Morning all.

Here's the spreadsheet

Hopefully we will all have successfully navigated the dreaded weeks 3 and 4, and can move seamlessly into week 5, where the scales should be set to be kind to us from now on. The rate of loss will be slower from here on, but a weekly loss of 1-2lbs should be achievable.

I have an interesting week, as our kitchen extension gets underway. At the same time, I have family visiting from Canada, so providing for them is going to be interesting! I suspect we'll be visiting a lot of local hostelries over the next 3 days Grin

Anyway, good luck everyone, and hope this is a good week for us all.

Todays food has been:

Lunch: egg mayo with pancetta mixed in.

Dinner: m&s 'best ever burger' with a cheese, gherkin and tomato melt. Roasted mushrooms, pepper, shallots with feta

Snacks: olives, pork scratchings, rollitos

AllOverIt · 11/06/2019 21:55

Can I join? I've been keto since April and hit a bit of a plateau. So annoying. Was IF (16/8) also (have been doing that since October) so going to try back to 3 meals a day for a fortnight to see if it shocks my body back into losing fat again. Then back to IF

Rshard · 11/06/2019 22:00

Lol at poophoria!!

Share your pain youwannapizzame, I’m at a meeting with lunch tomorrow - we shall see.

Welcome alloverit, @athlestane can add you to the spreadsheet I’m sure, if you’d like? It isn’t mandatory. Lots of support on here

m0therofdragons · 11/06/2019 22:16

@Youwanapizzame get a bacon butty with lots of butter then eat the bacon leaving the bread.

Youwanapizzame · 11/06/2019 22:32

@motherofdragons I fear if I pick up a bacon sarnie I might inhale it... it's at 8.30.... I'm quite often a little late on Wednesdays too due to nursery drop off (I do make it up!) I might fling the kids out the car window without stopping tomorrow....

Summery1 · 11/06/2019 23:01

Cloud bread! Like a baked pancake. Not awful.

MrsBertBibby · 11/06/2019 23:08

Looks good!

Summery1 · 11/06/2019 23:18

I made the smallest portion (1 egg) as I assume it won't keep, and I don't want to scarf 6 of them. I could have a bacon sarnie with a fried egg for breakfast.

Todays food:
B: mushrooms asparagus tomato, 3 scrambled eggs with spinach and feta.
L: chicken, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, mayonnaise and pesto. Coffee with cream.
D: chicken stock with cream, strawberries.

Need a bit of advice - big dinner on Saturday. Will carb avoid as much as possible but am I better to keep my intake to nothing the day before or a day after?

AllOverIt · 12/06/2019 04:40

Thanks @Rshard. Happy to go on the spreadsheet. Do you need some stats?

Rshard · 12/06/2019 05:58

Just your starting weight alloverit, or some people choose to count the pounds down from a 100. @athlestane will need to add you as I said as I believe it’s locked so it doesn’t get messed up.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 12/06/2019 07:12

I want a croissant! Confused

Almahart · 12/06/2019 07:35

I’m at that point of BC where I’m starting to get a bit sick of it I’m afraid

Had chicken ramen last night made with bare naked noodles and I have decided they really are too plasticky

However - I seem to have had a massive whoosh!!!! From 11’6 to 11’2. I’m amazed

I did a yoga class yesterday with very deep stretches and I wonder if that somehow kick started things

IStillMissBlockbuster · 12/06/2019 07:50

I know what you mean Almahart. I'm not actually sick of the meals i'm having, or feeling especially deprived of starchy carbs, but I am starting to wish for a treat every now and then. I'm thinking though, that there's only 5 weeks left which is no time at all really and if I can keep up losing 1lb a week then I can stop bootcamping and go on to maintenance.

That whoosh has got to be super encouraging! Well done.

readyforsunshine · 12/06/2019 08:40

I want a whooshSad well done almahartSmile
I’m not feeling great so struggling a bit, also feeling a bit stuck with the food. I’ve lost 5lbs but bobbing up & down so it doesn’t feel secure yet & I go on holiday in 2 weeks. I feel like a couple of days in & I’ll be back where I started so what’s the point?

Bloodybigbabybelly · 12/06/2019 08:42

Okay I did weigh myself on Monday and it has taken until today for me to stop having a tantrum worthy of my two year old Grin
I put on 4lbs Shock
Please could someone check what I am eating..
Breakfast creamy coffee
Lunch chicken and bacon salad loads of mayo
Dinner chilli cauliflower rice and a little bit of cheese.
Don't normally snack but if I do it's a few pork scratchings.

Well I think I will just koko as my jeans don't cut in.

TheWayOfTheWorld · 12/06/2019 08:44

@wasgoingmadinthecountry I would try and eat (LCHF) well beforehand so that I was less tempted by the carby stuff and then hit FLGV hard the next day to extent you do indulge.

@Almahart that is a brilliant whoosh! Still waiting for mine, still pinging between 147 and 148. But, NSV, my mum took some photographs of me yesterday and I actually didn't hate them!

Here's the view with my breakfast of Greek yoghurt, strawberries, creamy coffee and rollitos Smile

TheWayOfTheWorld · 12/06/2019 08:50

@readyforsunshine the point is that if you hadn't done this you would be in an even worse position!

And why will it all slide? I am about to sound a bit preachy now (sorry but I am still well in the zone!) you can find lots of lovely LCHF food in most places, it's about resetting our mindset to realise that all these "treats" are no such thing - they attack our body and make us feel miserable ourselves.

Try and hang on to the feeling you get when that item of clothing stops being too tight, when someone notices you've lost weight, when you feel smug for turning down pudding - and remember it each time you are tempted. #expect I will need to read this in a few weeks and take my own advice Grin

m0therofdragons · 12/06/2019 08:52

Oh wow @TheWayOfTheWorld is that Florence? Not jealous at all zips up winter coat and heads to work

readyforsunshine · 12/06/2019 08:54

Thanks the way Smile

prettybird · 12/06/2019 09:06

A friend of mine who follows a HFLC Way of Eating (her dh started it to - successfully - reverse his Diabetes) was saying yesterday that they'd been to France for a week and had some carbs - a few croissants and a bit of bread and a couple of patisseries, but not pasta or potatoes - and a lot of salads and fresh food (staying in a villa for her dd and her family). They were surprised when they got back to only have put on 2lb, which they've lost already purely by getting back on the wagon Smile

TheWayOfTheWorld · 12/06/2019 09:59

@m0therofdragons yes it is - is roasting. Apparently we also managed to pick the busiest week of the year... Hmm

m0therofdragons · 12/06/2019 10:04

That doesn't make me any less jealous Grin
Have a fabulous time!

venusandmars · 12/06/2019 10:14

@TheWayOfTheWorld please don't tell us how warm it is! Grin It's like March here - cold, windy, grey.

@BloodBigBabyBelly are you drinking loads of water? It doesn't look like you are eating a lot, can you add more fat? add butter as well as cream to your coffee, add an avocado and olive oil to your salad (how much bacon was in your salad? add more!), add a fried egg to your chilli cauliflower rice. It seems counter- intuitive to eat more but sometime more fat helps.

B - bullet proof coffee (coffee whizzed with butter and cream)
L - left over cauliflower cheese with salad
D - sausages, oven roasted tomatoes in olive oil, fried mushrooms, buttered spinach

readyforsunshine · 12/06/2019 10:25

Prettybird that’s reassuring. I’m happy to stick to (in the main) but will def want to eat lots of fruit, probably will drink daily & may not be able to say no totally to bread.
Theway have an amazing time, looks beautiful
