Starting tomorrow's thread early as I'm not around in the morning

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

So far there seem to be some great results already, so I'm hoping they've continued over the weekend.

I love this week because the first weigh-ins are often spectacular, but also all those who were less than convinced are amazed how much they've lost!

It really sounds to me like people have really got to grips with this WOE, which is fantastic.

Here's to you all, and wishing you a good result on the scales tomorrow. (Or with the tape measure or the clothes you're trying on, if that's your preferred method of monitoring progress!)

Wow, some amazing losses! Well done! I'm feeling a little disheartened but a loss is a loss. I'm 9st 10 now, was getting close to 10 a few weeks ago, which is not good at only 5ft 3. Its funny though, I know people who can be a size 10 at a heavier weight than me, same height. I'm going to try to go by clothing. My waist feels a limmer, but belly still massive. Only exercise will sort that though.
B. Yoghurt
L. Salad, feta, salmon, coleslaw and lettuce.
D. Leftover roast, swede, green beans.

Someone up thread mentioned low carb pulled pork, I'd be interested in that recipe, most have very sugary sauces don't they?

Ninkaninus · 20/05/2019 20:51

Hey all.

Change of plan on dinner - OH brought home a curry for two. I swerved rice/onion bhajis/naan. Made up a big portion of broccoli to go with mine (frozen, steamed it for a few minutes then added a good bit d butter and some salt). Chicken tikka masala and chicken korma, so I had to forgo all but the smallest bit of sauce as my lunch was on the carbide side. However it was still lovely and flavourful. Rounded off the meal with a couple of dessert spoons of double cream to give me that satisfied feeling (to hopefully head off any grumbling about swerving yummy, bready things).

It’s been a good day. I’m looking forward to relaxing this evening, got a bottle of cucumber water to drink which will be another half a litre.

Have a good evening, KOKO.

RainbowHash · 20/05/2019 20:51

I was down 3lb during the week... was chuffed. But only 1.5 as of this morning. Will do a re-weigh tomorrow morning. Guess that's the water thing. Am glad to discover pork scratchings and marmite with cheese. I adore marmite and am missing it on toast. Any other recommendations as to what I can spread marmite on?!

My bad news is however that due to ill health and being in hospital today (hope to go home tomorrow). I've eaten TWO sandwiches (made with wholemeal bread). Not much food yesterday and none for the last 24 hours and I was ravenous now that pain relief kicked in, and this is all they had.

And I'm on IV antibiotics and fighting a nasty infection so also listening to my body a bit. I would like to carry on with LCHF but my programme is going to be delayed somewhat. There's a small part of me wondering if this drastic diet change has made me ill. Maybe introducing a small amount of whole carbs each week would be better if I'm recovering? Although would that stop Ketosis all together? Really need to give my body the best chance it can to heal and get better. TIA for any thoughts/ experiences.

mrwalkensir · 20/05/2019 20:58

Well done glorious people! Six pounds off here so very happy to be under 12 stone again. And to think my mother has me convinced that I was fat at 7.5....
Must pick up coleslaw, angostura bitters and pork scratchings! Feel so much better overall on this diet

18pagesfrontandback · 20/05/2019 21:18

Ooh blimey RainbowHash that doesn’t sound good. Personally, I would just focus on getting better first and eat what and when you need to eat for recovery. Hope you feel better soon Flowers

IStillMissBlockbuster · 20/05/2019 21:22

Hello again my lovely losers! Meant in the warmest of ways.
I only realised today that we're not allowed fruit yet. I've royally buggered that one up last week! Woops! I think that was a convenient forgetting because I did read the rules.

Also, I am going to the in laws for dinner tomorrow and I have no idea if they're going to take my plan on board or not. Probably not, I mean, I don't expect them to really.

Also, I'm guessing if we're not allowed fruit, then we're not allowed fruit juice right now. Are we allowed fruit juice after week 2?

Summery1 · 20/05/2019 21:23

Congratulations all! What a great week. I feel really motivated to keep going.
Today I ate,
B: 3 eggs with spinach and feta. 2 spoons of greek yogurt that tasted sweet!
L: chicken caesar salad, no croutons.
D: broccoli and mange tout with garlic butter.
I did lots of exercise today, swimming and cycling, so I'm off for bath and bed. Week 2, day 1 done.

