The Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Morning all. Sorry for the late start - had a bit of a bad night so slept longer than usual.

I hope that the scales were kind to you this morning, but please remember week 4 is notorious (along with week 3) in that you are very likely to have seen no loss, or even a small gain

If this has happened to you, DON'T PANIC!

This is your body adjusting to a new WOE, and from now on you should be burning fat. So don't change what you've been doing and things will get moving again; you should expect to see 1-3lbs losses each week (depending on how much you have to lose)

However, it's also important to be scrupulously honest with yourself. If you have had no loss, or seen a gain, go back over what you have been eating and drinking. Have you been following the rules? Have you been keeping your fat levels high? Have you been drinking all the water?

Good luck to us all for the following week as we go into lockdown once again. I know it's not going to be easy, and the lure of carbs (and all the alcohol) will be even more ever-present. Post here if you're needing support to stay away from them and together we can help each other. Remember, you're not alone!

They are fine! A bit higher in carbs than some other veg at 4.8g carbs per 100g, but in the great scheme of things, you can enjoy these.

Praise the lordWink I really enjoyed them with mince and lettuce tacos.

I put 1lb on today, can't say I'm surprised with my slip on my birthday! Suppose it could be worse and what matters is that I keep going!

Have a great week everyone!

NotwatchingSpooks · 02/11/2020 18:40

Evening, I’ve been really good, but up 1 lb, I’m just going to koko and trust the process.

NSV, my belt is doing up another notch, also nothing to do with weight, but managed to get a pre lock down hair cut 😀

B Greek yogurt
L none, fasted
D roast chicken, bubble and squeak, homemade coleslaw

Water .....

RitaEllen · 02/11/2020 18:57

I’ve stayed the same. I’ve probably not drunk enough water though.

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 02/11/2020 19:41

Checking in with today's food. Am determined to have a good week.
B) 2 boiled eggs and 2 slices of bacon
L) 5 slices of pork with a little bit of cucumber relish
D) Roast chicken and salad with a big dollop of mayo and a sesame oil/soy sauce/garlic dressing.
Snack - 2 squares of 85% dark chocolate.
Also had lots of water/coffee/mint tea.

ShagMeRiggins · 02/11/2020 20:24

PSA ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE WHO STS OR GAINED—

I know we all bang on about it, but WATER WATER WATER.

This week will be generally meh weather-wise but it is worth making the COMMITMENT to your daily water intake.

Sorry for all the caps. I’m about to start an online book group and can’t be gagged with formatting.

ShagMeRiggins · 02/11/2020 20:24

Nor faffed, for that matter. Hmm

lurknolinger · 02/11/2020 20:34

Loss of 1.2lbs for me this week, which considering its week 3 I'm really happy with.

NotwatchingSpooks I've not thought of making bubble and squeak before, but love that idea, how did you make it? I'm assuming mashed celeriac and cabbage, anything else?

I've forgotten who posted it so can't thank them, but I cooked the Ottolenghi roast chicken with olives and capers yesterday and really enjoyed it, so thanks very much. Although I think it's something I'd eat in warmer weather as I wasn't so sure what cooked veg would go with it. Felt like a dish more suited to salad to go with it but it was too cold for salad for me yesterday.

NotwatchingSpooks · 02/11/2020 20:43

lurknolinger I mixed/mashed all the leftover veg from our Sunday roast (mashed Buttered swede, celeriac, leeks, cauliflower cheese, broccoli, green beans) popped it in a oven proof dish and baked it for an hour, was very lovely.

Served it with homemade coleslaw and a plain ready cooked rotisserie chicken from Waitrose = Easiest Dinner Ever 😀

Where is your veg?!

A bit of cucumber relish and some salad isn't enough! You should be getting your carbs from veg and not from chocolate.

What do you mean 'probably'?!

Water is really, really important and you must make sure that you drink it.

Well done to everyone who Lost.
Congratulations to @ThinkAboutItTomorrow on seeing your goal weight and amazing to hear of NSVs with how clothes fit .

It was a STS for me on the scales - Although I also connected the new Renpho scales and they put me at 1.3 lbs more than my
Old scales . I was a bit deflated to be honest but BIWI article gave me a bit of perspective. I nave given up at this point before but not this time !

My day improved with the delivery of the Seriously low carb bread so I had a
Roll for lunch which was a nice change.

