Starting tomorrow's thread early as I'm not around in the morning

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

So far there seem to be some great results already, so I'm hoping they've continued over the weekend.

I love this week because the first weigh-ins are often spectacular, but also all those who were less than convinced are amazed how much they've lost!

It really sounds to me like people have really got to grips with this WOE, which is fantastic.

Here's to you all, and wishing you a good result on the scales tomorrow. (Or with the tape measure or the clothes you're trying on, if that's your preferred method of monitoring progress!)

Nice weigh in istillmiss!!

IStillMissBlockbuster · 24/05/2019 08:06

Thinking ahead to week 3, as an alternative to eggs for breakfast, would natural/greek yoghurt with berries work ok? Would it be ok to make a coulis (without added sugar obvs)?

Notwatchingtvtoday · 24/05/2019 08:22

Morning
It’s lovely to hear how your all doing, so glad that the car problems are sorted. I have weighed myself today and put it on the sheet as I will be away on Monday, I’ve lost 4lbs so am delighted.
This weekend will be a challenge, we are are flying to France and away for 4 nights, but I am going to take my yogurt for the morning and some pre prepped Cauli and cabbage mash for tonight ( am eating and staying at my daughters student flat, before we pack it up after her year abroad) and hope that if we eat out there will be some good choices for me.
However this weekend is really a celebration of her completing her year abroad after a very shaky start and whilst grieving. As others have said life is very precious.

I think the biggest lesson for me is how you just can’t cheat at all on this woe , what I’m eating is not that different on the surface, but when I look at it closely it is so very different in carbs and calories , none of it felt very naughty but it was far too carb heavy eg lots of tea and coffee with milk, lots of nuts and as I have always preferred butter and full fat versions the combination with the odd extra most days was a recipe for weight gain.
So if anyone new is reading, listen to Biwi and drink lots of water ...

So my plan for today is
3 litres of water, I tick it off on my phone and make sure that 2 litres is actual water, 1 litre can be fruit teas Biwi is that okay ? I am 151lbs.

B Total Greek yogurt and teaspoon of Marsacapone
L fish and salad
D hopefully roast Chicken and cauliflower and cabbage mash

1 cup of tea dash of milk, 1 cup of coffee with 15ml of double cream

blackteaplease · 24/05/2019 08:32

Check out the diet doctor website for smoothie ideas once we are in week 3. There's quite a few options on there.

Ninkaninus · 24/05/2019 08:54

Hey everyone!

Flowers Flowers to all!

Just had to comment quickly to say to Summery that you can order pork scratchings on Amazon. You can’t be on bootcamp and not have access to pork scratchings! Smile

Almahart · 24/05/2019 08:55

So book group takeaway was Turkish for so really easy, I had some grilled chicken, halloumi and salad

They always eat really really late - after 9 so I had a slice of meatzza before I went. It was extremely filling but.... a bit too meaty. Not sure if I really liked it

MrsFionaCharming · 24/05/2019 08:58

I did the last boot camp and lost a stone, which I was really pleased with. Between bootcamps I lost another 3lb, which I put down to the weight loss naturally slowing, but being back on boot camp I’ve already lost 4lb this week!

It’s anazing how the carbs manage to sneak back in without noticing when you’re not keeping a close eye on it!

Nameusernameuser · 24/05/2019 08:59

Morning all!
I messed about with my scales and they've gone weird and now say I've gained weight! Will hop on the scales at work in a bit and see what they say. Might need a new battery for mine though, I feel slimmer though so not too worried. Checked my blood sugar and cholesterol at work too and I'll do it at the end of bootcamp to see if they have changed, they were in the healthy range anyway though.
Finally got paid today so can stop eating salad and leftovers, need to reign in my food budget so I'm going to take a trip to Aldi as there's a new one down the road.

NigellaAwesome · 24/05/2019 09:00

I've weighed this morning and added to the spreadsheet as I'm going away for the weekend. I'm delighted, I have lost 7 pounds since last Saturday (and had lost another 2 before I started bootcamp). Particularly delighted as the awful work stress is rearing its head again, and I haven't sought comfort in carbs. These threads really help.

I've still got a lot to go, and I have a medical procedure in 3 weeks, so I really want to lose a bit more before that. Have a good weekend peeps.

bibliomania · 24/05/2019 09:10

Joining those who are posting early on the spreadsheet, as I'll be staying with family over half-term. I'm delighted to have lost 6lbs before seeing family and friends and to just generally feel better in myself.

Waswittyonce · 24/05/2019 09:16

Have only lost 0.5lb since day one and am feeling pretty glum. I lost over a stone by calorie counting a few years ago which I've kept off, then did bc last May and lost a few more lbs, but stalled very quickly and have since regained that BC loss. It feels as if my body is conspiring against me. Every time I try to exercise I get a different injury; couch to 5K - week 4, shin splints, ballet - week 3, Achilles' tendon strain, yoga - now, massively painful wrists (plus sore Achilles). I love swimming but there's no local pool.
And now this BC failure too. I will koko, but am currently massively cheesed off.

AthelstaneTheUnready · 24/05/2019 09:21

Wow for all the early losers this week Shock Flowers Grin

Dead impressive. Star

I have lost all the 2-day rebellion binge gain from week 1, plus the additional gain from drowning my sorrows in wine on Monday. Am back to where I started but in a much better frame of mind. If I'm very good I may even be posting a loss on Monday...

B: coffee with cream, large bite of butter
L: chicken mayonnaise salad
D: depends what the butcher has that looks good and fatty, with broccoli, leeks, mushrooms

AthelstaneTheUnready · 24/05/2019 09:27

waswitty, it's not a failure yet! 1/2lb off is better than 1/2lb on - and you don't mention any measurements, or feeling a bit different?

