneer and more cottage cheese

@cheeseisthebest on my watch, i have a move exercise and stand rings. I have to move and burn 750 active calories to close my move ring, exercise that raises my heart rate for 30 mins to close the exercise ring, and stand and move around for 2 minutes every hour for 12 hours to close the stand one.

My challenge is to close all three every day for the month of march Smile

@Lyrata and @Jollyholibobs . Thanks so much for your congratulations.

Maintenance is such an incredibly new prospect for me. First, yes I am investing in some lovely clothes for summer.

I feel like going mad and eating loads of high carb foods . But, I'm not. I'm glad to be able to come on here and stay connected with you all whilst I experiment these "Shadowlands"Grin

Looking forward to seeing you down here soon. SmileWink

You could roast them fairly quickly? Just not full on confit.

We are experiencing an enormous quantity of pork in our house. Saturday's pork belly was a vast joint that we ate a small amount of. Yesterday's lunch was a pre-ordered wood-fired pork loin, which even the five of us didn't finish. So we have a fridge full of pork. Wednesday night's planned dinner is pork chops, so there's pork forecast too. Lucky we like it!

Thanks for your responses.. re the soup I’m glad at least that’s permitted, and I should add I blended it at the end...

Fruit teabags and cucumber I can definitely do, and the lack of artificial sweetener makes more sense as I now see that there are actual relatable reasons for this.

The lack of carbs in terms of bread/pasta etc doesn’t bother me at all but the fact that low carbing is so much more in depth is becoming very apparent. However it is working, despite my slight deviations, and knowledge is power and all that.. the discipline I can do, but I must admit the constant requirement at least at this early stage for consideration and planning of food is for me the hard part.

Typically after a long driving day like today dinner would be crunchy nut cornflakes or cheese on toast... not any more!! :)

Well done everyone on your losses and commiserations to those who gained. I am somehow 2lbs up overnight? I weighed myself on Sunday and had sts so I am going with that one. I don't think I've been eating enough fat, husband has been cooking so added a lot of butter to my food today.

B: scrambled eggs backn and mushrooms
D: steak, asparagus, broccoli and two tablespoons of tomato mozzarella salad.
S: Greek yoghurt and raspberries

Two cups of tea with cream.
All the water.

I am hugely, massively prepared for big stick. I have just had pasta for tea. We had loads of leftover creamy mushroom tagliatelle and it saved me cooking.
Well now my stomach is doing all sorts of gurgling and I feel like I havent eaten a thing. Bad bad me. Angry

Also I signed up for sea swimming lessons I need to fit into my wetsuit for May! Which is extra motivation.

Report
Bestbees · 01/03/2021 19:49

@BustleInYourHedgerow are you near the sea? We are about 45mins away and have a place by the sea and cannot wait to get back in. Sure you will be fab in your wetsuit.

Delia's chicken was delicious, definely worth a go and bootcamp friendly.

@cheeseisthebest run and hide! I wonder if an occasional slip helps us know what is and isn't worth it for us. Take what you can leanr from it and move forwards.

@JengaCupboard you just need to work out some new quick staples which are as speedy as cheese on toast. For me I’ll always have the ingredients available for one of: little gem lettuce leaves spread with cream cheese and topped with ham or smoked salmon, mushrooms fried in butter with Boursin melted on top (plus a rasher of bacon), or spring greens and a piece of chicken sautéed in masses of butter.

I'm not glad, but I also sort of am, that I'm not the only one whose had the odd slip-up.

Makes me feel less rubbish.

I've slipped up much less than usual, though. This WOE is so satisfying!

It was laziness really, I'm fed up with cooking so many different meals. I cooked the tagliatelle yesterday and wasnt even for me, obviously!
Pasta totally messes up my blood sugar, I am now starving!!

@cheeseisthebest I had chips carbs for dinner on my birthday and I was starving all evening!

I've not done any wild/sea swimming (at least, not for over 40 years since I used to swim in the Atlantic off the beaches on Tiree and never understood why my parents were never so keen to go in the water Wink) but as a poor substitute for the health benefits, I've started to finish off my shower with turning off the hot water and seeing how long I can last under the cold....

