Morning all.

Here's the spreadsheet

Hopefully we will all have successfully navigated the dreaded weeks 3 and 4, and can move seamlessly into week 5, where the scales should be set to be kind to us from now on. The rate of loss will be slower from here on, but a weekly loss of 1-2lbs should be achievable.

I have an interesting week, as our kitchen extension gets underway. At the same time, I have family visiting from Canada, so providing for them is going to be interesting! I suspect we'll be visiting a lot of local hostelries over the next 3 days Grin

Anyway, good luck everyone, and hope this is a good week for us all.

Athelstane - Please could you add me to the list? Not to worry if it's too late.

I had a NSV when I measured for a new bra and I have gone from 37 under bust and 41 over to 35 under and 39 over. So I've gone down 2in on my top half. I'm actually avoiding exercise as it bulks me up. I need to swim, pilates and spin a small amount really. Everything else makes my thighs and calfs huge (or even huger thn they are now!).

18pagesfrontandback · 10/06/2019 09:58

I’m down 1.8lb this week to 163.2 BUT that’s only 1.2lb down in total since start of bc so not as good as it sounds.
I’ve been doing my usual bounce-up-and-down-within-2-pounds-for-weeks-on-end since bc started, so have been expecting a whoosh at some point.

Thought a whoosh might be this week but I have been a bit less ‘good’ the past few weeks, since allowing wine back in (which I’d pretty much given up since start of yr), AND period is due today or tmw and I usually lose a bit of water weight then, so I may weigh again later in week.

Will see what the next few days brings but might have to ban the booze entirely again or risk completely demotivating myself because of perceived lack of progress. This is a potential falling off the wagon weight plateau for me, it’s beaten me a few times in past, so I really need to KOKO and get into the 150’s if I can. Literally can’t remember when that last happened. Would wager over a decade ago though.

Morning Campers! Piddling it down here. Sounds yuk @BIWI. Best laid plams and all that. Hopefully having your visitors will take your mind off the building work a bit!

@mother great nsv with the trews! Well jell of the trip to spice girls even though its rainy! It'll be good fun.

Doing a big chicken in the slow cooker today. So that's dinners sorted for a couple of nights.

Right 4lbs off this week. Well as sure as I can be on the weird scales. Maybe I'll drop into the 100s next week!!! Last week before holiday 😁

Right its housework day today. Got a get on. I'll check in later

BIWI: ”Here’s the spreadsheet blah blah...” ”Our building work starts today -...”

Me: ...ah, here comes BIWI’s helpful, motivational, new week thread-opening speech to rally the troops... Clearly all about regrouping after the dreaded week 3/4 stall...

”...demolishing the brick- built shed...”

Me: Que? Hmm
Me:
Me: now steady on BIWI, I wouldn’t call it... ahhhh, I seeeeee - extension.

I thought for a moment you’d traded the stick in for a sledge hammer and I was not prepared for that. Grin

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 10/06/2019 10:17

Morning! 2lb off this week - I'll take that! It brings me down to a total loss of 15lbs.

I'm sure I look thinner than I am too - I can see my ribs (though tbf they always poke out a bit, years of vocal training has left me with massive lungs) and my stomach is the flattest it's ever been post-DC. Getting to wear clothes I haven't worn in years, too! Grin

BIWI · 10/06/2019 10:21

@18pagesfrontandback

Now there's an idea ...

Morning - congrats on all the losses and NSVs!

I am 0.8lb down this morning, taking me to bang on 147lbs. So looking for a woosh sooner rather than later. Off on a mother-daughter trip to Rome tomorrow so need to navigate all the pasta and pizza Confused. Planning on lots of mozzarella, salads, meats etc but may have the odd ice-cream.

TheWayOfTheWorld · 10/06/2019 10:27

@18pagesfrontandback brilliant! Isn't the technical term "built like a brick shit house"?? Grin

m0therofdragons · 10/06/2019 10:38

@18pagesfrontandback I thought @BIWI was trying a new method Grin had to read twice lol

tootstastic · 10/06/2019 10:52

Ooh some lovely losses and NSVs, well done everyone!

Just over a pound off for me this morning (1.3lbs). That’s 4.2lbs this BC.

I do have something more significant to celebrate though....I’ve reached the exactly halfway point on my weight loss journey!