I sympathise with the exercise - Time convinced me that running was a great thing to try, and I did my back in really badly on about my 2nd attempt. Fortunately, losing weight is about what goes in your mouth, not how much exercise you do. Exercise is great for physical and mental health, but not so much weight loss...

You don't say how much you have to lose - I'm fairly near goal weight and it is taking a long time - 1/2lb by 1/2lb - to keep moving downwards.

venusandmars · 24/05/2019 09:37

Well done for everyone posting their losses already, and good luck with your food choices over the weekend. I've found that eating out has been fine for this woe, there's usually something on the menu that works. For me the challenge is eating at other people's houses. I'm going out next week (to eat at the home of someone I don't really know). I declared that I don't like pasta (in case they were planning a pasta bake) and hopefully I can avoid the majority of other carbs.

B - avocado
L - left over chorizo and vegetable bake
D - salmon salad

blackteaplease · 24/05/2019 09:39

Ooh hello cheekbones. Just need to lose the double chin and muffin top and the mirror will match my self image in my head.

Good luck to everyone away this weekend. Koko as best you can and get back on the plan asap if you falter.

devoncreamtea · 24/05/2019 09:40

Phew! Caught up!
Amazing losses bing reported already - so motivating to read. I am trying not to weigh as had inexplicably gained weight last time I checked..Confused however things have been slightly nuts here as I said before, and I have been trapped hungry in meetings about my daughter, that drag on and on! So not really enjoying relaxed meals this week. Last review today and then half term so hoping the reduction in stress and frustration will help...!! I have been on plan though and seeing lots of nice side affects like nice skin and energy. So all good.
Almaheart halloumi! Thanks for reminding me about this deliciousness! On the shopping list...
Greebols I also reckon you could get to 11.5 - its about 5 weeks to end of June? Well done on your work, must be amazing - as a fully paid up Austen fan - I thoroughly approve of Regency frocks!
Have a good day all. Ps I have a stash of pork scratchings in case my meeting overruns...classy Grin

VeryLittleOwl · 24/05/2019 09:50

Morning everyone. The scales have been stuck on the same number since Tuesday and I'm not sure if it's because I've got PMT or because I thought I'd better start following boot camp rules properly and started eating breakfast daily. KOKO...as we're so close to week 2 now, can I skip breakfast again as of tomorrow?

B: yoghurt and cream
L: I'm out, so chicken caesar salad, no croutons
S: DH is away playing golf with his mates, so I'm hoping Tesco has something low carb in the ready meals aisle, like a PP found at Sainsbury's the other day (nearest Sainsbury's is over 100 miles away!), otherwise it may be another defrosted chilli. (I can cook, after a fashion, I just hate all the hassle when it's just me!)

readyforsunshine · 24/05/2019 09:54

Hello, late starter hoping to join you please!
Low carb is the only way I manage to lose, I just maintain or yo yo a few lbs if I ‘eat healthily’
I have put on 2 stone over the last 5 years not helped by I’ll health but am feeling better now & have a holiday in 6 weeks to focus my mind!
I’m a daily weigher (when trying to lose) & am down 3lbs so far, Day 3 today.

18pagesfrontandback · 24/05/2019 10:10

Morning Brew

Have been following but week has turned into a bit of a stressful one so bit distracted with RL. I can see that I’m not alone in this! Doesn’t it all just happen at once eh?!
With half term now as well, might not get on much for few days but am determined to stay on track, water will be the biggest challenge - but I know brings the biggest benefits so it HAS to happen. Really need to get myself a snazzy bottle for taking out and about Hmm

Well done to everyone for KOKO and Flowers to all those dealing with crap. If you can face that and still KOKO or near as dammit then you’re pretty much winning at LC and deserve to be rewarded with lots of NSV and numbers moving (downwards).

18pagesfrontandback · 24/05/2019 10:18

Oh and ‘muffining’ is probably the best thing I’ve ever read Grin. Really made me chuckle ----

Waswittyonce · 24/05/2019 10:34

Thanks @AthelstaneTheUnready. I need to lose a stone to get to the top end of BMI for my age/height but would like to lose 1.5 stone or even more! ideally.
I felt really great last year when on boot camp, but it hasn't kicked in yet this year. I gave up one of my jobs a month ago so I've got more time for food shopping prep/planning, and I am eating better than last time, so I'm a bit bemused.
Anyway strop over, I've just eaten asparagus, mushrooms and scrambled egg and had my one creamy coffee for the day and am feeling much less glum. 2 glasses of water down and blue sky and sunshine! Will spend some time weeding the garden and forgetting about my fat belly for the time being Grin

Waswittyonce · 24/05/2019 10:37

Also @AthelstaneTheUnready I'm sorry to hear about your back, hope it's getting better Thanks

AthelstaneTheUnready · 24/05/2019 10:39

Hooray for blue sky! And have a big for determination.

I've done a few of these now, and there are definitely times when you do everything right but still nothing happens, for some additional unidentified factor. If that's half-way through BC we call it a stall and everyone's accepting of the idea. Unfortunately, it sounds like one of your times is coinciding with the beginning of BC. Which is most definitely tantrum time Grin. It will happen though, you know it will.

AthelstaneTheUnready · 24/05/2019 10:40

Ach, no, my back was last year. I've done zero formal exercise since and feel so much better for it Wink.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 24/05/2019 10:43

Decided to do an early weigh in as I was walking past Boots (don't have scales so use the ones in there) and may not get a chance with the kids off school next week, as they'll both want a go on it too.

I've lost another 5lbs! Down to 11st 10lb in 10 days, thats just under a stone! It feels genuinely miraculous.
