BIWI · 14/12/2020 01:07

So finally we arrive at week 10!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

One more week to hold out against the Christmas chocolates, and all the other temptations. And for you to decide what your strategy is for coping with the whole holiday period.

It's not an easy time!

But one thing I do know is that those of you who have stuck with it over the last ten weeks have done really well. The losses have been amazing Flowers

So let's have one more really good week!

1.2lbs off, that takes me to (a) a stone lost this bootcamp and (b) a BMI under 25.

Oneborneverydecade · 14/12/2020 07:13

Well done @VeryLittleOwl

Surprised to be down 2.5lb. I stuck to LCHF over the weekend but felt I'd eaten more food than usual.

I'm going to do my best make it a round 1st off over BC - need to lose 1.5lb this week

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 14/12/2020 07:18

Good morning all. 2.5 lbs off for me, which makes up for the half pound gain from last week. I ate loads of cheese yesterday, so am very relieved

Superspecs · 14/12/2020 07:19

2lbs off! Only one more week to go! Well done everyone :-)

ZiggaZiggArrgggghhhh · 14/12/2020 07:21

1lb for me, 19lbs in total this bootcamp! I'm going to aim for 2lbs this week to make it 1 and a half stone and put me in the 14stones Grin

CowGurl · 14/12/2020 07:33

Hi - Been mostly lurking for a couple of weeks as had some (minor) medical treatments so have been on and off bootcamp a bit as needed. I've not strayed too far though, or for too long, and am so pleased to have lost 13 lb in total. Thank you so much to everyone to helps run and support this thread. You guys are amazing and have changed so many lives. Soppy bit over. Grin

I have nearly made it into the not obese category (if I was 170cm which I had convinced myself I was for a couple of decades, I would have made it, unfortunately the nurses keep telling me I'm 169 Hmm). Would be amazing if I could manage another 2 lbs next week, but probably pushing it. Will save that goal for next time.

Been reading the threads and thinking about maintenance. It's my first time so really don't know how it will go. I think my strategy will be to carry on weighing myself every day so I can't kid myself, make sure I fit in plenty of bootcamp days, fill up on the LCHF foods first - as someone Stuntnun? suggested, say no to sweet food I don't really love (looking at you Christmas pud) and try only eat the non-bootcamp foods that I really enjoy and when I really want them ... That's the plan and I am reasonably confident that it can work. I know I feel better on lchf, and I haven't found it difficult to jump back on after a wobble so fingers crossed.

Well done to everyone whatever the scales say

Sunseed · 14/12/2020 08:01

1lb off and so close now to having lost a whole stone I will be extra motivated this week.

The biggest threat to derailing me over Christmas is alcohol, but some of the usual traps have been removed (no neighbours' drinks party, no visiting in-laws or having guests round for DH's birthday) so I will take all that as a positive encouragement to stick with the Bootcamp WOE and glide gracefully down the scales into the new year.

Pleaseandthankyou · 14/12/2020 08:16

1lb on for me this morning, I’m not surprised. Just a green tea for breakfast to try to shift it.

VeryLittleOwl · 14/12/2020 08:26

Great losses everyone!

I just tried the shorts on and - can I zip it? Yes, I can!!! Comparison with week 1 too.

Next bootcamp for me is going to be Owl vs The Muffin Top!

Morning and thanks for your kind words Oneborneverydecade.

Hurrah 😁 1/2 lb off here, which I am very pleased with as I was extremely worried I would gain after a Prosecco evening round a fire pit on Friday night. All very socially distanced and many layers worn. On Saturday I had to give myself a talking to , in order to stop myself self sabotaging by thinking I’ve had one evening out, so I may as well carry on , but once I had reset myself mentally it was not too bad. I think this is something I may have to keep in mind for Christmas.

Anyway after my Friday night, unplanned, fab, but very much not bootcamp evening, I’ve had a long think about what I can do to help me over the Christmas period. I think there is a balance to be had between sharing the food and making it special. So with that in mind I’m going to spend some time writing a menu, this will actually help me with food planning, write a list of activities we can do and I’m going to spend a bit more time making the house even more festive.

So lovely ones, perhaps we can share some of our ideas, for Non edible special things, for example I have spied some holly that is covered in red berries and I’m going to snip some for my Christmas table decorations 😀, so if anyone sees someone out with their scissors and a bag by the holly you maybe in the presence of a fellow boot camper 😂, should we have a code word or phrase?

Today
B Greek yogurt
L purple soup 😂 I chucked in 2 purple carrots into my leek soup
D beef casserole
2 coffees, herbal teas and lots of water

StuntNun · 14/12/2020 09:03

Sunseed for limiting alcohol I find it's best not to have even one. It's too easy for one to lead to a refill or another glass and, of course, alcohol makes it harder to resist carby temptation.

Well done Owl what a fantastic result.

poorbuthappy · 14/12/2020 09:08

Morning everyone.

@VeryLittleOwl photos are fabulous! Well done!

I've finally stopped STS and lost 2lb!
I am now firmly in the 10s for Christmas.

Total of 11lb this bootcamp. I am so pleased.
Thanks @BIWI @StuntNun and basically everyone who is part of this.

