This Bootcamp has gone crazy! I'm very hopeful that means that the results on the scales/with the tape measure etc will have been positive.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I love this week. For so many, it's a total vindication as well as complete reassurance that this WOE really works!

I hope, very much, that the scales are kind to you and look forward to hearing everyone's progress.

Ok thanks @BIWI noted!

@cheeseisthebest I’ve been wondering what sweet things will taste like after so long without. This is the longest I’ve not had chocolate before ever! And for 2 weeks before this I was only having 75% dark chocolate so can’t imagine a Mars bar.

cheeseisthebest · 29/01/2021 20:20

In a way I'm glad I did it. It has removed all future temptation. If I have finally broken my chocolate habit that really would be an achievement.

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 29/01/2021 20:22

Congratulations @ListenLinda Thanks

ZiggZagg · 29/01/2021 20:24

Evening everyone!

I hope today has been good to you all.

@ListenLinda that's good news! Buy yourself something smaller to fit into Grin

L today was tuna mayo, boiled eggs and babybels (I know, no veg but ran out of food and not getting a delivery until tomorrow)

D was chicken and lamb kebab with lots of salad and some Greek yoghurt.

Still need to drink about 1l of water before I go to bed, may have a peppermint tea too.

cheeseisthebest · 29/01/2021 20:25

That's great news listenlinda! Love your username too.

After I went totally sugar-free for several months a few years ago, I really can’t eat most chocolate. I think it’s got sweeter too, but my tastes are so different.
StuntNun · 29/01/2021 20:28

Dailyhandtowelwash coffee shop milk alternatives usually have sugar in. Some places will give you "pouring cream" instead of milk, I'm pretty sure Costa do at least.

Dailyhandtowelwash · 29/01/2021 20:34

I thought it was too sweet. This is a little independent place so doubt they’d have cream unfortunately.

nowlook · 29/01/2021 20:43

@Bestbees I like these TUNA pots (but watch out 'cos some of the varieties are higher in sugar. The bail one and the lemon one are fine. Sardines though, I just discard the oil. I think there is enough oil in the fish itself.

Interesting discussions about weight loss and boob size. I seem to lose weight from the top down - face first, then boobs. My tummy is last of all. So I have a weird phase when I've got a thin face, small boobs (which I am very happy with!), slim legs, and still a wee barrel tummy in the middle.

On Brexit and shortages, our local supermarkets have all the normal veg etc, but no bird seed or bird nuts.

OH and yes, spring is on its way, and today I saw my first crop of properly flowering snowdrops.

On the turnip swede recipes. My favourite is thinly sliced turnip with shallot, cabbage, a ton of butter, cheese and mustard, cooked slowly in the oven. Sort of like a turnip dauphinoise...

@CisMyArse for duck, I rub chinese 5 spice into the scored skin, fry skin side down, then remove from pan and roast. In the pan I then fry: shallot, peppers, broccoli, pak choi, ginger, garlic, soy....

@MilesJuppIsMyBitch interesting about the hormonal / generation link. I read this recently: Women are born with all the eggs they will ever produce, so when your grandmother was growing your mother, your mother was growing the egg that later became you. and this picture was with it.
mother / daughter / grandchild blood of my blood, bone of my bone and all that...

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 29/01/2021 21:39

Sainsbury's had courgettes today. And big cauliflower!

LostaraYil · 29/01/2021 21:39

Ooh Brassica, that looks sooo crunchy! Full review, please.
Lunch today was scrambled eggs, tomatoes and avocado. DS and DH wanted Chinese takeaway this evening so I had 1/4 crispy duck with just the cucumber, spring onions and extra salad, no pancakes or hoisin sauce. I hope that's ok. I can manage this WOE much better if I can still have takeaway once a week!

venusandmars · 29/01/2021 21:40

Apologies for mega post of random replies. The end of a busy day with grandchildren - feet up at last. We walked for 5 or 6 miles.

B - embarking on fasting, had creamy coffee at 11.30am
L - ham and veg soup, sausage and kidney casserole with FLGV
D - left over veg with left over 'BIWI's amazing cheese sauce', fried egg

Now off for a sleepytime tea.. zzz...zz..z

cheeseisthebest · 29/01/2021 21:51

I've ordered the bread, thank you!

Venusandmars I love that picture. I never knew my mums mum so feels very powerful.

ListenLinda · 29/01/2021 21:51

Buying an item in a smaller size is a great idea! 😁

Oneborneverydecade · 29/01/2021 22:16

@cheeseisthebest I ordered my bread on the 24th and it's still not here Sad

L: celeriac soup with extra butter and crispy bacon
D: spiced cauliflower with spinach from the Abel and Cole website
S: Leon chicken dipped in mayo
4ltrs water and black tea

Oneborneverydecade · 29/01/2021 22:17

@BrassicaBabe it looks delicious, how did it taste?

Bestbees · 29/01/2021 22:34

Thank you everyone for comments about oil and tinned fish. Ended up using a tin of tuna in brine from the back of the cupboard! Will drain oily fish before eating 😊

ChristMyArse · 29/01/2021 23:27

I can't keep up with this thread! I thought I'd done well bookmarking at 17.05 but no, about 100 more posts since then it looks like 😁 I'll catch up tomorrow (again)

Today has been
B Greek yog and cinnamon
L friend pork with shredded courgette (apologies to all those struggling to obtain it!)
D steak and buttered mushrooms.

No cream today - am impressed that I was able to go the whole day 😁

flossiegrippiter · 30/01/2021 04:07

Does anyone know how breastfeeding affects weight loss? Does the body hold onto any fluid or fat that it wouldn't normally?

Bestbees · 30/01/2021 07:37

Morning all.
@flossiegrippiter I don't k ow officially but I imagine it makes a difference. I breast fed twins and I lost basically all pregnancy weight fast. However that last bit was in my boobs! If you weigh in the morning surely they are full of milk. I would take care about weight loss when bf as you want to stay well and keep supply up. It probably depends on how much weight you have to loose too. I would focus on lots of healthy low carb food. Tell us more about how old the baby is/how much you have to lose and it might effect the advice!
