Morning all!

here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness once more

So now we've completed the first half of Bootcamp. Some trials and tribulations along the way, but hopefully you've all settled into the swing of things and it's becoming easier and more like second nature.

Just a reminder - if you haven't already - to check out the recipe threads, which are all stickied at the top of the Bootcamp topic. Some really nice ideas there to inspire you.

And also, just in case you haven't seen this thread here's one which is about good low carb products that people have come across

If you post on that thread - and please do! - please post a photo of the front of the pack and also the nutritional info on the back of the pack.

Helloooo lovely bootcampers! I used the car to the airport inGreece to catch up on the whole week I missed Halo
Have been thoroughly off plan for a week of 5* half board with carbs coming in the main from copious assorted breads and dabbling with the sweet table on the incredible breakfast buffet. I limited the fresh OJ to max one a day, had very few beers and no cocktails, sticking mostly to daily wine. Food was great, lots of fish/meat with veg/salad. Did have dessert most days but no afternoon ice creams or indeed anything much between late breakfast and toddler timed evening meal.
I'll weigh in the morning and it will not be pretty. I have a meeting across the country tomorrow but otherwise I'll mainly be eating eggs for a few days. DH will mostly be away/out this week so easy to keep it basic.
Short term gain is quick to lose, right?!
Well done all for KOKOing and Thanksfor those of you who've needed it.

Still catching up (with interruptions) on Week 5 thread and have to say:

Nink “I just wish I could be somebody else.” this broke my heart. I don’t know you, but I certainly don’t want you to be somebody else. Actually, I quite like Nink and don’t want her replaced!

MrsKoala it can be so hard sometimes. Every day, every moment, every microscopic choice. You are doing great by just checking in.

Cloverleaf Grin Grin Grin Excellent post.

MrsTerryPratchett · 17/06/2019 15:40

Actually, I quite like Nink and don’t want her replaced!

Me too. I like Original Nink, not Cherry Nink or New Nink.

m0therofdragons · 17/06/2019 16:12

Wow @tootstastic that's fab. Dropping to the next stone is always the hardest pound to lose!

Hideous day at work. How is it not 5pm yet?! Will use all my willpower not to down a bottle of wine this evening... actually I don't have any so should be fine but in my head a cold white wine is needed. Dh won't be home until 10pm so on my own with lively twins. Clearly I should treasure every moment with them but I just want to binge watch greys anatomy Grin

On plan so far. Must resist Father's Day chocolate cake!

tootstastic · 17/06/2019 16:14

Thanks @1Wildheartsease

You'll be in those shorts in no time @VeryLittleOwl What a difference!

Get well soon @NigellaAwesome

Thanks @Rshard and weighing on a Monday is always tough after the weekend, so your fri idea might help.

@TheWayOfTheWorld I love your photo nsv, esp as I'm a bit of a camera dodger myself, lovely to have some pics you like.

@ShagMeRiggins Boris Johnson Tartiflette🤣 Twatiflette might be it's new name (sorry @BIWI it does look delicious).

tootstastic · 17/06/2019 16:17

Thanks @m0therofdragons funnily enough I'm just binge watching GoT! Sorry you're having a crap day at work, hope 5pm comes quickly for you, only 45 mins left.

Rshard · 17/06/2019 17:16

I have Father’s Day chocolate cake to resist too m0ther, we can do it!

I like nink too!

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 17/06/2019 18:39

Didn't get a chance to weigh in today - will do it tomorrow!

MumbleLumble · 17/06/2019 18:50

I've been looking forward to my steak all day and then I go and over cook it Sad

blackteaplease · 17/06/2019 19:50

There are some excellent losses from people on here. I forgot to weigh this morning but also usually have a blip over the weekend, usually from too much wine.

NigellaAwesome · 17/06/2019 20:28

Mumbles probably too late now, but if I cook a steak too well done, I slice it diagonally and a quick chimi churri sauce would have made it juicier.

Rshard · 17/06/2019 20:38

blackteaplease, why don’t you join me on a Friday weigh in? I’m hoping that seeing a good result will keep me firmly on track over the weekend

Almahart · 17/06/2019 20:45

I weigh every day and go with the lowest weight of the week

ShagMeRiggins · 17/06/2019 21:12

I weigh every day and go with the lowest weight of the week

Makes my heart sing, Almahart. It’s a good strategy for daily weighers.

blackteaplease · 17/06/2019 21:42

Good plan @Rshard.

