Morning all.

We've completed our ten weeks - and I can see from the Spreadsheet just how well it's gone!

But just because the ten weeks are up, doesn't mean we have to stop. So here's a bright, shiny new chat thread for us to keep chatting and supporting each other.

Ahhhh I feel like I am back with close friends who really get me and I, them! Thanks, as always, BIWI for the time and effort you put into this!

I am loving the ease-in week, it’s perfect for me as I often need at least a week to get myself into the zone for a boot camp. Tier 1 Grin Grin

Haven’t really overindulged all that much over Christmas, except on alcohol. But have had bread/rice/pasta as a matter of course 1 or 2 times a week for about 5 months now, so the apple belly has come back to an extent...

BrassicaBabe · 02/01/2021 16:40

My BC resolution will be "more veg". I need to stop the reliance on pepperami.

venusandmars · 02/01/2021 17:05

Thanks to pp for recipe suggestions.

Tonight is spinach soup (made with the delicious turkey stock) and then cauliflower buffalo wings... I've been looking forward to them for days but there were other things that needed to be eaten up first.

Love this. Bit anxious for jan bootcamp as this one was insanely busy at the start and January is notorious for new starters in hoards (all welcomed of course!) But I get overwhelmed easily on busy threads and like feeling familiar with regular posters like now..

I don't think I'll get to target in the next bootcamp as it's still best part of 2st so probably a bit unrealistic at this point but 🤞

Oneborneverydecade · 02/01/2021 17:42

I can't wait to get started. I want to say goodbye to 12st and hit 4st lost in Jan bootcamp. I didn't go mad over Christmas but my determination has definitely weakened. Plus I have a sore throat atm and that always makes me hungry.

I should probably attempt a 0 to 5k but it's just so cold out there 🥶

One born, lets do it together!!

Although i just went to check what 178 is to see how many lbs away from 11st 13 I am and I'm confused... i thought i was 175/12.7 on dec17th down from 177/12.9, but I've just put into the lb to st. Converter and its saying 178 is 12 st 7, but the scales are converting 175 to 12st 7 on the app its attached to? (Scales weigh lbs then it shows on phone in stones)

I was 178 this AM
how much do i weigh!? 🤣

Takingontheflab · 02/01/2021 18:45

Sorry, that was confusing. Anyone get my drift? 🤣

Takingontheflab · 02/01/2021 18:47

Ok i used a different converter and apparently 178 is 12st 10... so i must have been 12.7 before xmas which makes sense as I'd gained 7lbs over xmas and lost 4lb this week.

My head hurts.

Further from 11s than realised, sad times!

BIWI · 02/01/2021 18:48

You weigh 12 stone 10. HTH!

StuntNun · 02/01/2021 18:55

Taking you're a lot closer to the 11s than you were this time last year. Onwards and downwards!

Takingontheflab · 02/01/2021 20:51

That is true! Lets goooo 🙌 ready to smash this

Has anyone seen the perfectly timed piece in the guardian today about Keto... won’t be able to get your hands on an avocado for love not money...Grin

I have a rare treat of roast beef for Sunday lunch today - not something I can usually afford but silverside was cheap in Asda before Christmas. Fingers crossed it will be lovely and tender and not tough as old boots like the beef I remember from my childhood!

BrassicaBabe · 03/01/2021 12:58

Salmon, buttered savoy and roasted cauliflower planned for dinner here
(7lbs to go to get back to Christmas Eve weight 🤦🏻‍♀️)

I hope it's lovely Stunt!
Ninkanink · 03/01/2021 13:22

Mmmmmm roast beef...

Are you keeping it very rare @StuntNun? If so can I please come to your house today?? Love roast beef! We’ve got a joint in the freezer which we might have just before bootcamp proper starts (so I can have a couple of homemade Yorkshire puddings...).

StuntNun · 03/01/2021 13:46

Result! I haven't cooked silverside before so I wasn't quite sure what to do with it. I sous vide'd it at 56C for 12 hours then browned it in the oven for half an hour. It came out medium and tender. DH and I had it with braised celery, courgettes fried in butter, and gravy. The DCs also got roast potatoes and mahoosive Yorkshire puds. I was seriously impressed with myself when the Yorkshires came out of the oven. One happy family!

Ok day one completed with no wine ... first since beginning of December ..
Pleased with myself . I wasn't very low carb yesterday , as some carrots and peas in soup and some nuts crept in , but I have told myself that I am easing in, stopping wine and bread etc is enough to begin with .. Once I have cracked a couple of wine free days , I can start again properly .. planning on that as from tomorrow

StuntNun do you have proper sous vide? I suppose slow pot roast and browning could work also ?