Rayna37 · 20/05/2019 21:51

Istillmissblockbuster no fruit juice ever again I'm afraid, it's really not much different to a glass of coke in terms of sugar. With whole fruit you get the fibre and some nutritional benefits but juice and smoothies should be avoided at all costs.

Rayna37 · 20/05/2019 21:56

Today's food:
2 scrambled eggs
Olives, chicken salad for lunch
A babybel and a peperami on a long car journey
Hotel dinner, chicken Caesar salad was the best of a bad bunch so just avoided most of the tiny croutons.
One tea and one coffee with milk, probably a bit short on water due to the car journey.

IStillMissBlockbuster · 20/05/2019 21:59

Well shit. I bought pineapple juice at the weekend.

RainbowHash · 20/05/2019 22:24

Thanks @18pagesfrontandback makes sense

mrwalkensir · 20/05/2019 22:30

RainbowHash the antibiotics will be buggering up your gut bacteria, so guess might take a while for your innards/loss to recover? As 18pagesfrontandback says, get better first 🙂🍀

BIWI · 20/05/2019 23:01

IStillMissBlockbuster

Please just pour the pineapple juice down the sink. Why would you think the juice would be ok if the fruit wasn't?!

Actually the fruit would have been better as at least it has the fibre. But the fruit is out of bounds too

Hello bootcampers! I'm a bit late to the party, but raring to go and feeling very inspired by all your amazing week 1 losses!

Did my first bootcamp in 2017 and got to target later that year and did another one last year to keep on track. Since then its gone a bit wrong, had a stressful and emotional start to this year and used it as an excuse to eat everything in sight. Feeling fat and fed up and need to do something about it!

I've had a good first day and I've got a low carb food shop coming tomorrow, so I'm fully prepped. I started reading the thread, but it's long, so will go back and finish it now, recognising a few names from previous bootcamps and amazing to see their progress!

Sadiesnakes · 20/05/2019 23:18

5 lbs downSmile
Actually found the week quite easy, I'm surprised.

B- iced coffee with full cream and MCT oil.
L- Burrito bowl, mixed veg, chicken, cheese, salsa, sour cream,
D- mashed boiled egg, with butter and salt.

Great losses everyone!

MrsTerryPratchett · 21/05/2019 00:28

Youwanapizzame · 21/05/2019 06:46

L - gammon and salad
D - fridge foraging

Have a good day all

Almahart · 21/05/2019 06:53

Hallo all. Horrible meal last night of over cooked asparagus and under cooked poached egg! I then had a small portion chorizo and kale soup which also wasn’t that nice so finished with some Total yoghurt

Anyway, lots of water, no cheese and another half pound down

Bobbindobbin · 21/05/2019 07:13

I have been watching these threads for a while, I started two days ago at 12’10 I’ve just weighed myself twice and I’m 12,7!?? 3 lbs in two days it that possible?my stomach is much flatter this morning.

blackteaplease · 21/05/2019 07:38

Morning all, I smashed my water target yesterday and am another 1lb down overnight.

I hope you are allowed home from hospital soon @RainbowHash. You can pick up lchf when you're home and well enough to control your food choices.

m0therofdragons · 21/05/2019 07:55

Slept well and woke up feeling slimmer on my tummy... scales say 1lb on. Oh well, I seem to be dancing around the 10st mark rather than getting into the 9s. I seem to remember this at 11st so KOKO. Hopefully this time next week I'll be in those 9s.

Almahart · 21/05/2019 08:06

Bacon and mushroom for breakfast so off to a good start

Lunch will be spicy pork mince on little gems

Dinner - not sure yet but am thinking corn beef celeriac hash

DrBuckles · 21/05/2019 08:12

I hate coming here and being so negative all the time but I’m really feeling dreadful!

I had a really bad nights sleep, my back hurts, my Achilles problem has flared up, I feel so bloated. It may all be coincidental but it’s all been creeping up since the middle of last week.

I’m not eating massive portions of anything in particular, I’m using high5 zero for electrolytes etc and I have been drinking masses of water (even though I said I wouldn’t!).

I just don’t know what to do.

blackteaplease · 21/05/2019 08:18

@DrBuckles if you post your meals for a few days the bootcamp experts (not me) may be able to see whether anything needs tweaking.
