Morning all

Hopefully there will be some losses to record on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness but please don't be disheartened if you didn't lose (or even see a small gain.

Weeks 3 & 4 are notorious for this. Your body is getting used to the new regime, but if you stick to it, then you should see things get moving again from next week.

If you are struggling, make sure that you are following Bootcamp rules to the letter; consider whether or not dairy is an issue for you - and if you've moved to Bootcamp Light then perhaps consider going back to Bootcamp for another week or so?

Whatever the case, don't develop a case of the fuckits and jump head first into the biscuits. That's the only way to guarantee that you will gain weight!

Rayna I’ve just gone up to 14 pre boot camp at 11.4 yet I’m the same height as you! My new, cheap size 14 jeans are already loose on me at 10.13. I was loathe to buy any decent jeans while I needed to lose weight & cant wait to treat myself to a new decent pair again

Almahart · 07/06/2019 14:59

Feeling a bit uninspired- has anyone cooked anything recently that has been particularly delicious?

Rayna37 · 07/06/2019 15:01

Hmm, weirdly wrote my last post thinking I was up to date but had missed loads of the thread!

BIWI thanks I will look into that, DH may well even have it. I do seem to struggle a bit with fuelling and getting hungry, whereas DH can fast much better, skip meals and race long on nothing. Maybe I'm simply not eating enough fat. Some proper study of it would do me good I think. Also mind blown by a 6 minute plank.

Really wary of frozen veg after being fed a lot by my Mum who basically doesn't really like veg so doesn't seem to differentiate between the terrible and the great. I am a convert to frozen butternut squash though. I definitely need to experiment with roasting veg more.

pizzame great photo!

m0therofdragons · 07/06/2019 15:28

I'm having bacon and Brie on a bed of lettuce and might throw in a fried egg too.

SittingontheSidelines · 07/06/2019 15:34

@Youwanapizzame That's amazing.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 07/06/2019 15:36

So I've just had a delicious late lunch using up leftover broccoli rice. I mixed it up with some cheese (grated mozzarella and some boursin, because that's what I had, but I imagine any cheese would do), added a beaten egg to bind it, shaped it into little patties, and then fried it in butter till brown and crispy on the outside.

They were lush, and would make a lovely side dish too.

Rshard · 07/06/2019 15:42

Wow youwannapizzame! That’s a huge change.

MrsTerryPratchett · 07/06/2019 15:52

Bloody hell @Youwanapizzame that's amazing!

@18pagesfrontandback if you could actually hear me sing a lullaby you wouldn't want it recording. Not a singer!

I've got a little too fond of processed meat as a snack/bored/fridge raid type thing. Need to wean off and eat proper food.

Leelaseye · 07/06/2019 15:59

@Youwanapizzame - wow! What a change!

Almahart · 07/06/2019 16:04

Blimey yoiwannapizza that’s fantastic!!

readyforsunshine · 07/06/2019 16:06

I made a tomato sauce base, topped with flattened, browned chicken breasts, topped with a bit more tomato & mozarella then in oven. Lots of geeen veg or salad, kids love it too

ShagMeRiggins · 07/06/2019 17:11

nameusernameuser awww, your lovely mum. Great to have that support. Flowers

Nameusernameuser · 07/06/2019 17:47

Thankyou for all the kind comments about my mum! She's amazing, bless her.

Pizza wow I am so amazed! You look brilliant!

ShagMeRiggins · 07/06/2019 19:09

BIWI, re the cardio pain barrier, it is always worth cracking through it. At your own pace. Could be tough the first few times, but as you know from bootcamp, the results are worth the struggle.

I strongly encourage you to dedicate a schedule to your cardio for at least a month. Being at a good BMI is one thing, having a healthy heart is another. People can be slim but unfit; get your heart fit—Because You’re Worth It. x

BIWI · 07/06/2019 19:10

Oh bugger off! I know you're right

nobody in the house misses carbs when the variety and taste of veg is so good

“Word.” (All the sudden I’m an urban African-American Hmm)

But so true. No one in my family complains about lack of potatoes/rice/pasta if there are plenty of beautifully cooked vegetables at the table.

I do still offer pasta/rice/potatoes for the children (secondary school) a few times a week. They don’t have weight problems and they’re growing, and their sugar intake has been massively minimised at home. My goal is for them to understand balance.

Nameusernameuser · 07/06/2019 19:24

The dolmio carbonara pasta bake sauce is 5.3g of carbs per 100g so not that bad. DP is having it with pasta and I'm going to pour a little over leftover chicken, leeks and spinach. Not the best thing to go for but it's been in the back of my cupboard for months Grin

Rayna37 · 07/06/2019 19:32

Just wanted to share some karma: I know DH keeps a stash of chocolate because I give him a weekly "ration" (along with a weekly ration of nuts) because otherwise he eats both faster than I can buy them and there's none left when I want any. Well, his glovebox Lindt has melted everywhere Grin

BIWI · 07/06/2019 19:34

Oh bugger off!

Don’t make me wield my Big Cardio Stick, BIWI. Grin

Rayna glad his chocolate melted. #spiteful

Great plank photos, and can’t remember who!

Apologies to anyone who might have been offended by my “word” post and mention of urban American black people. It felt funny at the time, and very right in an ironic way. Confused

Doing fine with water today but have hardly eaten. I definitely have a bad pattern of not eating much. All low carb food, but never hungry.

And not losing much weight. KOKO.

Notlostjustexploring · 07/06/2019 20:10

Thanks for the veggie tips all. I love broccoli so I think I'm having some roast broccoli for dinner tonight. I'm actually a massive fan of frozen veg for making my life easy, especially for making 2 step stews and chillies. Must get back on the batch cooking. Also those broccoli rice patties sound lovely.

For another data point, I'm 5'4.5, currently 183lbs. Not really sure what my target weight is. I'm rather robust of skeleton so I'm not sure I could ever wear 8 stone well, but I'd like to be a size 10-12 again. That's probably sub 10 stone.

M0ther well done for cracking that stone barrier!!

Pizzame excellent progress photos!!

Okay my dinner is shaping up to be chilli roast broccoli topped with creme fraiche with a bit of salmon followed by some strawberries and cream.

m0therofdragons · 07/06/2019 20:18

Thank you @Notlostjustexploring now to keep moving downwards. We're the same height and like you, sub 9 stone I look unwell so no point aiming for low end of bmi!

Summery1 · 08/06/2019 01:15

Almahart & Greebol - we're tripletes!

Summery1 · 08/06/2019 01:17

Sugar posted too soon!!
Anyway, I'm 5ft 8.5 too. Or used to be, I must measure because I've probably shrunk. I started at 11st 13, and I'm at 11st 7 now. 11 or just below would be my target.
