Morning campers!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to confess all

We're half way through now. Hopefully by now we should all be getting used to a low carb way of eating, which will mean we should be fat-adapted.

I hope you've enjoyed the recipe challenges, and I really look forward to reading more recipes.

I especially hope that the challenge has lured the lurkers out! Please post your recipes!

And, of course, here's hoping that we all have a good week ahead

Yeah, the yoga is appealing to me as well. You get to sit down for that one, right?

venusandmars · 27/02/2021 08:43

Another nice day here, so planning to spend some time in the garden.

Brunch: bacon, scrambled eggs, fried mushrooms
D - various low carb tapas...

nowlook · 27/02/2021 08:48

I really want raclette today, thanks to an article I've just read. I can just taste it with celeriac roasties wrapped in streaky bacon and a big green dressed salad.

I have neither the cheese nor the equipment Sad

ShagMeRiggins · 27/02/2021 08:57

mowlook that’s so funny—we’re having racketeering this evening!

prettybird · 27/02/2021 09:00

Brilliant progress @FusionChefGeoff Smile , this WoE really does work Grin

But sorry to be the bearer of bad news: if you are within the 1st two weeks of Boot Camp, you can't have the almond/cheese muffins yet Shock No nuts allowed in the initial 2 weeks - and that includes ground almonds Sad

Ninkanink · 27/02/2021 09:04

Welcome out of Lurkdom @Footfaffing! 🌷

Congratulations on the whoosh @FusionChefGeoff! 🎉

Those of you who have a hard time with seemingly static weight loss (if focused on scales only), and also those who have a long way to go to get to target, I hope that @RagzReturnsRebooted’s fantastic photos have demonstrated to you what a fab strategy the weekly photo session is - long term it gives you such a boost to be able to look over the series of photos and see actual, physical evidence of how well it’s really going and how far you’ve come. Don’t be tempted to cover up the podge, though! (And don’t call it ugly. Be a little kinder to yourself💐). Take photos that will show maximum progress (in other words, show some skin!😉).

🎉🎉🎉 to everyone that’s had a whoosh or finally seen movement on the scales!

💐💐💐 to everyone that’s keeping the faith and KOKO! It will come.

Oh, I can manage racketeering Shag. It's just cheese I'm short of. Grin
Ninkanink · 27/02/2021 09:12

Haha bootcamp racketeering! It’s an exciting life we lead...

Doilooklikeatourist · 27/02/2021 09:19

Oh goodness @nowlook now I want celariac roasties wrapped in bacon

@BIWI I have the same question as @VeryLittleOwl with the Ubercamp menu

A plank challenge app has been downloaded , 7 minutes a day ... we’ll see

Doilooklikeatourist · 27/02/2021 09:27

And the plank challenge app has been deleted ... £58.99 a year ... no thanks

1stMrsF · 27/02/2021 09:30

Morning. Too much wine last night SadIn the cold light of day I can see that I was 'thirsty drinking' but why don't I ever see it at the time? So stupid because a) will impact weight loss b) I feel rubbish today and c) I made a bit of a tit of myself on a work zoom social Confused so I'm feeling a bit down.

I am currently half way through Adriene's 30 Day challenge from January, albeit it's taken me all of February to get that far. I was really enjoying it but ran out of steam this week, so I will join your 30 day challenge by doing Yoga or some other form of exercise everyday, as this is a good way to raise my mood without reaching for the bottle.

Ninkanink · 27/02/2021 09:34

@1stMrsF 🌼🌷🌺

Is there anything you can keep in the house to have as a treat/relaxation drink when you don’t want to have wine? My drink of choice for times like that is a good tonic, Angostura bitters, a slice of lemon/lime/orange and lots of ice.

StuntNun · 27/02/2021 09:44

Doilooklikeatourist the plank challenge I use is free.

1stMrsF · 27/02/2021 09:50

Thank you @Ninkanink I'll have a think about that - it's certainly braking the habit that's more than half the battle.

Doilooklikeatourist · 27/02/2021 09:56

Thanks @StuntNun , I’ve installed that one now , ready for Monday

FusionChefGeoff · 27/02/2021 10:03

@prettybird

Thank you!!!!! I just got the food processor out, phew that would have been annoying otherwise. I shall look forward to then more as a celebration once kids are back in school Grin

I've got this coconut yoghurt half eaten from BBC (before boot camp!) is it OK or should I try to palm it off on the kids?

Week 6 Low CarbBootcamp - the second half
ZiggZagg · 27/02/2021 10:06

I am totally up for an exercise challenge!! I'll have a little look at some and throw my idea out there to keep me accountable!

Planning a simple food day today as I'm so tired-

L SLCR with a fried egg and mushrooms
D Homemade burgers and FLGV

Need to make a bit more effort with water as haven't been too fussed with it this week Blush

Ninkanink · 27/02/2021 10:09

@1stMrsF it definitely helps me - I don’t routinely drink it, so that it feels special when I do have it, that way I get the habit-driven relation vibe from it just like I would with wine or other alcohol.

prettybird · 27/02/2021 10:09

I would say the carbs in that are too high. Plus, looking at the ingredients, cornflour and potato starch are too high. They must each be more than 1.1% Shock

It's not the fact that it's "coconut" because coconut oil is encouraged. (The ATC brand is good - and cheap Wink It can be found in the ethnic aisle of large supermarkets or at local Asian supermarkets.).

ZiggZagg · 27/02/2021 10:22

I have found this app which doesn't look too tiring! Will start today though as will forget by Monday!Grin

StuntNun · 27/02/2021 11:34

I'm going to attempt the ratatouille recipe someone shared earlier. I've never made it before, can anyone tell me whether I would be better off slicing the courgette and aubergine using the Magimix food processor or a mandoline slicer?

Ninkanink · 27/02/2021 11:42

I just sliced it thinly with a kitchen knife and it came out beautifully.

Someone previously (lost track of the comment so don’t know who) credited & thanked me for sharing it, but I didn’t do so! I can’t remember who submitted it...

Ninkanink · 27/02/2021 11:43

£59 a year for something you can follow on a piece of paper taped to the fridge door Shock Shock
