Morning campers!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to confess all

We're half way through now. Hopefully by now we should all be getting used to a low carb way of eating, which will mean we should be fat-adapted.

I hope you've enjoyed the recipe challenges, and I really look forward to reading more recipes.

I especially hope that the challenge has lured the lurkers out! Please post your recipes!

And, of course, here's hoping that we all have a good week ahead

Thanks @StuntNun and @Jollyholibobs. Good to know what expectations should be.

I certainly don't need times to be good - apart maybe from a mental positivity perspective. I'm training for a fake race date!

I usually run fasted up to about 7/8 miles then I'd have something before I went out.

Maybe I'll try the long run very slow and without breakfast but taking gels for emergency then. If that's a disaster I'll add a mini shake next time.

nowlook · 26/02/2021 22:32

Crikey. All this running talk has quite exhausted me.

I might dig out the old Tae Bo vhs for our challenge. Those were the days.

Lovely to see the scales starting to move for those who have been unjustly stuck for a while Thanks

Oneborneverydecade · 26/02/2021 23:15

'I’m also going to wear something different every day'
Edited it for you @Lyrata Grin

I'm sure I had that Tae Bo VHS too

kilojules · 27/02/2021 05:17

@nowlook you cracked me up! Grin

kilojules · 27/02/2021 05:22

Well done to all those training for races!
I've not been able to get back to running even 10k's yet. Runs still quite slow even though mostly 5k-6k. I run fasted as well or after work. Tried some full fat farmers cheese the other day before a run didint make a difference. Hoping it will get better with time.

kilojules · 27/02/2021 05:26

@RagzReturnsRebooted wow at the progress pic! Such a difference. I so take pics always cover my podge as it's so ugly! Post c-section overhang on top of being hugs!
I'm thinking i might take a couple just for future motivation!

kilojules · 27/02/2021 05:31

@BIWI I'm same! I used to be able to do 2min planks but can barely get through 30secs now!
Terrible how fitness has dropped.
I know that particular challenge is quite a tough one.
I'm happy to change it to something different. And it can be arms/legs/booty/planks/abs whatever. Maybe we could pick a couple of options- from the main groups and people can chose the challenge (s) they want?

kilojules · 27/02/2021 05:32

@FusionChefGeoff

Thank you to everyone who's ever posted a recipe - I now have 3 pages of options which I think I can make work for all family without too much extra fuss and can see me getting into a new swing quite quickly!

Meal plan done up until next weekend but too late for the online shop so that will be the first job tomorrow.

My horrible stuffy head / fatigue seems to have lifted today so I'm hoping that's my withdrawal done Grin

Do share your page be nice to have it all in one place! Smile
kilojules · 27/02/2021 05:36

@NotwatchingSpooks and @cheeseisthebest well done on your losses! Cheese 10.2 is my goal weight! I dream of it everyday haha

kilojules · 27/02/2021 05:42

@StuntNun

If anyone decides to do a 30-Day Challenge I recommend finding a good app to support it. I've been using this Plank Challenge app for a while and it's very good and completely customisable. I'm currently halfway through a 30-day plank challenge to increase my plank time from two minutes to two and a half minutes. That's only adding one second a day! The app reminds me each day if I haven't done the challenge yet and it has a timer. Also my DH swears by this Abs Workout app which is also very customisable so you can set it to your personal level of ability and focus on which areas are most important to you.

BIWI do you remember one Autumn Bootcamp a couple of years ago we had a 30-Day Challenge for the month of November where everyone set their own, non-weight loss-related challenge? Mine was to wear naice clothes every day as I had found that working from home meant I was slobbing round in old scruffy stuff all the time. Maybe we could do something like that again for March?

Great idea on the app stuntnun! I normally cross mine off daily on paper. I did download a 30 fitness one which looked good to find it was free for the first week then £4,90 per week after Hmm no thanks! Will look around for others
kilojules · 27/02/2021 05:44

@venusandmars

Worth going out for...
Beautiful! We had same on our sea front. Was running past should've stopped to take a pic!
kilojules · 27/02/2021 05:48

@StuntNun

Wowee Ragz those are some fab progress photos. I wish I had a before photo but I didn't take any as I was avoiding the camera at that point. I do have a great after photo of me holding a 15kg bag of dog food to show how much weight I had lost.

There are so many great recipes aren't there Geoff? I've had so many new foods to try lately. The cheese almond muffins are a big hit here, we're having cheeseburger pie tonight, and I'm going to try making the ratatouille tomorrow to have with ribeye steak

That challenge looks like torture Kilojules! Also I thought sit ups were bad now and we should do crunches instead? I don't think I could even do a single sit up! I can only do them if I can put my feet under the sofa to anchor them!

