Morning all

Hopefully there will be some losses to record on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness but please don't be disheartened if you didn't lose (or even see a small gain.

Weeks 3 & 4 are notorious for this. Your body is getting used to the new regime, but if you stick to it, then you should see things get moving again from next week.

If you are struggling, make sure that you are following Bootcamp rules to the letter; consider whether or not dairy is an issue for you - and if you've moved to Bootcamp Light then perhaps consider going back to Bootcamp for another week or so?

Whatever the case, don't develop a case of the fuckits and jump head first into the biscuits. That's the only way to guarantee that you will gain weight!

@18pagesfrontandback yes I used ground almonds! Super yummy and I have more for tomorrow!!!

m0therofdragons · 08/06/2019 19:04

Haha @mrwalkensir Grin

Is it bedtime yet? After park run this morning I needed a nap but have been ferrying children to various parties.

Just had a lovely dinner with veg cooked in butter and bbq pork steak. Enough left overs for lunch tomorrow too.

Planning a treat tonight of banana and Greek yoghurt as I'm low on carbs so can sneak a banana 🍌

wasgoingmadinthecountry · 08/06/2019 19:16

Not thin yet (was kidding myself size wise!) BUT my asthma is improved - using my inhaler much less - AND I had a stiff hip when walked after sitting or driving for ages. Just noticed in the last couple of days it's gone.

Heartyhooker · 08/06/2019 19:58

Working nights so just speed read last couple of pages. Well done @pizza. Lots of great NSVs . I am craving chickpeas today, nights also mess with my willpower something awful. May try and slip them in a stew if I only have one meal tomorrow ( working again). On the plus side am much less hungry on said night shifts.

Had a lovely crispy omelette from diet doctor website. Basically you put the cheese in the pan first and cook the omelette on top of a lovely crunchy cheese crust. I didn't exactly follow the recipe as adding sour cream to the eggs instead of water just seems wrong. Years of cooking wisdom to overcome here, I have on occasion drained excess fat of my mince by sheer force of habit

18pagesfrontandback · 08/06/2019 21:13

That sounds bloody yum HeartyHooker!

Great NSV Wasgoingmad

Mother enjoy your ‘nana

Having and Indian takeaway tonight. Shaslick, brinjal bhaji and sag paneer. Am also, despite my intentions, having some fizz. Feeling bloody miserable today so it’s definitely in the unhealthy medicinal type way. But I’m not face planting carbs, and considering I thought about smoking earlier for the first time in about 9 years despite feeling utterly repulsed by the smell of it these days, I think it could be worse!

18pagesfrontandback · 08/06/2019 21:15

HeartyHooker I add cream to my omelette mix these days, and was also a water person of old. Embrace it, it’s yum and really helps the satiety effect.

prettybird · 08/06/2019 21:28

My (yummy) omelettes are just beaten egg cooked fast in butter. No water or cream Confused I might add grated cheese, or dollops of Boursin or garlic cream cheese half way through cooking if I'm wanting a cheese omelet.

Now scrambled eggs are a different matter and involve a good slug of cream Grin

venusandmars · 08/06/2019 21:34

@18pagesfrontandback you DO get a medal for remembering Smile lchf now means both low carb high fat AND lengthened calves higher forehead.

Looking forward to how @stuntnun comes up with the biophysics for that one¡

venusandmars · 08/06/2019 21:36

Why did the exclamation mark in my previous post go upside down? !!

m0therofdragons · 08/06/2019 21:41

@venusandmars I don't know but I want to do it too!!!!

venusandmars · 08/06/2019 21:51

Away in campervan for the weekend. Salad with left over sourcream, herb and avocado dressing with left over (cold) meatzza. Yum yum. Breakfast tomorrow will be scrambled egg and smoked salmon, after all you have to eat simply when you're roughing it and wild camping. Wink Excellent one pot cooking.

I recently made keto flat breads with 100g almond flour, 30g psyllium husk, 1 tbsp coconut flour, plus lots of Arabian spices. Warm water. Fried in butter. It was OK. Satisfied my desire for something 'bread-like' but actually made me realise that bread / carbs were never the most interesting part of the meal.

Summery1 · 08/06/2019 22:29

IstillmissBlockbuster I got a Jamie Oliver one from YouTube.
First I tried it with 1 egg, as I wanted a small portion. But I found it hard to whisk 1 yoke. The second one curdled. But my house is full of eggs! I whisked 2 yokes over warm water. GENTLE heat, as it can scramble quickly. Then melt butter and add by degree. Add a squeeze of lemon. Add the butter to your taste. I finished with a splash of water.
I'd try again with 1 yoke as it's quite simple really.