Just got to KOKO and feel positive that lockdown 2 won’t see more weight gain .

AthelstaneTheUndeady · 02/11/2020 21:26

Lots of exciting new boobs and losses and belts and swede chips Grin

I forgot to weigh in this morning, and it took me so long to wriggle into my clothes I couldn't face undoing them again. Will check tomorrow.

Bonus points: three pheasants and one grouse left over the gate this morning, so some sort of game casserole is in order this week. Plucking fun with cats and feathers in front of a film first though.

lurknolinger · 02/11/2020 22:07

Thanks NotwatchingSpooks that sounds delicious - no idea how you managed to have leftover cauliflower cheese though, that would never happen in this house 😁 but it does sound like it would make a really tasty bubble and squeak. Will cook extra veg this Sunday then.

NotwatchingSpooks · 02/11/2020 22:09

AthelstaneTheUndeady if someone left that on my porch I would call the police 😀 but I do live in London

BuffyTheBuffetSlayer · 02/11/2020 22:19

Well done @ThinkAboutItTomorrow for reaching your goal! Must feel like such an amazing achievement!!

And well done everyone else getting through week 3, losses or not.

I've had a busy day with the toddlers so just getting around to dinner now. I really need to make more effort to eat sooner. I find I lose weight more quickly when I stop eating at 4 or 5pm as opposed to... now!!

B. Fasted
L. Egg and bacon on low carb toast.
D. Currently cooking pan fried chicken thighs which I'll be having with roasted shoogled buttered green veg and a side of spinach.

I have drunk 3 pints of water so far, I'm sure I can squeeze in another 2 before bed.

NigellaAwesome · 02/11/2020 23:19

Hi Mrs Koala I had forgotten you were getting new boobs! Are you pleased with them? Can we see a pic? - your choice as to whether clothed or not Grin

I've been stupidly busy with work related stuff today, and will continue to be for the rest of the week, so food was a bit random:

B: Coffee with almond milk and cream
L: leftover Whole30 Moroccan chicken with Moroccan slaw (delicious)
S: A few forkfuls of egg mayo
D: was absorbed with working, so skipped

Have prepped chicken curry and cheeseburger pie tonight to avoid a repeat of the no dinner scenario.

Athelstane the only time I find random birds by the house are the ones the cat proudly delivers. Is this another Scottish thing?

Summery1 · 02/11/2020 23:35

Up .4lb here. Not a disaster. I also struggle with the water in cold weather. I'll measure it tomorrow, but I feel a bit ... blocked Blush and water usually solves that.

I'd forgotten chaffles, so thanks for the reminder, I'm in a recipe rut. Congratulations to all you losers and BIWI that article was great. Thanks as always.

ToastCosILoveIt · 02/11/2020 23:44

1.8lbs down so very pleased, especially as I had stalled (been bootcamping since August).

Definitely a lesson learnt in planning and prepping food this am: I dived into work emails and was back to back so breakfast at 11am (I am doing 16:8 which sometimes turns into 18:6) was a pack of cheesies, a (tiny) pack of pork scratchings and some salami. Dinner was better, good sausages with cauliflower cheese and spinach. I also managed 6 pints of water which was an improvement on my usual 5 maximum. I had a headache all afternoon despite taking a Zero in one of the pints and a magnesium tablet plus Himalayan salt on my dinner.

I really struggled to avoid a glass of red wine today as I did on Saturday. On both occassions on early evening walks and going past 3 pubs. Tonight was especially hard as the pubs will be closed after Wedneday. i tried to focus on how pleased I would be (and the scales) if I resisted and now I am in bed I am pleased that tonight's drink was three pints of sparkling water instead of wine.

Well done to all on losses or even STS.

plumstone · 03/11/2020 07:42

@MrsKoala was wondering where you are!!!! and I too am intrigued by the new boobs - have been contemplating a reduction myself and keep thinking if I can hit my long term 10st 7lbs goal it may be my reward.

Breakfast: Smoked Salmon, cucumber, brie, and some cucumber
Lunch - water, water, water
Dinner - Steak and broccoli

Now here is the question - I have discovered scales in my hotel room do I use them? (worried that they don't give the same as my home scales) or do I just stick to LCHF rules and keep the faith till I'm home?

KOKO!!
