Low Carb Bootcamp Léger! Notre quatre semaine est ici!

BIWI · 15/06/2020 07:33

It's Monday! So soon! Wink

Morning all.

Ici, c'est le début de notre quatre semaine du Bootcamp. C'est léger est pas ordinaire.

... which means we can relax things slightly.

Some fruit is allowed in moderation - mainly berries. Nuts and seeds in moderation, and alcohol very much in moderation.

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness if you need to, check the rules for Bootcamp Light on the tabs there.

If you're happy on 'ordinary' Bootcamp, then by all means continue. If you were finding intermittent fasting was helping you, then you could also consider trying to extend the length of time you've been fasting - so if you were managing 12:12, try working up to 16:8. If you were managing 16:8, see how much long you can extend that for. Just don't let it go so long that you get too hungry and are tempted to cheat.

Alternatively, you could do a hybrid, so strict Bootcamp during the week and Bootcamp Light at the weekend.

We only have two weeks left of this Bootcamp, so let's get/keep focused, and see what we can do!

I've had my Tanita digital scales for 10 years now. Newer models have come along with WiFi, apps etc. But these scales are solid. Give the same reading each and every time. I rate them. The scales are on carpet but I put a single spare floor tile underneath them.

Next up...the perpetual head space decision of what to have for dinner! HmmAngry

Freetodowhatiwant · 16/06/2020 12:59

It was @nowlook. Really felt like I was on holiday, which for the current period in time was a welcome lunch indeed!

Puppermint · 16/06/2020 14:59

@BrassicaBabe I’ve got Tanita ones, also at least 10 years old and utterly bombproof. Only problem is my profile still says I am in my early 30s when I’m about to hit 44 in a few days time as I have no idea how to update it Confused

Mixitupalot · 16/06/2020 15:05

Hi I am really really struggling today, it’s the week before AF and I want to eat everything I see. I caved and had a pancake along with the kids and now I want 10 more 😭

MrsTerryPratchett · 16/06/2020 15:11

Non-carb comfort food? For me that's boiled eggs in a cup mashed with butter. No pancakes!

SunshineInMySprocket · 16/06/2020 15:31

Hi,

I had a very busy day yesterday and somehow missed posting after my weigh-in. 1lb on for me this week however TOM so I'm fine with that result. I have been doing really well with my daily hour of exercise and I'm sleeping better than I have been. Hope everyone is well! Off to catch up with the thread.

Takingontheworld · 16/06/2020 16:03

I really really want to eat a fresh sourdough pizza from our pizza place and a tub of icecream.

Ive a raging headache, feel like shit and i won't do the above but i just need to tell someone because if i say it loud here, hubby will see it as opportunity to order takeaway

1WildTeaParty · 16/06/2020 16:33

Even in the best of times here, takeaway-food is in short supply - and bleh! (How unexpected to find this an advantage of living in an unimportant little place)

I have thought about attempting one of the mozzerella- 'dough' based pizzas this week though.

B: Boiled eggs - butter - 1 creamy coffee
L: Ham and cherry tomatoes (2) - Greek yogurt and 1 tbsp wild strawberries
D: yet to decide (bottom of the fridge mystery-medley perhaps as new veg delivery is due tomorrow).

1WildTeaParty · 16/06/2020 16:35

Hope you are already feeling better @Takingontheworld

blueglassandfreesias · 16/06/2020 16:39

Checking in 👋🏼
Cream coffee x 2
1.5 litres of peppermint and liquorice tea
3x meatsters
Handful salted almonds

Lunch: green salad with 4 cherry tomatoes, cucumber, salami and 3 slices goats cheese.

Dinner will be salmon in butter and I’m going to make cauliflower, celeriac and garlic soup using chicken stock as well.

Need to finish off the water drinking too 1.5 L to go!

1WildTeaParty · 16/06/2020 16:40

Non-carb comfort food for when the others eat pancakes and you feel bad:

Pancakes made with eggs and a little cream-cheese. Fry in butter and turn them gently. Add a pinch of cinnamon and/or a pinch of vanilla powder then serve with whipped double cream.