Rshard · 17/06/2019 21:44

Do you find there’s much variation alma? I guess it’s all progress though isn’t it

Grimbles · 17/06/2019 21:46

The tartiflette was even more amazing than I thought it would be. I used 4 different cheeses in mine - cheddar, emmenthal, roquefort and parmesan.

Definately one I'll do again, thanks BIWI!

1Wildheartsease · 17/06/2019 21:50

Thanks @ShagMeRiggins (always love your name).
And Nink - don't change except to feel better soon.

Working away from home - always more of a challenge as we are catered for . Shhhh -I do have a bag of trusty snacks under the table :)

-yogurt and berries +coffee and cream
-less water than usual (train journey ahead)
-almonds and cheese on the train - with black tea (Is railway tea dangerous? The waiter asked me twice if I wanted milk and seemed disbelieving when I said no. I've noticed that in our culture, milk is always added to new and possibly dangerous foods to make them safe: exotic things like rice and bananas =rice pudding / bananas and custard. I suppose tea was exotic - and therefore required the addition of milk when it first arrived here.)
-steak and salad - coffee and cream (a bit wicked to have a second creamy treat but better than dessert.)
-water and peppermint tea to help make up for not drinking the usual ocean earlier.

Almahart · 17/06/2019 22:11

Funny you should ask that Rshard ....

I am nearly always at my lowest on a Friday, I find it quite easy bit to smack during the week and will always drink wine at the weekend. But downwards trajectory is down over longer period do it makes no difference really

starsky22 · 17/06/2019 22:29

I really struggled with everything last week, felt anxious all week for some unknown reason. Had lots going on and couldn't fully stick to low carb for one reason or another, it was all beginning to feel like a chore and was getting me down. Then on Friday after quite a few drinks ended up having pizza for dinner and struggled to get back on track at the weekend. I didn't post on the thread at all last week, I really should have done for some support, but didn't feel up to it. Feeling better today, like a fog has lifted and feeling positive and that I can stick to low carb. Will weigh in tomorrow and see what the damage is, couldn't face it today!

Also need to go back and catch up on last week's thread.

Some great losses today! Well done toots for getting into 13 and owl the difference in that photo is amazing! I love the before and after photos, so inspiring!

1Wildheartsease · 17/06/2019 22:36

Owl those photos are inspiring!

tootstastic · 17/06/2019 22:54

Thanks @starsky22 and glad you're feeling better, it's hard going when you're not quite tip top. Well done for sticking with it.

Summery1 · 17/06/2019 23:30

Well done all. Fantastic to move into a new stone! I'm actually up .25 but I weighed lighter yesterday, so I'm recording it as unchanged. 11st 6.25, from 11st 13, so almost a half stone. I did some measurements and my arms and legs have lost about an inch in circumference so I'm delighted with that.

Today:
B: 3 eggs with spinach mushrooms and asparagus
L: Caesar salad
D: 1chicken thigh, fried with onion and mushrooms. Added a sliced tomato and green beans, cream and g yogurt. It was my nicest dinner in ages - I so needed to do a shop.
Snack: cheese, olives, ham.

I was also back at exercise today. I swam 2,300m before breakfast and cycled 40k this evening. I feel really good for it.

18pagesfrontandback · 17/06/2019 23:43

Evening campers

Haven’t weighed in yet, maybe tmw, but likely Wednesday as I’ve had wine tonight following a sleepless night last night, and a reappearing kitchen ceiling leak which has involved ripping up bathroom floor/kitchen ceiling today and making a mess everywhere. I’ve put my gym membership to good use though... went there for a shower earlier to get dust out as hot water off until pipe fixed. That should be covered by last month’s fees?

Am going to join the Friday weighers. I also find I’m at my best on a Fri and much more likely to keep on track over weekend if I’ve officially recognised a bit of progress.

I do feel like I’ve stalled in my drive with this a bit. Food still 99% ok, but medicinal wine becoming more frequent and with that much easier to overeat or get a bit carbier. It’s been a difficult few weeks but I know I need to get back on top of my shit again if I don’t want to derail completely. Am feeling hopeful this is the week (whilst trying not to add too much pressure) so am going to up the water, sit on my hands in the evenings and try to get some extra exercise in to help with sleep/relaxation.

Well done all on your losses, and solidarity with those stalling or struggling. We will all KOKO and get there in the end, it’s a marathon and all that...

Almahart · 18/06/2019 06:27

Sorry my post didn’t make much sense - I find it easier not to snack during the week

Flowers to everyone struggling, I get it x
