Morning all.

Here's the spreadsheet

Hopefully we will all have successfully navigated the dreaded weeks 3 and 4, and can move seamlessly into week 5, where the scales should be set to be kind to us from now on. The rate of loss will be slower from here on, but a weekly loss of 1-2lbs should be achievable.

I have an interesting week, as our kitchen extension gets underway. At the same time, I have family visiting from Canada, so providing for them is going to be interesting! I suspect we'll be visiting a lot of local hostelries over the next 3 days Grin

Anyway, good luck everyone, and hope this is a good week for us all.

I had a brilliant lunch at the London Natural History Museum restaurant. At the top of the menu it said that all burgers were available without the bun and with a green salad instead of fries. So I had a mighty T. rex Burger (two burgers, cheese and three pieces of bacon) and salad for lunch and was well pleased with myself.

Don't know if any of you have a Bar + Block restaurant near you? They're a new Whitbread restaurant; ours is in a Premier Inn - also a Whitbread-owned business

Went there tonight and had a great meal. Fillet steak with chimichurri sauce and halloumi fries - the fries were only 3.9g per portion so, with the steak, would have made a very low carb meal. And it was really tasty. The steak was fantastic.

Sounds good @BIWI, will look out for them. Bit of a long dark teatime of the soul here. Feeling tired after working Friday and Saturday nights and somewhat irrationally feel I deserve a treat because my feet hurt. Am Sat here with coco and cream in my coffee, but shared a punnet of raspberries with ds1 instead of the salted caramel popcorn bites m and s delivered to work . ( they offload their bakery and fresh produce to local care homes on a Saturday night) for breakfast.
Yes was cauliflower cheese with corn beef , OHs favourite combo

Migraine has passed but I'm exhausted and bloated. Tomorrow is a new day and I can put the weekend of feeling crap and self sabotage behind me and get back on the wagon. I found January/February boot camp a lot easier than this time, probably because the goal is in sight. Stupid brain Angry

m0therofdragons · 16/06/2019 21:53

Scales are saying 5lbs in since Saturday am. I'm sure that includes a lot of water retention but still, how can it take a week of being strict to lose 1lb then 24 hours of bread and cake and I'm up by 5lb Sad

KooMoo · 16/06/2019 22:35

m0therofdragons I’m sue it'll soon disappear once you get back on it. Hope your migraine gone.

Is there a new thread yet for Monday’s weigh in. I’ve weighed early as away. Down 1lb to 145. Fingers crossed the downward trend continues.

Good luck you’ll.

m0therofdragons · 17/06/2019 06:12

Thank you @KooMoo
I'm going to wait until tomorrow to log weight. Up early for DD's school residential. I'm not a morning person!

MrsBertBibby · 17/06/2019 06:53

Not feeling optimistic about this week's weigh. Am lying here in bed busting for a pee, putting it off!

MrsBertBibby · 17/06/2019 07:19

Meh, no change. Although it was lower yesterday.

MumbleLumble · 17/06/2019 07:20

Glad you are feeling better motherofdragons. Migraines are the worst.

I can't believe I've only just noticed but I haven't had a single migraine since starting bootcamp! I normally get one a week/fortnight! And I normally get headaches a few times a week. Apart from the initial carb flu, I've not had any, which is an absolute miracle for me.

Can we post weigh ons for week 6 here? I'm 1.6lb down which I'm happy about. Total loss 1st 1.2lb.

MumbleLumble · 17/06/2019 07:26

@m0therofdragons I'm sorry about my last post. I've just read it back and I really didn't mean for it to sound like I'm gloating!

BIWI · 17/06/2019 07:50

@m0therofdragons - that won't be fat though! You have re-filled your glycogen stores. Drink lots of water and do (more) exercise and it should go quickly. Hopefully your migraine has gone now though?

Just off to start the new thread ...

@MumbleLumble haha I didn't take it as gloating at all. I get a couple a year but usually weather related. I think Saturday was stress/brain overload but dd1 is now on her residential so that's one less thing to think about Grin
