Good evening!

Trying to get ahead of everything, as I know tomorrow will be a real rush with people signing up, etc.

Here's the spreadsheet with many thanks to the ever lovely @AthelstaneTheUnready for her sterling efforts

Thanks for adding me and also for running this.
I’m half a stone up since the end of boot camp, so really keen to shift that. I’m going to do a 30 min hitt session on my exercise bike each day, plus a walk with the dog , unfortunately my local parks are not allowing dogs off the lead so I am far more restricted in terms of dog walks than usual.
Just off to plan today and rest of weeks menu.

bibliomania · 25/05/2020 10:52

Feeling good about this! To reconcile me to black coffee, I dug out my old stovetop espresso pot, so I feel all chic and continental. Have been for a run (fairly gentle as it's been a while) and downed 1.5 ltrs water. The water makes a difference - I know I eat when really I'm thirsty.

gruntley123 · 25/05/2020 10:57

Thank you so much BIWI and AthelstaneTheUnready.

I've weighed in and updated the spreadsheet with my start weight.

Would it mess with the system completely if I used kg rather than lbs?

Good luck everyone!

Mummyoflittledragon · 25/05/2020 10:58

Thanks for the well wishes. Yes, I hope this 3rd surgery whenever it happens will be my last.

Since this latest hernia, I have read how bad sugar is for collagen. I’ve been ignoring it for the last couple of months and am very guilty of eating copious amounts of it! Bit of cognitive dissonance right now that I need to change my way of eating forever...

Good luck everyone!

devoncreamtea · 25/05/2020 11:00

Sympathy Flowers @ilovecherries ☹️ So horrid to have a tummy bug.
I hope you feel better quickly!

JustFrigginNameChange · 25/05/2020 11:01

There's no way in hell I'm going to manage less than 1000 calories! I'm on 918 now and I've only had scrambled eggs with salad and a yogurt.

I have been going high fat already though, that may be why the calorie count is so high?

I'm planning to make meatballs in tomato sauce and courgette strips for dinner later. That's going to be another 500 odd calories.

On the plus side my card count is relatively low, 24 so far.

PseudoBadger · 25/05/2020 11:05

Morning all! Haven’t weighed today, might weigh at night?
I started with a beginners joe wicks, will also do a couple of dog walks and maybe a bike ride.
Had a black coffee and a mint tea (up at 6) and just had ‘lunch’ which was an avocado and 200g Greek yoghurt which should be about 500 calories. Does this sound ok?

ramarama · 25/05/2020 11:11

Eek, i've never weighed this much - 215llbs - and it looks so much worse when it's converted from kilos..... :-(

Have been provaricating getting out of bed because I said I would run 'first thing' and so now it's already 22C and i will melt out there. Wish me luck!

Thanks so much for putting in the work to set up this thread!!

RuffleBelly · 25/05/2020 11:12

I've weighed in - my highest ever weight, higher than at full term pregnancy with both children. Oh the shame.

I can't add to the spreadsheet as it says it is locked so please can my name be added when there is an update next. I did add it to the list but think I was too late.

Really hoping this works as something needs to change!

BIWI · 25/05/2020 11:14

@PseudoBadger there's no point weighing at night - all you'll be doing is weighing yourself plus what you've eaten/drunk today! Do it tomorrow morning instead - naked and after you've been to the loo.

@JustFrigginNameChange yes it takes a bit of adjusting to get the calories down! If you incorporate the fasting that helps - one less meal! It also means you can aim for the same proportions - (relatively) high fat, medium protein and low carb.

@gruntley123 I believe that somewhere on the spreadsheet there's a lbs to kg converter (I could be wrong, but I think there certainly used to be one!)

BIWI · 25/05/2020 11:15

@RuffleBelly if you follow the rules, I promise you it will work!

BIWI · 25/05/2020 11:15

Oh, and @RuffleBelly you are on the spreadsheet

In case you haven't seen this before here's a link to a Google Doc I've created which has a few calorie and carb-counted recipes, just in case anyone needs any inspiration.