LazydaysofSummer · 14/12/2020 09:17

Well done everyone with sticking with this, and all your losses. Another 1lb off for me, if I can manage the same again this week, means I'll have lost a stone, which is amazing.
But I think I underestimated how much weight had to lose, whilst I am looking soo much better than I was and jeans are much more comfortable, I could probably still afford to lose another stone,in order to be slim, so will definitely be continueing with this WOE in Jan.

Lyrata · 14/12/2020 09:24

God some great losses this late in the game! Well done all.

In terms of special things that aren’t food, I have been planning my Christmas outfit, buying some new board games to play - and I have ordered some new candles from Aldi. Their scented candles are such great value.

BurningGubbins · 14/12/2020 09:40

Morning All. 1.2lbs off here. Slow and steady and all that. Excitingly, I have just heard that I got the job I interviewed for on Friday. What a relief. I am not even remotely tempted to celebrate with food or booze, which is such a massive shift for me. And I am really pleased that my new team won’t know that I used to be fat...

Some amazing losses, congratulations. VeryLittleOwl you’ve done brilliantly.

20bloodypounds · 14/12/2020 09:45

1.2lb off for me. One final strict week damn you husband with your tempting crisps and then sticking to BC lite except for Christmas day.

Had lamb shanks at the weekend and used the bones to make lamb stock for soup.
B - avocado
L - lamb leek and tomato soup whizzed with butter
D - Asian slaw with spiced salmon

Iamnotacerealkiller · 14/12/2020 09:50

Well my gob is well and truly smacked. After a few weeks of 1lb losses I've lost 2.5lb!! I see lots of you have had good weeks too so that's fab. 18.5lb in total. Now 168.5lb so out of the 170s and 1lb until I'm 11st something which will be amazing considering I started at 13st 5.

Feeling sooo much better overall. I do plan to take a week off over Christmas then restart and join again for January bootcamp. I'm not a moderation kind of person but have learned that don't actually enjoy binging like I used to and just don't have the capacity for it anymore.

I plan to enjoy myself. Make some lower carb tweaks and eat a ton of meat, nuts, berries, dairy and dark chocolate. Things I have cut out a lot or completely.

WitchWandHasBaublesOn · 14/12/2020 09:50

Good morning everyone !

Great to read the results that are coming in this week. Down 1 and a half pounds here. This is meaning I'm teetering on the border between 10 stone something and 9 stone something. So, fingers crossed for this last week before the festivities. I'm really hoping to make it into the 9 stone bracket by the end of the week. Fingers crossed for everyone else's who's on this journey too. Not an easy time. But just one more week to go.

I've been really busy with work recently. And, last week I only had the time to read everyone's posts. It was really helpful to me nevertheless. So, thankyou to everyone who posted.

Thanks also to StuntNun who took time to answer me about extended
fasting. I also really enjoyed the exchanges about skin care and, of course, the thoughts around how to prepare for eating around Christmas. Lots of food for thought there !! Grin

And thankyou to the wonderful BIWI for this sparkly new Thread leading us up to the Christmas break. Xmas Smile

Onwards and downwards we go !! Xmas Wink

And brilliant news about the job @BurningGubbins Flowers

itsmeagainagain · 14/12/2020 10:43

well done everyone some brilliant losses! I'm only one pound down but that's still 10 pounds off so far for this bootcamp which is about one pound per week so I'm looking at it logically and thinking although I hoped for more I could be sat here ten pounds heavier if I hadn't done it! great picture progress @VeryLittleOwl... My black trousers have gone from being ridiculously small and unwearable to being snug but could get away with wearing them... will do a pic next Monday. Here's to a great week everyone!

Midlifemission · 14/12/2020 11:29

Great to read of so many losses.
Not good news for me this week I am up 0.5 but I am ok with that as it's AF time this week so hopefully it's that.
I have lost more than I dared hope this Bootcamp.

VeryLittleOwl amazing progress !

Going to keep firm this week and see if I can get a loss next Monday.

Still not really come up with a firm plan for Christmas but I have done this in previous years and not found it too hard as there are loads of things I am not missing at all. This was several years ago though so I will probably write down some Christmas survival rules for accountability!

Solongsugar · 14/12/2020 11:54

Hi all. If my weight of 11 St 8 lbs can be added please. I've not been in the 11s for over 20 years and to say I'm so happy is an understatement. I've been so very busy but hoping there's going to be a bootcamp to join in January to keep us motivated. Thanks so much to @BIWI , @StuntNun and everyone on thread !

Oneborneverydecade · 14/12/2020 12:51

Great news @BurningGubbins you must be really chuffed

ponygirlcurtis · 14/12/2020 12:58

Hello all, I have still not really lost anything beyond my initial 4lbs - I have been bouncing up and down around the same couple of pounds for a few weeks now and my period has just started so I feel bloated and meh today. But I am lighter than when I started, so I need to be content with that. I will admit that my focus has slipped a bit - my water consumption has definitely slipped - but I am still mostly sticking to the food side because I eat LC all year round.

I am going to carry on and try and focus on getting my water quota in today. Well done on all the fantastic losses everyone, it's really inspirational reading about them. Star