Since October: 65.5lbs off, 65.5lbs to go 🙌🏼

Starting weight: 18st 10lbs (262lbs)
Weight now: 14st 0.5lbs (196.5lbs)
Lost so far: 4st 9.5lbs (65.5lbs)
Target: 9st 5lbs (131lbs)
Left to lose: 4st 9.5lbs (65.5lbs))

MrsBertBibby · 10/06/2019 11:03

Wow Toots!

namechange5575 · 10/06/2019 11:09

@Summery1 if you feel rotten in the morning, try putting half teaspoon of salt on your tongue and quickly wash it down with a glass of water. If you feel better in the next ten mins you know it's a salt issue. I had to do it for a while but not anymore - but you are doing so much exercise, you likely need loads. Try it now if you are still feeling ropey.

1stMrsF · 10/06/2019 11:22

Morning everyone!

Lots of rain here and it's cold too. Well done on all the losses (weight and inches)

@BIWI so sorry that the weather is so dire - isn't that just sods law?
@MrsKoala well done for being in the 11s - that's my next goal.
@m0therofdragons and @Youwanapizzame great losses!
@tootstastic What an amazing milestone to reach. Hope you are feeling very proud of what you have achieved.

Completely forgot to weigh this morning! Am going to record yesterday's weight, it'll all even out in the end.

m0therofdragons · 10/06/2019 11:25

Wow @tootstastic you must be noticing a real difference. Huge well done! How are you feeling? KOKO xx

MrsBertBibby · 10/06/2019 11:29

I am sat at the hairdressers covered in hair dye. I have put away loads of water. I hope they come rinse me soon or I will pee myself!

BIWI · 10/06/2019 11:38

@tootstastic that's absolutely fantastic SmileSmileSmileSmileSmileThanksStarStarStar

Lots of lovely losses and nsv’s! Blimey toots, what an achievement.

Thanks for the new thread BIWI, and so exciting that the building work has started. Ah yes the dreaded dust, we taped doors and it kept the worst out but not all. My top tip is strategically placed slipper/flip flops that the family change into as they move around the house.

Youwanapizzame · 10/06/2019 13:07

@toots that's amazing!!! Well done. What's your goal weight?

Youwanapizzame · 10/06/2019 13:09

Lol @@Mrsbertbibby 💧💧💧

KooMoo · 10/06/2019 13:45

Wow these boot camp threads move quickly. Reposting the following as I think I posted on the wrong thread:-

Hi folks. I’m just back from holiday. Happy to report that I have only put on 1lb 😬. 147lbs.

Will read up on previous posts later in week when not as busy with rl.

Good luck all!!

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 10/06/2019 14:11

Well done toots and all you losers! Grin

Anyone find it hard to only eat when hungry rather than through habit? I had a big, late-ish breakfast of 3 buttery scrambled eggs and quite a lot of smoked salmon, and as a result haven't been hungry since. Yet my brain keeps insisting that I must eat something, because it's past lunchtime, so I must be hungry. BUT I'M NOT, SO SHUT UP, STUPID BRAIN!!! Angry

TheWayOfTheWorld · 10/06/2019 14:43

@MrsBertBibby I hope you made it to the loo in time 👀

@tootstastic what a fab milestone!

@KooMoo you are my weight twinny Grin

Forgot to post today's food:

Breakfast: scrambled eggs and fried mushrooms, creamy coffee
Lunch: portion of celeriac dauphinoise with spinach.

MrsBertBibby · 10/06/2019 15:07

Just!

I have sat and watched my demented mother scoff 5 choc chip cookied on the trot. Argh!

MrsTerryPratchett · 10/06/2019 15:14

I lost some of the weight I gained last week stupid weeks 3 and 4, bastards.

I was good over the weekend except for a completely amnesiac beer. No idea what I was thinking. I finished a 5km obstacle course, went to the beer garden, ordered a beer, thinking (I kid you not) "oh I can't have an alcopop, Bootcamp you know" and downed a whole beer. I have absolutely no idea what I was thinking. Particularly as the tent next to the beer tent had a sign "vodka sodas, zero carbs".

What happened to my brain?

catontherun · 10/06/2019 15:24

Would it be ok if I joined ?

I weighed myself this morning and had a little cry in the bathroom.

I see you do your spreadsheet in total pounds so I just need to find a calculator and do the maths.

I know that low carbing worked well for me in the past, can't believe I fell off the wagon so badly last year (and never got back on it). I have a fridge full of vegetables ready for this week but stumbled across this thread and thought how helpful it would be to join in. A bit like a virtual weight loss group.
