Morning campers! And what a dreary, grey and foggy day it is here.

So we start the last fortnight of this Bootcamp today. Just two more weeks to go. Still time, therefore, to drop a few more pounds!

here's the spreadsheet once more

I hope everyone is staying well and that lockdown isn't too miserable Smile

Good luck for this week

No official weigh in yet, as I haven't done my exercises yet, but a preliminary look suggests as a minimum I STS Smile

Thanks for these threads BIWI Thanks

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 30/11/2020 08:40

Thanks Biwi. Am 2lbs down, so happy with that.

MaudesMum · 30/11/2020 08:46

My weight has gone up this week, due to a weekend where I went badly off-piste. It was the first time I'd been in the company of others for a few weeks (it was legit - I'm in a bubble with my sister and her partner, but we don't meet up very often). And I started well, and then the wine and the chocolate came out. And then the following day I was so hungover I had to eat toast... So, I'm cross with myself. Luckily/unluckily there are no Christmas or any other festivities in sight between now and the end of bootcamp, and I'd already planned the next few days of meals. Brocolli and blue cheese soup for lunch, and squash and chorizo traybake for supper!

itsmeagainagain · 30/11/2020 09:01

I’m 2lbs up Angry I know why though and what I did wrong. Going to re focus and give these last few weeks my best shot

Superspecs · 30/11/2020 09:09

I'm 4lb down! Whoop! I've made a real effort to have less cream and cheese and better portion sizes this week and it seems to have helped.

Well done everyone on your losses, staying the same and even the gains, keep on keeping on.

Midlifemission · 30/11/2020 09:10

Thanks BIWI am another 2lbs down so am very happy with that.
Weirdly my Renpho scales are now reading almost the same as my old ones not sure how that’s worked as they started 2lbs apart but everything is positive .
I am 6lbs away from my first target which I don’t think I will do this bootcamp but not far off.
I can’t believe we are on week 8.

Thanks for the advice for my friend last night BIWI she ate some carbs with dinner ( just a few chickpeas ) and feels better today . Thankfully I think it was carb flu and not COVID !

Mimosa1 · 30/11/2020 09:10

0.5kg off this week, for a total of 1.8kg so far this BC. I'm really pleased with this. I am very keen to get to the 68kg/150lbs mark which is a tall order in two weeks but I shall try to get as close as I can - and you will be seeing me in Jan everyone :-)

DC has woken up with a continuous cough and we're self isolating pending his test result - send me strength! Our flights to our Caribbean holiday have been cancelled and all in all I've got the grumps... but I've lost 500g this week and my trousers are feeling looser, so I suppose there's that...

Midlifemission · 30/11/2020 09:11

@Superspecs well done that’s amazing !

I am going to try really hard for these last couple of weeks too!

Iamnotacerealkiller · 30/11/2020 09:19

Don't we have three weeks left? Weeks 8, 9 and 10?

1lb off for me. Less then I had hoped as It was 1.5 in the week and I've been pushing to get to 2 but no joy. 12st 3 now. Really really hoping to get below 12 by Christmas but may not make it.

Lyrata · 30/11/2020 09:27

I’ve lost another nearly three pounds, which I didn’t expect after losing two last week. I’m so pleased as this just nudges me into the 9 stone bracket (9 stone 13 and 3/4). I’m so pleased with this! And so grateful for all the support here that has helped me in resisting snacks and cheating - resulting in that precious 1/4 of a pound.

Well done to all the other losers - 4 pounds is amazing @Superspecs - and sorry to anyone who gained or STS :(. Still plenty of time to lose before Christmas and things may be happening ‘behind the scenes’ that aren’t showing on the scales!

prettybird · 30/11/2020 09:29

Iamnotacerealkiller - that's the way I look at it. Therefore if I can average 3lb per week loss, then I can get to 11st 6lb or lower, depending on what I weigh in officially at today Wink, I'll be lower than I was last Christmas Xmas Smile

BIWI · 30/11/2020 09:36

Yes we do - you're quite right! Sorry. Smile

I'm putting sts , as I'm not stepping on the scale
I've had the most awful cold , and have lived on lemsip , cheese on toast and Heinz tomato soup

Luckily , not the dreaded Covid , but I'm still feeling a bit rough ( putting it mildly ) and will be overloading on the green veg this week , hoping that will help

BIWI · 30/11/2020 09:37

Sorry to hear about your holiday @Mimosa1 Sad. DH and I were hoping to get some Caribbean sunshine in January, but realised a while ago that it would simply not be possible. (Or rather, it would be possible, but only if we were prepared to pay for isolation for a week first!)

