Good evening!

Trying to get ahead of everything, as I know tomorrow will be a real rush with people signing up, etc.

Here's the spreadsheet with many thanks to the ever lovely @AthelstaneTheUnready for her sterling efforts

MFP is a bit of a nag I find devon Hmm

I might pinch your meal plan BIWI

Sorry you are feeling rubbish Cherries. It does make you wonder where these bugs hang out doesn't it.

Bloody love celeriac Joy. What are you going to do with it?

5km run done. Slow. But done. Will aim to reach 10K steps over the day. How hard it that by the way?! I have a desk job. My stop count can be under 1000 if I'm not careful. Even running 5k it's only at 6629!Shock

Will aim for something like
L: celery soup
D: salmon and buttered leek

We've got this!

CalendulaAndRoses · 25/05/2020 12:09

have gotten a bit lost in the spreadsheet and not sure where I can find the allowed food list for the super strict week 1 - DP wants to make soup for lunch which will be my first food of the day - are we allowed leeks? Going shopping later so need the allowed food list for that too. Am sure it is somewhere obvious but right now I cannot see it... Confused

SquishyBones · 25/05/2020 12:10

Chilli con carne in the slow cooker for tonight ☺️

OnceUponAMidnightBeery · 25/05/2020 12:18

13 stone dead on this morning. Better than I thought it would be tbh, so that’s

BrassicaBabe · 25/05/2020 12:24

Def allowed leeks 👍

OnceUponAMidnightBeery · 25/05/2020 12:25

pressed post by mistake!

So that’s a nice boost to start off with! Will be a scrappy first week for me as need to get paid and do a proper food shop, so menu planning for more exciting meals next week Smile

Currently doing no exercise and an awful lot of sitting on my days off, so aiming to combine exercise with housework! My two most hated things Blush

CalendulaAndRoses · 25/05/2020 12:32

thanks @BrassicaBabe

if anyone knows where the full strict allowed foods list is let me know

got my first bottle of water beside me, HATE drinking plain water (or fancified water either for that matter) but am determined

Planning a 30 minutes combo of boxing and bike later (not at exactly the same time mind!)

Wormthatturned · 25/05/2020 12:35

Thanks for doing this.
I've remembered why I haven't done a diet for years. I've broken rules already - couldn't face black tea so had a dash of milk, usually I easily manage without breakfast a couple times a week but all this weighing and meal planning made me feel starving so had a chunk of cheese before I went for my walk, now the family are having a tantrum about having too much salad - and they're having toast!! Anyway my tuna and lettuce was nice and I don't feel hungry now.
I'm glad I don't feel like I'm on my own thanks to you lot.

OldLace · 25/05/2020 12:39

Ooooh, hello Prettybird
waves madly! Grin Yea, how nice to 'know' someone at the beginning :)
I bet we all know each other much better by the end. How nice to have somewhere positive to come to right now Smile

Thank you for adding my weight AthelstaneTheUnready

bibliomania · 25/05/2020 12:42

gruntley I have a different emotional reaction to my weight in kg versus lbs too. Kg is just information, lbs is judgement....

Hopeislost · 25/05/2020 12:48

Good luck with the first day everybody!

So far I have dug out our Brita jug and put it in the fridge door, made a pot of peppermint tea that I will put in a jug in the fridge, and boiled a load of eggs.

Lunch is lettuce wraps, and dinner will be chicken thighs with broccoli and a herby yoghurt dressing 👍

MilsonandJim · 25/05/2020 12:51

Just checking in. Will come back and read later. Thank you.

Patapouf · 25/05/2020 12:54

I was absolutely starving this morning and managed 15 hours from dinner last night rather than 16. Hopefully IF will be easier overnight/tomorrow.

i've probably lost 9ish pounds in the last 6 weeks, very half hearted LC with the addition of a daily mini magnum. I've lost more than 20lbs since I had DS last year but the recent loss was after my weight had gone up a bit at Christmas and again in the first stretch of lockdown. I have a terrible history of yoyoing. I usually have great success with LCHF but only sustain it for 3-4 months before falling off the wagon.

I am trying with the exercise, today i'm planning a long walk and maybe a brief strength related video from youtube.

Lunch was bolognese with kale and grated cheese. Dinner will be lamb kleftiko with roast swede possibly.

Ninkanink · 25/05/2020 12:57

Hey everyone!! 🌼🌺🌸 thanks BIWI as always.