Also, don't forget that at the top of the Bootcamp topic there are several stickied threads with lots of different recipes. They haven't got carb counts (or calorie counts) but they might inspire you too.

@gruntley123, it may look a little weird on the spreadsheet, but if you prefer it why not? Lbs, kgs, they're all just metrics.

There is a 'conversion' tab on the spreadsheet which will convert your kgs to lbs with no faff though.

Champagnecharleyismyname · 25/05/2020 11:18

I'm just about to break my fast with bacon, scrambled eggs and mushrooms.

Weighed in this morning a stone heavier since than this time last year. I was putting on a stone every decade, hit my 50s and the menopause and put on a stone in a year.

Really hoping this is the reset I need.

roff · 25/05/2020 11:19

I'm on 918 now and I've only had scrambled eggs with salad and a yogurt.

What did you put in the eggs?!

whereiscaroline · 25/05/2020 11:23

Hello, I've tried to join but it says it's protected and to contact the spreadsheet owner.

Please can I be added?

Starting today weight 135lbs.

Thank you.

Polkadotties · 25/05/2020 11:25

Morning all. Weighed in at 193lbs/13.11st.
Ive been low carbing for a few weeks and have been bouncing around between 191 and 194lbs so hopefully this will break the barrier

OldLace · 25/05/2020 11:29

Can anyone add me to the spreadsheet please?
I am hopeless at tech and having a challening day so far...
I am 165lbs. 5 ft 7. In my dreams, I'd like to be 135lbs but any sustained loss is great :)

I've not planned this week (the weekend was busy) but I'm aiming for eating only between 10-6pm (but I can get wobbly so might need to adjust this to 8-6pm). Breakfast will be 4 nuggets of frozen spinach, lightly buttered, with 2 scrambled eggs. Lunch will be a can of tuna, salad leaves, tomatoes and cucumber, oily dressing, olives (?)
Dinner will be either a cheese omelette or egg 'muffins' made with tesco frozen med veg mix (peppers, onions, tomatoes, courgette, aubergine) more salad leaves. Aiming for 3 litres of water (normally 0.5 max) and only 2 black coffees a day (normally lots, with milk)
Hope this will be okay. I need to eat the same thing each day this week, as wont have time to plan more later.

prettybird · 25/05/2020 11:41

Waves at OldLace Smile

You can do this! Thanks

AthelstaneTheUnready · 25/05/2020 11:41

You're on, @whereiscaroline, and have added your weight, @OldLace

gruntley123 · 25/05/2020 11:43

@ramarama hits my point BIWI: 'Eek, i've never weighed this much - and it looks so much worse when it's converted from kilos..... :-('

The kg thing is more a mental sticking plaster until I get to the point where I can look at my weight in lbs and not weep :(

I don't mind the weeping per se, it's more the fact that it's likely to trigger my inner voice that will just tell me I'm hopeless and there's no point trying. Somehow I can be so much more objective when looking at a kg #.

MarkRuffaloCrumble · 25/05/2020 11:58

Another one here weighing in at my heaviest ever Sad. A combination of lockdown and changing my thyroid meds (due to lockdown Angry ) has meant I’m a stone and a half more than my previous heaviest weight. Started last week on a bootcamp light idea and lost 8lb!! So at least the first number is now not quite as scary Grin. Will add myself to the spreadsheet later when I’m on my laptop. Thank you BIWI and Athelstane FlowersBrew

ramarama · 25/05/2020 11:58

@gruntley123 I'm the opposite - I think in kgs, so the amount in lls means nothing to me. the kilos amount is much more scary. I might switch to that.....

SophieRay · 25/05/2020 12:00

That's exactly why I took my measurements in cm instead of inches gruntley Grin. Done my exercise, 1 litre water down, made DD homemade pancakes and didn't eat any Halo. Struggled with this last hour until I could eat, hopefully it will get easier - spent the last half hour reading this thread to keep me going. BIWI - I did download the google docs, but couldn't get it to work, it did work ok the desktop though so I'm all updated now thanks Smile
