Morning all.

Here's the spreadsheet

Hopefully we will all have successfully navigated the dreaded weeks 3 and 4, and can move seamlessly into week 5, where the scales should be set to be kind to us from now on. The rate of loss will be slower from here on, but a weekly loss of 1-2lbs should be achievable.

I have an interesting week, as our kitchen extension gets underway. At the same time, I have family visiting from Canada, so providing for them is going to be interesting! I suspect we'll be visiting a lot of local hostelries over the next 3 days Grin

Anyway, good luck everyone, and hope this is a good week for us all.

TheWayOfTheWorld hi 👋 Twinny. I’m loving the thought that there is another one of ‘me’ out there Grin

prettybird · 10/06/2019 16:05

catontherun - of course you can join in Smile Ask @AthelstaneTheUnready if you want to be on the spreadsheet. BTW: you don't need to get out your calculator - one of the tabs does stones to pounds calculations, as well as from kg Grin

Have a careful read of the rules - and it can also be helpful to read through earlier threads (especially Week 1 and Week 3) to see what people have been experiencing.

Remember: lots of water, lots of fat, lots of salt - and a FLGV (Fuck Load of Green Veg Wink) Grin

tootstastic · 10/06/2019 16:09

Aww thanks for the love everyone! I do feel a million times better, but know I've still got a long way to go.

My goal is 9st 5lbs, which would puts in the middle of BMI for my height, but no idea if that will feel right or even if it's possible to get there yet.

For now, I'll just keep plodding along and hope for the best.

prettybird · 10/06/2019 16:20

Brilliant progress tootstastic FlowersStar

Am I remembering correctly and at the beginning of your "journey" you were railing against the Rules and the lack of progress? Or was that someone else? Blush Could have been any number of us Wink

tootstastic · 10/06/2019 16:27

Thanks @prettybird no I don't think that was me about the rules (conformist that I am Grin) but I've definitely whined about my lack of progress each time I've stalled a bit. I am THE world's most impatient person.

TheWayOfTheWorld · 10/06/2019 17:04

@KooMoo - poor you, another me! 🤪

@prettybird, I seem to remember that ilovecherries took a bit of persuading at first?

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 10/06/2019 17:21

Send me willpower, fellow Bootcampers. I've brought the DC to the chippy for their tea, and I'm finding it sooooo hard to resist pinching some chips...Confused

prettybird · 10/06/2019 17:27

Chips from the chippy will there tomorrow, or the day after, or next week, or next month, or next year Grin

Tell yourself you can have one when you've reached target if you still want one Wink There is nothing special about having one today - and indeed, there is something not special about breaking the Boot Camp Rules.

So Step. AWAY. From. The. Chips. Halo

EatenalltheEasterEggs · 10/06/2019 17:58

13st 9 so 1 pound off. Not happy because I’ve been so good this week and thought I’d do better than that especially after gaining half a pound last week. Had cream and/or full fat Total strawberries for a few breakfasts and 1 square of 90% chocolate on a couple of days. Started putting cream in coffee. Would hate it if I had to curtail dairy.

SittingontheSidelines · 10/06/2019 18:40

Lunch was left over cherry with broccoli cauliflower (butter and cheese on) and yogurt.

Dinner was spicy burgers with cheese, mustard, dressed leaves, cucumber, cherry tomatoes.

I did not feel overly full but do think I've eaten rather a lot today.

Youwanapizzame · 10/06/2019 19:20

Mmmmm cherry and broccoli! Hold up Heston

mrwalkensir · 10/06/2019 19:24

WELL.....was v poor yesterday with carbs and alcohol, but still 11 stone 9 this morning so v v v happy. First time (thanks to BIWI and the rest of you) that I've ever gone for the bigger picture/long haul. Find it easy to go back to the LC after a day of debauchery. And the weight change means that I know it's real at last ...

Sent DP to the shop to get some dark chocolate. Luckily I'm one of those weird people that will leave a bar in the fridge and have one piece a week even without this way of eating but I really fancy some. Dinner was chicken drumsticks and feta salad, DP is getting chippy chips, not sure if it's just me but looking at that kind of food now makes me feel like I'll suffer tomorrow and don't even want it now.

Summery1 · 10/06/2019 20:40

Namechange5575 thanks for the tip. I'll try it.

Catontherun welcome.
B: 3 eggs with mozzarella
L: salmon FLGV
D: to be decided

prettybird · 10/06/2019 20:46

Had a lovely supper of chicken breast stuffed with Boursin and wrapped in Parma ham, drizzled with olive oil and a squirt of lemon juice and baked. Served with roasted (in olive oil again Wink) asparagus.

Dh and ds had rice with it - but I took most of the asparagus. I'm stuffed! Grin

Off to drink more water Smile

Rshard · 10/06/2019 20:50

Snap prettybird, we had the same chicken!

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 10/06/2019 20:53

My appetite has suddenly decreased. Despite not having lunch - I had a snack of pork scratchings and a babybel later on - I've only managed half my dinner.

Grimbles · 10/06/2019 21:31

7lbs off this week, although I think I might have a slight rebound upwards.

I saw these in Decathlon earlier are they bootcamp compatible? The blurb says carb free?

GrinAuto correct again. Sorry it was curry, sounds boring now.

MrsKoala · 10/06/2019 21:53

Thank you for adding me to the spreadsheet. :)

I agree with the 'suffering later'. A couple of weeks ago I had pasta for the first time since Jan and even tho I had a really tiny portion I got the most awful stomach pains and bloating. I realised that I was bloated and uncomfortable every single evening previously and I had just got used to it. While I love pasta and I miss it probably more than any other food - it really isn't worth that discomfort.

BIWI · 10/06/2019 21:53

Welcome @Catontherun!

Well done @Grimbles! 7lbs in a week is fab. The tabs are fine, but bear in mind that they do have artificial sweeteners in, so only use occasionally/when you really need them.

Builders came this morning and put a load of plastic stuff down on the floor, and all the way up the stairs, and then plastic sheeting covering stuff in the living room. Not much else they could do with the weather being so awful.

Both cats are totally traumatised by it already - and the little cat only just put in an appearance about 20 minutes ago, totally drenched!

Off to play tourists in London tomorrow, starting with watching the changing of the guard at Buckingham palace. Just hope it doesn't rain again!

I've actually developed a taste for unsweetened almond milk mixed with double cream and warmed up. I have a glass before bed.

Leelaseye · 10/06/2019 22:13

3lb off this week for me. Had a pimms and quite a bit of red wine at the weekend though which I feel will come back and bite me on the arse at some point.
Also started putting peanut butter on my square of dark chocolate and snaffled a pink shrimp from one of the kids party bags. Can't seem to help myself.

venusandmars · 10/06/2019 23:20

Been away for a few days so not weighed - will add to the spreadsheet tomorrow.

Disrupted day today:
Eggs for breakfast
Out for lunch - langoustines with mayonnaise, salad with oil and buttered green veg
missed tea so snacked on some coconut
Late supper - avocado, mozzarella, tomato salad with some radishes and cucumber