Had lots of very nice wine last night and a late evening snack of very crisp crackers, Italian salami, olives, and fresh tomato. Had a good long lie in this morning and have now got my black coffee and am settling down to relax for an hour or two with iPad/YouTube.

Not sure I want to do the calorie counting, having decided many years ago to reject that utterly joyless approach to food, but I’ll try it for a couple of days and see how it goes. It’s only a week, and fasting does at least make the calories go further.

Not sure what I’ll have for lunch today but it will probably be egg based. And most likely a chicken Caesar salad for dinner (without the croutons).

Just weighed myself and need to come down by about 6 kilos to be reasonably happy, and 10-12 to be where I want to be.

Good luck everyone! 🌻

Ninkanink · 25/05/2020 13:02

Special mention to @AthelstaneTheUnready for your efforts with the spreadsheet of fabulousness! 💐

I can never get it to work so I think I’ll just have to keep track of losses myself.

PastramiNoRye · 25/05/2020 13:04

Thanks for setting this all up!

I've added my weight Blushto the spreadsheet and have just inhaled my lunch of pulled pork and salad. I've never done 16:8 before and I think it might take some getting used to!

On a positive note though, I've had quite a few cups of herbal tea so at least those count towards my water intake!

BIWI · 25/05/2020 13:25

@roff I had scrambled eggs with butter and cheese and 350g of full fat greek yoghurt - love the stuff!

Elpheba · 25/05/2020 13:35

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been to the loo so far this morning!
I’ve downloaded mfp but I’m not sure I will be able to do the calorie counting part of it. I’ve been eating such junk it will be enough of a shock to do usual boot camp so that’s my rough plan.
So far today I’ve had an omelette for breakfast- eggs, cheese and ham and then for lunch I had a pepperami with 1/2can of tuna mixed with 1/2 an avocado and then spooned onto cucumber slices.
Was very yummy. Have only had 700ml of water so far and 2 cups of tea so need to up my water this afternoon.
Hope everyone’s first days are going well!

Defiantly41 · 25/05/2020 13:42

Can you add me please?
183.6 - up 5 from the end of the last boot camp thanks to lockdown woe/ wine/ biscuits

Today so far
1/2 avocado, 2 poached eggs topped with butter, 2 thick slices back bacon, coffee

Need to go and get my water bottle out of the cupboard!

Dinner FLGV with home made bolognaise (no packets or thickener, just meat, olive oil, veg & stock sure, reduced on the hob)

@BIWI can I put coconut oil in my mint tea/ black coffee to get the fat in?

BIWI · 25/05/2020 13:46

Yes @Defiantly41 you can do that although why you'd want to is beyond me!

OP posts:
Hopeislost · 25/05/2020 14:05

@Defiantly41 What is FLGV please?

JustFrigginNameChange · 25/05/2020 14:13

@Hopeislost Fucking loads of green veg, i believe

JoyDivisionOvenGlovesx · 25/05/2020 14:14

May I ask, what’s the deal with those Barenaked noodle things? Allowed at any stage?

Stats look ok I think:
Nutrition Facts: (per 100g of noodles) Energy 12kcal Protein 0.3 Fat 0.1 Carbohydrate 0.9 Sugars 0.1 Dietary Fibre 3.4g Sodium 2mg Ingredients: Konjac flour, Oatmeal flour (gluten free) soya bean fiber, food grade calcium hydroxide, water

Ifeelfat · 25/05/2020 14:15

Thanks BIWI for this.

I usually eat low carb anyway but haven’t calorie counted in about 40 years.
Just measured and looked up everything for a mozzarella omelette and it’s incredible how high in calories the fat is... probably an absolute no brainer but it’s where I’ve been going wrong. Although I haven’t over eaten (difficult with the fat), I’ve drunk too much wine (sugar) and eaten too many crisps (to go with the wine 🙄). Oh and after the wine comes chocolate, so more sugar.
Keeping off the wine is the thing, clearly!

So, if nothing else, this has been massively useful in getting me to watch portion sizes.
I’d normally have a 2 egg omelette with mozzarella and cheddar on a bed of spinach with olive oil and chia/pumpkin seeds. All healthy etc but a shit load of calories...

Finally, a question Biwi.
Occasionally I’ll have some sugar free chewing gum, or a small fruit yoghurt if I’m craving sweetness. If I try and ignore, I find it becomes an issue and gets worse.
In this situation, would a small sugar free something be ok, or should I suck it up for a week?