(You can leave out the cream-cheese and make a kind of sweet omlette if dairy is a problem.)

ExShield · 16/06/2020 16:59

Bad things happened today. Please let this serve as a warning:

It’s a long story why, but this morning I ate licorice allsorts. Quite a lot actually. And a couple of pringles and 2 chocolates. All on the school run.

This is the first sugar/carbs I’ve had for weeks obviously. Got home and felt a bit odd so I went to lie down. Then I started sweating BUCKETS and staggered to the bathroom, where basically my entire being emptied itself from every available hole. Never had anything like this since a Guinness frenzy at college and that’s 30 years ago. So that’ll learn me. I’m itchy and feel like absolute shit. No more processed crap for me. Sad

SparklesAllOver · 16/06/2020 17:15

ExShield, are you better now? Keep looking at a packet of peanut cookies, dying to eat them but your post has helped! At least it all came out - is licorice not a laxative?Grin

ExShield · 16/06/2020 17:22

A laxative? It was an explosive! I am a loud vomited at the best of times and this was basically screaming.

kakiqueen · 16/06/2020 17:29

Hello @BIWI.
I've put the cracker recipe on the vegetarian recipe thread.

I am going to abstain from dairy for a few days and see how that affects my weight. As at the moment, nothing seems to be shifting.
I do look less bloated though Smile

kakiqueen · 16/06/2020 17:31

Wow @ExShield. I used to get a milder version of that after a night of too many chocolates!
Poor you. I hope you have recovered.

Blimey Shield that's a lot of information!

On the boob debate, mine are my best feature, and although they get a little smaller when I lose weight, they are still awesome.

Takingontheworld · 16/06/2020 19:17

Ate the right foods. Stayed on track. Just cried at over a dog on the telly.
Wtf is wrong with me today!

Almahart · 16/06/2020 19:59

Hallo! Posted on the last thread by mistake. I'm back to boot camp after a disastrous carb fest of a lockdown. Spontaneous decision so today's food was bacon and eggs for lunch and roast chicken thigh with salad for dinner. Lots of water with ice and lemon.

Really happy to be here and looking forward to dusting off old favourite meals

BeyondDreamsOfBeyondFourWalls · 16/06/2020 20:00

We had a curry tonight, so that might not have been perfect. I had a chicken passanda, then we made cauli rice to go with it and salad. I've never succeeded in doing my own (non)rice before, despite always saying I would cause of the cost Grin

BrassicaBabe · 16/06/2020 20:21

Day 10. Fuck I want a glass of wine. Having an argument with myself; why shouldn't you have a glass, who made the 30 day thing a rule, no-one else will notice or care.

But I might just have lost a pound. And let's face it that's what all this is about Grin And on a serious note, I've just stoped waking at 3am with crazy anxiety. So I'm standing firm with my cold infuse thing in my water.

Then, just to add to the fun, the kids have want to learn to cook proper stuff. Helped DS on Friday make a chorizo tomato sauce for pasta. I had it with salmon. But today DD wanted to make macaroni cheese 😩 Roux, a million tonnes of cheese, pasta. The works! Honestly I had no pasta. But I did wipe my fingers round the sauce once or twice.

Wasabi seaweed thins are great for a savoury kick. Hardly any carbs and 22 calories. Got to watch out for the occasional one that has been overloaded with wasabi 🤯

Freetodowhatiwant · 16/06/2020 20:23

I’ve lost weight but I FEEL fatter. Is this the weird wobbly thing aforementioned? Before the fat decides to go? Or some weird psychological bs?

NigellaAwesome · 16/06/2020 20:30

Fuck. Just had an argument with DH. Online shopping got delivered at 6. I went out to get my knee injected whilst shopping still being put away. Came back at half seven, starving, to find out he had had his dinner (that I had cooked for him, just had to heat up) and then eaten more than half the packet of Jarlsberg I'd bought for myself 😡.

After 20 years, I have had enough. It is like living with a human locust. He literally inhales food, doesn't chew, eats so fast, then is 'hungry'. Ffs 😡😡
