1stMrsF I've got the opposite problem - too much food in the house. Plus a freezer that is stuffed full of soup and a few unidentified things where the labels have fallen off plus the challenge of my Brexit stockpile, which was of necessity laden with pulses.
Then there's the difficulty of using up all the more carby veg in the veg box. So today I made a huge pan of lentil, carrot and tomato soup for dh. He'll have to have it for lunch every day
I think I'm going to cancel my veg box for next week and we'll eat our way through the soup.
Food today:
B - coffee with cream, and a spoonful of dh's lentil soup I couldn't resist and of course I had to taste it for seasoning
L - (zoom lunch with friends) smoked salmon, cream cheese, cucumber, on protein rye bread (4g carb), coleslaw, salad. Then a few raspberries and cream
D - the Delia chicken and spices, which is marinating now. With cabbage and courgette 'rice'
I rubbed the marinade all over the chicken, then cleaned my hands in the washing up sink. Then carried on with soup making etc. Problem was that the marinade has loads of turmeric and by the time I emptied the water out, my lovely white Corian sink was stained yellow
. Impromptu clean of the kitchen required!
