Morning campers Flowers

Once more for you, the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I hope it's been a good week, and I hope that the scales have been kind to you this morning.

If not, and if you haven't been cheating (!) then just remember that weeks 3 & 4 are notorious for seeing very little or no weight loss. KOKO (keep on keep on) and hopefully things will soon get going again.

Here's to a good week! Smile

Congrats all on your losses! and Flowers for anyone who hasn't lost - koko!

I'm down two pounds this week to 13st 1, which I'm happy with. I'm due AF and it always messes with my hunger levels and my weight so might not weight myself this week!

B - total yoghurt
L - chicken breast in mushroom sauce, green beans
D - my weird homemade yuk sung with pork mince which skips out the carrots, reduces the soy sauce and skips the oyster sauce. Still very tasty with iceberg lettuce!
I did have a bit of 90% dark choc afterwards - it stops me from craving other chocolates when I've got PMS! Blush

rosesandsunflowers · 04/11/2019 20:16

Well done everyone with their losses. I totally forgot to weigh this morning so will do it tomorrow but definitely not expecting a loss as I was a bit naughty and ate some carbs and had some wine at the weekend!
Today's menu
B: scrambled eggs
L: left over LC moussaka (highly recommend this - made it last night and everyone gobbled it up (including the 16month old and 4 yr old). It's delicious.
D: couldn't be bothered with cooking so have had some Brussels sprouts in butter. When my shop order arrives I may well have some pork scratchings.

I'm full of cold and trying hard to drink my water - has 2.5 litres today but feel freezing. It's ok to drink herbal teas isn't it? Like mint tea?

IWillWearTheGreenWillow · 04/11/2019 20:34

Greebols that's a massive NSV. You must be so chuffed!

It sounds like IF is something I should swerve for now, to avoid complicating things further. There's no way I can get to 11am on just water / herbal tea (although thanks for your note on cream Nononon); and it's not taking me down to 2 meals a day either, so it sounds like a hiding to nothing! I'll sort out this WOE and my digestive relationship with food groups first.

Today's food:
B BNS soup with pate and cucumber, seeded "crackers" and marmite.
L left over HM chicken korma (made with coconut cream and a little yoghurt) and cauliflower rice
D IPD moussaka with spinach added, served with green salad.

So Much Bloody Water!

KondoKonvert · 04/11/2019 20:36

@rosesandsunflowers I definitely count herbal tea towards my water intake!

Food for the day:

B: scrambled egg with buttery mushrooms

L: cream of low carb veg soup

D: leftover roast chicken with cream cheese and broccoli

Good amount of water!

rosesandsunflowers · 04/11/2019 20:48

Thanks @KondoKonvert off to make a large mug of hot mint tea!!

KondoKonvert · 04/11/2019 20:52

Enjoy! I love the Twinings buttermint tea. It smells like the sweets and it's lovely after dinner!

Rshard · 04/11/2019 21:05

Fabulous NSV greebols!

All this talk of herbal tea has really made me fancy some - will be a nice alternative now it’s colder. I had some bouillon in my locker at work, had some and it tasted a little odd. Went out of date last December! Bought a new tub.

venusandmars · 04/11/2019 21:35

GreenWillow I think it's a good idea to really understand how this way of eating works best for you, and for your family / lifestyle. This is potentially a long term change so there is no rush. Take it steadily, adapting and changing as you go along.

Sometimes people find that as they become fat adapted they feel much less hungry and find some kind of time restricted eating is easily do-able. Others don't. Some use it if their weight loss is stalling, or for other health benefits. But the worst thing is to try it, feel hungry, and 'accidentally' fill up on some carbs.

absopugginglutely · 04/11/2019 21:52

Some great losses well done ladies!!
I made it to the gym finally and really enjoyed my workout! Half an hour cross trainer and ten minute weights!
I’ve had 3.5 litres of water today- having loads of water earlier in the day has worked well for me today, I’ve pulled the massive glass beaker out of our cafetière and have been just drinking my lemony water out of- just three and I’m done, somehow having a litre glass makes it easier.

B: 2 egg buttery omelette
L: on the run so crappy but low carb. 2 pepperami, 3 weird dairily cheese string things.
Dinner: beef Bolognese, whole bag of watercress
2x cream coffees

Good day- looking forward to gym again on Wednesday

Nonononon · 04/11/2019 22:09

D was: tin of tuna with mayo, bag of mixed salad leaves, half cucumber ('pickled' in apple cider vinegar) and two eggs.

stayathomegardener · 04/11/2019 23:03

What is NSV? New Svelte Vision?

Nonononon · 04/11/2019 23:06

Non scale victory Grin

stayathomegardener · 04/11/2019 23:13

Of course!

Thanks.

SittingontheSidelines · 05/11/2019 04:03

Hi @IWillWearTheGreenWillow. I usually do IF. One of the main advantages I find is it stops me snacking at night knowing that I'll have to wait longer to eat the next day. From what I've read it's the sixteen hour window without eating that's most important, so if you decide to have another go at it later on worth doing even if you still eat three meals within your eight hour eating window, (these would likely reduce over time.) Also if it's too long to go sixteen hours start with twelve, build up, it will still be of benefit. I always used to have a cream coffee or almond milk latte within my fast period but don't need it now, the longer you do LCHF the easier it becomes. But whatever feels right for you is what's best to do.

