Week 4 - Low Carb Bootcamp - how much chatting?!

So much chatting, I've had to start a new thread.

here's the Spreadsheet of Absolute Fabulousness

Remember, this week (like week 3) is notorious for seeing little or no weight gain, so please don't panic if the scales aren't moving for you - always assuming, of course, that you have been following the rules 100%!

Also, the Very Amazing @StuntNun has started a thread about fasting. Fasting isn't a regular part of Bootcamp, but it's a tool that you can use in your weight loss 'journey' (sorry for the cliché!)

have a look here, and think about if it's something you might want to incorporate into Bootcamp

I hope very much that things are going well for you, and that you're into the swing of things low carb by now; but as ever, post any questions/issue here and let's see if we can help.

@Lyrata would love the recipe for your ramen, looks great.

@venusandmars that looks epic!

Have eaten badly today, all allowed but random and not enough veg etc as feeling so rough. Makes me super keen to get back on it. Therefore Mon to Fri will be back on strict bootcamp. I know I will feel better for it. Will focus on green veg and water for sure. Been thirsty and bloated all day today. Still. Should be pleased I didn't feed my hangover with toast and crisps as I would have in the past.

Plan for tomorrow.
B if hungry- eggs in butter with spinach.
L creamy mushroom soup with shredded ham. Prob need to add more veg so might add spinach here too.
D lamb tagine, swede mash and kale/red cabbage.
3l water.

What are people planning on pancake day? Kids want three meals of pancakes (porridge ones with jam for breakfast, American style with bacon for lunch and pea pancakes with sausages for tea!) thinking I will have omelette and bacon at lunch. Have seen some low carb pancakes but wonder if they are worth it.

@Howdidthathappen1 My DH is slowly being converted to low carb. He loves celeriac!

@Bestbees I am going to try the cream cheese pancake recipe that someone (StuntNun?) posted. As it's just cream cheese and eggs, DD can have them too! More importantly, what are you going to put on the pancakes?

Bestbees · 14/02/2021 21:47

@Hopeislost I prefer savoury (love love love galettes with egg, ham and cheese and a dressed green salad!) it sure the cream cheese ones would work as they are sweet I think? Might fry an egg and stick in on some ham and cheese to achieve the effect!

Evening all.

Well today I've had 3 magic stars and one small piece of a mini egg chocolate bar. Not great but currently very stressed as still living in the middle of a standoff - (it's been two weeks now) and I feel quite glum at times. Quite pleased it wasn't more as have run out of yarn to keep my hands busy.

I'm hoping weigh in tomorrow is kind. Apart from the above I had
Bacon, egg and sausage this morning and steak with cherry tomatoes and cabbage salad for dinner.

Feel like downing 4 bottles of wine but shall refrain begrudgingly

I hope you all had a lovely day ❤️

Are you ok @Christmyarse? Sorry you're having a rough time of it. I'm also feeling like falling on a bottle or two of wine. Going to try and hold on until Friday.

@Oneborneverydecade and @Lyrata thank you, I should concentrate on the plus point that it was low carb but I’m really trying to curb my overeating/comfort eating as well as lose weight. Baby steps I suppose, and learn from it...I’m taking it that it’s too soon for me to have any chocolate in the house, low carb or not!

ChristMyArse · 15/02/2021 05:25

@BustleInYourHedgerow thank you - I am ok!

I've read my post back and it reads far more depressingly than how I heard it in my head when I wrote it Grin

Thanks for checking though 💐