Go hard or go home! Lol! I too do the sit ups with feet propped under sofa. I've done this twice in the past and totally cheated through the sit up bit!! If back issues I would skip them completely. It's quite effective that one defo good for abs.
kilojules · 27/02/2021 05:50

@Bestbees yes let's start 1 March! Kind of excited how. Need to get some extra in for that ultimate loss by June. Mu-ha-ha (makes muscle sign)

kilojules · 27/02/2021 06:06

30 day fitness challenge in March. Let's get fitter!
Take measurements before and after.
Pick a challenge (Or two or 3 if you're feeling particularly fit Wink)
Break it up if too much- am and pm.

Check in daily with a Done ✅

I'll post a couple I've found (some which I've done before) feel free to find a different one or download an app or adapt to suit you.

kilojules · 27/02/2021 06:07

ListenLinda · 27/02/2021 06:27

I was debating my challenge but i’m going for it if you all are :)
Mine is to close my move, exercise and stand rings on my watch every day for the month of march. I last closed my exercise ring in October 😳
Food was good yesterday but too many coffees and not enough water.
Will have to think of other exercises to do indoors depending on how long we have to self isolate for.
Every time we’ve had to test either us or the kids the results have come back the next day, so hoping we get something today!

ouchmyfeet · 27/02/2021 06:54

I'm going to do the same @ListenLinda. I often manage 2 of the 3 but it will be a real challenge to do all 3 on a consistent basis. For me it will mean going for a walk every. single. day... hopefully that will be easier now it's a bit lighter after work

ListenLinda · 27/02/2021 07:21

It’s been hard hasn’t it @ouchmyfeet. The weather has been terrible and had no motivation to do anything exercise wise.
Wfh i can easily do a youtube exercise video or even walk around the estate to get steps in too.

Footfaffing · 27/02/2021 07:55

Hello all I've been lurking around here recently and low carbing along with you all and am feeling very inspired especially as I'm really noticing results and my stomach has gone from sticking out a lot to just sticking out a bit!

The very low carb bread recommended on here has been a complete game changer for me as bread's the thing I really missed and now I have a couple of loaves in the freezer and can have bread whenever I want I don't feel as obsessed with it.

I used to low carb years ago and did really well with it but had been faffing and doing it half heartedly for a while (and cheating with real bread) and not getting any results but now I'm doing it 100% properly again and it's really working I feel amazing and my constant gnawing hunger is gone.

Yesterday for lunch (and dinner) I had lettuce wraps with chinese mince pork and nut stir fry and it was the most delicious thing I'd ever eaten. I honestly could eat that meal every night and the fact I wake up without a bloated stomach is the icing on the cake.

Anyway I was just delurking to say thank you!

VeryLittleOwl · 27/02/2021 07:57

I've been a bit of a carby twat this week - lots and lots of physical hard work, I've ached all over and then I had to go into town on Wednesday to pick up a feed order for the horses and sheep and had a fuckit moment in Tesco and scoffed about 2000 calories of crap in the car park. Finally got the scales back to where I started on Monday this morning, so I have the weekend to try and shift a bit more!

BIWI - I have a question about the Ubercamp tab on the spreadsheet. Is the 'with meat and eggs' menu missing? It starts with the shopping list for that menu, but the next column is the menu for 'with meat, without eggs'.

AthelstaneTheUnready · 27/02/2021 08:08

Hokay... I'm in with the challenge. I did the Adriene 30 day yoga series in January and loved it. Was the highlight of my day.

And then I just stopped, despite planning to carry on. So I'm going to do an every-day-with-Adriene in March. Whether that's new stuff she posts, an old series, or just picking random videos.

FusionChefGeoff · 27/02/2021 08:15

Oh. My. God.

Feeling good, little morning trip to the loo. Thought I'd have a sneaky look at the scales which I've not done since I started BC last week....

5 lbs off!!!!!!!!!!!

Whaaaaaaaat??????!!!!!

This is madness. I've eaten the best part of half a bottle of Mayo, all the cheese, fry ups, creamy delicious curries and sauces.....

I was sure that my overall calories were sky high plus I haven't got tonnes and tonnes to lose so couldn't possibly expect the same weight loss I'd seen on the Jan thread.

But there you go. Moved the scales. Weighed twice. Yup. 5lbs down!!!

I am totally re-motivated (felt a bit deprived of my habitual Friday might chocolate binge yesterday) and now skipping off to the butchers to stock up and whipping up a batch of those almond / cheese scones!!

nowlook · 27/02/2021 08:19

I've never, ever done yoga (or pilates or any exercise class at all). Is it suitable for a complete novice Athelstane?