Twit · 05/11/2019 07:29

It looks as if I've stopped puffing up, and I've thankfully remained the same weight. I feel it though, and I'm all shaky and lethargic again and my joints and muscles ache too. And I feel a bit sick. Woe is me, generally 😭Grin Ugh.
But at least I have stopped gaining - it'll be interesting to see when it comes off again.
I stuck to my meal plan yesterday, and got my 3 litres in, so I'm happy with that as well.
Today I'm going to try and make broccoli and stilton soup.
Breakfast: egg and tea with a tiny splash of full fat lactose free milk.
Dinner: soup (hopefully 😬)
Tea: depending on how I feel, meat & buttery greens, or soup.

Congratulations to you all on your losses! Hope you all have a good day 😊

Nonononon · 05/11/2019 09:09

Small nsv this morning.
The skinny jeans that I bought 4 weeks ago (which were as tight as can be) are now baggy.. So much so that they don't look like skinny jeans anymore and I'll need a belt to wear them.. (kind of disappointed as I really liked the way they fitted before Grin)

Food today.
I have loads of belly pork slow cooking in the oven in some garlic, ginger and soy sauce, I'll take it out in a few hours then roast it out of the juices so it goes nice and crispy.
Broth is still cooking away, that'll be ready at 1ish. Struck lucky this time. The bucher gave me what looks like a joint bone (either hip, knee or ankle.. it's beef so most likely ankle as it's not massive) along with some marrow bones and the broth looks better than last time when I just used marrow bones, So I'm looking forward to having some later with loads of veg and some of the belly pork. Yum. (May just have that for Lunch AND dinner today tbh Grin)

BIWI · 05/11/2019 09:26

@Twit - make sure you're getting enough salt (as well as the other key electrolytes, magnesium and potassium). That should stop the shaky feeling.

So - add salt to your food, cook with it. Try a hot drink made from Oxo or Bovril or Marmite. Salmon, avocado, nuts, spinach and full fat natural yoghurt are all good sources of the other electrolytes.

Alternatively, you could buy a supplement - Zero by High5 is a good one. Buy from the High5 website or Holland & Barrett, Evans Cycles

Ooh Nono, that broth sounds lovely!!

Feeling a bit woolly headed here today, had a really soporific camomile tea last night and can't seem to shake the effects. Gave myself an extra half hour in bed, and having a breakfast of babybel, Biltong and icy water seems to be doing the trick - maybe a lack of salts / carb - flu after my weekends carby feast! Hey ho. Half a lb down (daily weigher, I like my graph) so can't be too grumpy.

Ooh Greebo how did I miss that amazing NSV!! Wowzers!! And Nono and your non skinny skinnies!

DownUdderer · 05/11/2019 09:42

I’m in a mini plateau at the moment.

venusandmars · 05/11/2019 09:48

tmi alert...

So over the weekend / last couple of days, I've either accidentally eaten something which has loads of carbs, sugar etc or I've maybe got some kind of tummy bug.

I've been doing this woe for a long time and like others on here I've found that my digestive system is now well-manned and calm Grin However on Saturday evening everything in my gut was gurgling, gurgling, gurgling... Then Sunday evening I had a couple of sharp crampy feelings, and yesterday my whole abdomen was really tender.

Nothing out of the ordinary in the 'toilet department' but I feel bloated and uncomfortable. Still. It's so long since I've had any digestive discomfort that it feels quite strange. And to think that this used to be my life!

Monday I was 1.5 lb up and today I'm another 2lb up. So I'm on a simple regime: boiled egg, mashed avocado, light soups, herbal teas until my tummy calms down again.

Nonononon · 05/11/2019 10:03

Thanks 8track!

Can I hit you all with some more tmi this morning?? Blush
I'd like to know if anyone knows what this is/has experienced this themselves or if i should be concerned.

Almost every day, when I have a meal i get very watery diarrhoea right after eating Blush it's like my bowels are totally emptying but it's all liquid, I still have solid poos (Blush) every day but it's just this thing with the diarrhoea after eating.. my guess is it's just my body getting used to the excess fat??

BIWI · 05/11/2019 10:07

@DownUdderer don't forget we're in week 4 - this week (and last week) are notorious for seeing little or no weight loss. Don't panic, but KOKO and all should get going again soon.

Meal plan for the day:

B: mushroom omelette with butter and cream

L: low carb veg soup with chicken, avocado, bacon and mayo on the side

D: low carb Scotch egg with salad

Aiming for a Jillian Michaels session later...either a 30 Day Shred or a Yoga Meltdown!

Doilooklikeatourist · 05/11/2019 12:59

NSV here too , my black jeans which last week were cutting me in half and very tight on the thigh
Were easy to put on ( straight off the drier rack ) and loose on the leg
Won’t post any photos ( might put you off your lunch .... ) of my mini muffin top , this time last year I had a whole Victoria Sandwich top 😀
So progress ❤️
@Nonononon , that doesn’t sound right , most of us ( I think ) suffer from nothing moving , not what you have mentioned

LittleSwede · 05/11/2019 13:00

Just popping in with meal plan for today:

B - 2 boiled eggs and some tuna mayo. Creamy coffee
L - Tuna mayo with salad
D - Lamb and cauliflower cheese

And water. managed to dodge the Maryland cookies my lovely colleague kept on offering.