Your numbers are great. I hope to get down under 11 stone, but I might need to look at my portion size.Blush

NSV: I fitted into size 12 jeans today. Amazing.

B: 2 eggs, mushrooms, tomato
L: subway salad, beef cheese greens mayonnaise
Snack: beef patty with cheese, lettuce and tomato (barbecue)
D: Nigella type meatzza. (Picture to follow)

Summery1 · 08/06/2019 22:36

My meatzza. Polished off with husband.

Week 4 - May Low Carb Bootcamp - time to KOKO!
Summery1 · 08/06/2019 22:43

Someone posted a Nigella recipe and I followed it mostly.
I put spinach and courgette ribbons on the bottom so it wouldn't stick and to up the veg.
The minced beef was mixed with parmesan, s&p, fresh parsley, dried oregano. Topped with chives, a drained tin of tomatoes and a sliced beef tomato and grated mozzarella. It was like an easy lasagne without the Bolognese step. Would definitely do again.

Summery1 · 08/06/2019 22:46

I've started drinking Berocca as I was a bit headachey and tired. It has lots of the minerals, including magnesium, that I hear people mention.
It helps get the water down too.

SittingontheSidelines · 08/06/2019 23:09

Evening all.

Lunch was picnic frittata. Dinner left over cottage pie and FLGV with butter and sprinkle of cheese.

18pagesfrontandback · 09/06/2019 00:17

‘18’ at your service, for all your lil memory situ-lemos

Takeaway consumed. Cremaint De Loire consumed. One prawn ball consumed. Bit of choc ice-cream consumed. But, and I know this is no justification, I haven’t had the usual carb flush I would feel, so think I’ve just about got away with it. And it wasn’t much. And I’ve been so good. For months.

With a bit of luck, blob will start tmw and I can be free of the dreaded torment for another month.
And a whoosh MIGHT HELP.

Off to bed to await my epuc hangover and day of self nagging.

‘Night campers.

IStillMissBlockbuster · 09/06/2019 07:15

Thanks Summery1, I remember trying to make Hollandaise before and scrambling it....It seems a tricky one!

IStillMissBlockbuster · 09/06/2019 07:49

I literally just gained some height! Grin
I got DH to measure me and i'm 176cm or 5'9.5, nearer 5'10 actually - but I know we're taller in the mornings compared to later in the day so I think what's happened is that i'd forgotten my height and made myself closer to a normal height for a woman.

IStillMissBlockbuster · 09/06/2019 07:50

I'm not generally a fan of being tall but in this context maybe it's not so bad Grin

Rayna37 · 09/06/2019 08:52

Blockbuster I'd love to make Hollandaise but despite being a very keen cook it always seems a bit complicated. I bought a jar of it in Sainsbury's recently for about 80p, very nice though admittedly not ideal (fairly processed and contains rapeseed oil) pretty low carb though.

Summery I like berocca too, Aldi do a good cheap copy.

My race was brilliant yesterday, well fuelled by a random low carb picnic of assorted cheese, salmon, scotch egg! Much faster than anticipated. Had my first alcohol in a month afterwards 2 pints of excellent beer and have declared my holiday "open" i.e. ate some cake Will try to weigh in tomorrow and log before we fly early. Great camping breakfast of bacon, eggs and mushrooms.

readyforsunshine · 09/06/2019 09:02

Well done Rayna, have a lovely holiday.
I make hollandaise in the nutribullet, stick blenders are good too. Jamie & Delia both do an easy recipe, works every time. Top tip, if you need to keep it for a while, perhaps while getting other elements ready, put it in a warmed flask.
I’m feeling so much better on this woe & not feeling hungry or deprived. Although I’m feeling slimmer (wish I’d measured) I feel a bit despondent that tie scales are moving so slowlySad

m0therofdragons · 09/06/2019 09:19

Mini celebration in the Dragons household... another lb off so that's 3 this week. I've been steadily losing 1lb at a time so 3 in one week is amazing Grin

MrsBertBibby · 09/06/2019 09:27

Another new low this morning!

I had to take the boy shopping yesterday, as I decided 15 is too old to get away with never wearing anything but trackie bottoms. Treated myself to a sundress and a work top from White Stuff, both needing a wee bit more weight to go ideally, but fine as they are.

Plus I scored a work jacket from Whistles, half price! Black with little white spots, quite long (nice to see long flowy jackets coming back in).

MrsBertBibby · 09/06/2019 09:27

Oh well done mother!