Morning, hurrah 3lbs down, so just under 10lbs this boot camp. My BMI is now 26.3, only 2lbs to tip into the 25s. However, I had stayed the same for 3 weeks and just kept on going with it, so if you are having a stall, just keep on.

Mimosa1 hope it is not Covid and sorry about your flights and holiday.

BIWI, have we got this week and then 2 more weeks? It’s also grey and miserable here, my app is describing it as gloomy ☹️.

Spurred on by talk of Christmas teas, I had a clear out of my tea draw , I am a horror for buying teas and then not drinking them. So I had a tea tasting session, decided what I liked, I had loads of T2 loose herbal teas, I throw out some old stuff and ordered so more teapigs. All this was within boot camp rules- I would recommend as a way to change it up and to drink more water.

Finally, I picked up a Goodhousekeeping December mag yesterday, all of their recipes had the carb counts, which was really useful. It is ages since I had a magazine from them so it was nice to see. There were also a couple of lower carb biscuity things, which I could imagine baking and being able to have 1 of in a social way with the family.

So today;
B Greek yogurt & 1 or 2 coffees
L cauliflower soup with grated cheese
D chicken curry, with stir fried cauliflower rice

BIWI · 30/11/2020 09:51

I wish more magazines/cookery books had the nutritional breakdown of their recipes! They tend to focus on calories, if anything.

Olive magazine is good for carb counts as well. DH bought me a subscription last Christmas and I'm very much hoping he will have renewed it this Christmas.

1.2lbs down for me this week, which is mildly annoying as I was 2lb down midweek. Oh well. Not sure I’ll make it into the 10s before Christmas now.

NSV - my glasses keep falling off when I am yoga-ing. I guess I have lost weight from my face!

Have a good/better week all.

Superspecs · 30/11/2020 10:47

@notwatchingspooks

I've just treated myself to the teapigs advent calendar at the last minute! I've always been a bit bleurgh about herbal teas and drink too much coffee, but I really enjoyed the choc and mint ones recommended on here so thought I would have a go at branching out! It was a bit ££ but it'll make me feel better when the kids have their chocolates :-)

Hopeislost · 30/11/2020 10:55

@Superspecs I have a tea advent calendar too! Mine is from Bird & Blend Tea Co. I'm really looking forward to it. I've found having a nice herbal tea in the evening when my DH has treats to be a bit of a lifesaver!

poorbuthappy · 30/11/2020 11:10

Stayed the bloody same again this week.
The reason is the same as last week - not enough water (esp on weekends) and too much gin.

I will be in the 10s next week if I have to chop my bloody arm off.

ZiggaZiggArrgggghhhh · 30/11/2020 11:51

I've lost 4lbs this week, bloody chuffed! That's 1 stone 3 lbs this bootcamp!

I will have to try less cream etc as I seem to have developed a lactose intolerance which has probably contributed to my weight loss (iyswim? Envy).

Overall I'm bloody well pleased with myself today Grin

Rayna37 · 30/11/2020 12:03

Some good progress and LOLs here this morning, not bad for this stage.

I've been a bit rubbish since Friday. Back on it today and looking forward to swimming again from Weds.

0.2lbs up after squandering early losses last week.

Hopeislost · 30/11/2020 12:05

2.25 lbs off for me this week! It's the first time the scales have budged in a couple of weeks. Also, according to the spreadsheet, I have now lost 10% of my bodyweight since the start of the last bootcamp!

WitchWand · 30/11/2020 12:08

Thanks for the new thread BIWI

Lovely to read everyone's results. Sorry for those who have not shifted or who've out on.
Here, down 1lb this week. I'm aware that I've started to slow down and think this might be because I'm getting nearer my goal.

It's good to see the back of these pounds. And I'm wanting to say "goodbye" forever to them.

VeryLittleOwl · 30/11/2020 12:13

10st 13.4lbs for the THIRD week in a row! At least it's not going up.

Discoveries this week include:
(1) eating roasted buttery sprouts with cheese on top two nights in a row cause an absolutely spectacular catastrophic gut explosion
(2) when it's cold and miserable and there's nothing low carb on the specials board for our Saturday lunch out and I can't face yet another blooming chicken salad and somebody wafts a sticky toffee pudding with caramel sauce in front of my nose (only table left was by the kitchen door), I fall off the wagon.

The good thing is that I got straight back on the wagon the same day and 48 hours later haven't been tempted to dive into DH's chocolate stash.