I've got up to a whole 45 seconds ShockBlush

I was 1.5 lbs up overnight too. Sighhh. Feel completely worn out at the moment, not food related, just feel very meh. Felt worse since Boris's announcement for some reason. Ah well! Tomorrow is a new day.

Lunch was scrambled eggs and avocado, dinner was a freezer meal of butter paneer with mushrooms and red pepper as couldn't be bothered cooking.

Found you!

Checking in with a 3 and a half pound loss. Feels good as I've had a couple of weeks of no cheating since that Valentine's Day chocolate mousse so it's great to see the results. Rings closed for me too @ListenLinda. One down and 30 to go!

@kilojules you look bloody amazing. Massive inspiration!

@prettybird that's a great way of thinking about it. The time will pass regardless so I'd better use it well.

Well done @WitchWand, brilliant loss and good luck navigating maintenance....

@ChristMyArse very glad to hear the stand off is over. One month is an epic stand off! Enjoy the peace

Glad you had a good evening @BIWI and thanks for the support @MilesJuppIsMyBitch . Lesson learned on the fat bashing threads.

@OverweightPidgeon I find water a bit easier when it's room temperature rather than properly cold.

Jenga it gets much easier with time. I've been eating this way since 2013 and it's been second nature for most of that time. All my internalised recipes have been low carbified and I'm used to shopping for this way of eating. My DCs asked me to make lasagne for them at the weekend and I had to look up the recipe because it's just not on my radar any more. I used to make it all the time as well. I love lasagne but DH refuses to try a version with courgette pasta. He hates courgetti as well. It's odd because we both love courgettes and eat them all the time... just not as a pasta replacement. Anyway stick with it and it will soon become not a diet, but just the way you eat now.

Hello everyone!!

Hope y'all are ok?

I fasted all day and then had scouse with SLCR for dinner followed by some Greek yoghurt with almond butter Smile

I'm currently feeling sorry for myself, have an ear infection in both ears, so oody is on and I'm rolling about on the sofa making DH and DS take care of me! Bless DS is only 3 and had so much more empathy than his father!!

prettybird · 01/03/2021 20:32

Stuntnun - I make a lasagne (my mum's brilliant recipe didn't use a Bechamel sauce anyway - just ricotta/cottage cheese mixed with beaten egg, mozzarella and Parmesan) suitable for everyone by doing one half/two thirds layered with lasagne pasta sheets and the remainder mine all mine Wink layered with thinly sliced diagonal medallions of courgette Grin

Hope you feel better ZiggZagg. Ear infections are horrible x
Greek yoghurt with almond butter sounds nice, just had the last of my greek yoghurt. Although realised its greek style yogurt not greek yoghurt, what's the difference?

Thanks to everyone for the lovely comments about my before and after. I am actually 22lbs heavier in the after photo so don't look like that at the moment! Just trying to motivate myself to koko as weight loss has stalled a bit.

Some fab losses this week which is encouraging.

@Cactusowl over a stone loss well done!!
@Ninkanink I would love to get to 69kg! Even though my healthy BMI is 66 and below I would be happy under 70 I think.

@Dailyhandtowelwash sorry to hear weight is slow coming off? are you close to goal weight?
I'm clinging to my clothes fitting better as well.

@Frty allotment digging is defo good work out. I’d love one! so far I’ve just managed parsley and rosemary in a corner of the garden that the dog keeps chewing/trying to pee on grr

@BIWI sounds like such a fun celebration with your family. Life is for living

Thanks to @fusionchefgeoffs post about sugar in co-op Mayo I looked at the Hellman’s bottle and sure enough-sugar AND starch! So off to make my own. Did me a favour actually as it was so tasty and easy (might have accidentally licked entire tablespoons). Making my own from now on.

Lunch: Pyrex full of left over veg from yesterday
With butter and prawns. Small pot Alpro coconut yoghurt.
Dinner: large portion of Grilled chicken and salad.

Does anyone else eat the erm "derrière" on the chicken? Blush

What does shoogled mean meanwhile?
